Cassefin smiled wryly as Jen asked her question and quietly tapped one last article on her small volumetric screen before it faded away. Almost immediately, the nanocontruction floor turned from a tasteful wooden hue to a stark off-white. The floor itself began spreading outwards from the center, causing a few straggling science crew to flee towards the stairways and the much safer upper floors overlooking the center stage. One unlucky fellow who was just exiting his room on the lower floor was immediately pushed back in. Once the off-white floor had covered nearly the entire bottom floor, several large divots and protrusions rose and fell from the canvas-like floor, creating a large 'play area' with plenty of nooks, crannies, treacherous overpasses, dangerously barren corridors, and plenty of cover for the boys and girls awaiting their instructions on the sidelines.
As all of this happened, Cassefin stepped onto the newly-created white floor and almost immediately was enveloped by a series of walls, obscuring her from the rest of the squad and the rest of the room. There were some ruffling and grunting sounds for a minute or two as the rest of the arena was created, and when it was finally finished forming, the walls previously blocking the Head Administrator from sight also melted back away, revealing a Cassefin Montreal a tad different from the one previously seen.
The 'box' that Cassefin had conjured was apparently little more than a cover for a quick costume change, it seemed. Her gaudy, overdone dinner dress folded neatly in her hand, Cassefin twirled around in her new 'outfit'...a tight white jumpsuit lined with blaring red stripes complete with matching boots and gloves, a uniform to what most professional Stainball players might have worn during games. Her beloved spectacles were no longer present either, a pair of heavy, clear goggles in their stead strapped just above her brow-line. Perhaps the most noticeable change, however, was not the outfit itself but rather Cassefin's chest..which had went from size "Eh, Okay" to "Jumping Delsaurians on a Stick They're Huge". In fact, only the thickest of the thickheaded would not have noticed the ludicrously dramatic change in the Head Administrators bustline...they were, after all, normal-sized just barely a minute ago in her dinner gown. They were roughly the size of Dream's...if even a tad larger. The entire room turned awful silent at that point, as though nobody dared even breath less someone mention the new 'additions' to Cassefin's anatomy.
Cassefin, as if it weren't a surprise, seemed to not even acknowledge the change. She simply stood in a dramatic pose, hand on her hips and chin high, smiling proudly at the rest of her guests. The Head Administrator took a moment to wave up at the first floor of the crew quarters (at the guard captain, no doubt, who saluted back from across the room), and then turned back around to explain the situation.
---
"Alright folks," she said with a sly smile. "George explained the rules quite clearly earlier, but I'll repeat them for those of you who just can't remember. The Blue team will walk across to the opposite end of this arena, and after both sides are ready, I'll sound a bell and begin the match. Your weapons will be modified version of the CSS Variable Weapon...hopefully you are all familiar with them by now. You may utilize any tactics you can come up with, but try and keep it clean."
A series of racks were then wheeled in by a handful of Freespacer Automata. Administrator Peke Twenty-Two was leading the pack, riding atop her self-installed child's carseat on the large, hulking Automata's back. "Goat" (as Peke called him) gave a short wave at almost the same instant Peke did, but unfortunately they had little time to chat. The racks contained their Stainball weapons...which looked almost exactly like their old CSS Variable Weapons, save for small tweaks here and there and a new color scheme to signify their team color.
"If you are hit with a splotch of opposing color paint larger than...oh, an inch and a half in diameter," Cassefin continued as she shooed Peke Twenty-Two out. "...then you're out. Those who are out need only return to their starting areas with their arms and weapons raised, to avoid being hit further. Don't cheat, because I'll know."
Cassefin tossed her discarded dress to the side, sauntered over to the rack (with a hefty amount of jiggle, no less) picked up a red Stainball gun and stood, awaiting the others to assume their positions. "And have fun with it, sheesh. At least smile. I know you Blue Teamers know you have no chance, but you might get them out," Cassefin motioned to Lorcan, Lenny, George and Serra. "If you try hard enough. Heh."
