RP: YSS Genesis [Episode One] All the Queen's Men

The so-called 'Cherry' frowned at Yoko as she walked towards Kin. She looked at him from toes to the head. He was tall and atletic and he surely carried himself as soldier.

"Good idea Nakamura-heisho, although I am sure that Yoko will be sad that she cannon sit on someones lap." She said and send another mean look Yoko's way. "Shinon Maverick." She then introduced herself and nodded his was. She did not add her rank since it was clearly visible.

"Let's get in the car now and hurry back to the ship." She then added and moved towards the taxi. No sense dilly-dalling here. She then took out her communicator and composed a message for ms. Merkur.

Code:
We found him. Silly bugger forgot to set his watch. Expect us home soon.
Maverick

"Whatever will get you moving, Nakamura," was the Abwehran's cool reply. Rather than board the taxi, he seated himself in the SUV, offering the driver a friendly smile. "I hope you're available for one more run. We have a ship to catch, and time is of the essence." In all honesty, Rüd just wanted one more wild ride across the station before he was confined to the Genesis. Sitting in a taxi with the likes of Maverick and/or Nakamura were bland in comparison.

"Aw, no biggie - there'll be bigga parties latah." she replied to Kin. Though the opportunity to ride in a small car in horribly cramped conditions with no give whatsoever and risk horrific injuries for everyone would most certainly come...yes, maybe it wasn't such a good idea. But it was a potentially sexy, embarrassing one, and that made up for such risk completely! As the engine revved, Yoko gave out a low whistle. "Now dere's somethin I don't see often enuff - tricked out caaas done right."

At Shinon's reply however, she couldn't help but snort and guffaw. "Ya think I'm sad I couldn't sit on pretty boy's lap?" She asked. "No offense ta you 'course," she quickly added on to the man. "I was hopin ta see ya on his lap and watch yous head explode like a red firecracka." Yoko explained, quickly throwing her fingers out from a fist to demonstrate with a smirk.

"But yea, big boy's got a point - we gotta get goin, and fast." she went on, getting into one of the vehicles herself.

Shinon took a deep breath and then exhaled. She was calming herself down. She could not possibly explode now that Kin was next to her. With his rank he will probably be her second in commanding the PAs.

"Well I have one for you too." Shinon said as she looked Yoko in the eyes. "Sod off!" She said letting her nepleslian genes the better of her again.

The Geshrin woman turned her head to look over her shoulder at the Yamataian - the expression on her face wasn't the ever so playful one, or something hostile either. Yoko honestly looked a little surprised as though she didn't quite expect that . Either way, it didn't matter - "Eh, yeah. Sure goil," the head engineer replied, placing a hand on her hip and sounding a little confused. Either way, she went back to making her way to one of the cars.

One thing was certain though; Yoko and Shinon were two completely different animals.

Once everyone was packed into the vehicles, and the destinations set, it was a fairly quick journey back to Sector Seven. something or someone seemed to have decided to up the level of 'fun' on the taxis, and made them race one another and the Versa SUV on the ground. The Largest taxi proved itself to be the speed demon of the bunch, outracing everyone on the straightaway and open areas, but through much of the city within sector nine, Shinon and Kin's ride was kept mainly in check. Yoko and Yumeko had gotten into the smaller taxi, which proved to be much more nimble than its larger cousin, easily losing the harder-turning taxi along the many twists and turns that made the path to Sector Seven and the Genesis.

However, Both taxis would be surprised when they arrived, nearly simultaneously, about half a minute behind the Versa that carried Rued and the grinning, unspeaking young woman who drove it with reckless abandon. Rued's heart rate had probably shot up several times during the transit, but it would have been hard to say that the trip was unexciting for any of them.

Back at the Genesis, they were greeted by Sierra and Seth, the former who made her way to greet her sister, the latter of which approached Shinon and Kin.

"So, Mister Nakamura, what do you have to say for yourself? From what I've heard you neglected to adjust your clock properly. was there anything else?" Seth asked, somewhat stiffly, as usual.

Kin scratched the back of his head, looking almost nervous. "Ah, well, you see, I have family here and I went to visit them. Then I was going to go sightseeing 'cause I thought I had a few hours, but, it looks like I was wrong." He chuckled at that, bowing deeply in apology. "I'm sorry, sir. It won't happen again, sir!"

"It had better not," Seth replied simply, scowling. He then handed the soldier a datapad, explaining simply "Here is the briefing you missed. I would like you to go over it and send me a report as soon as possible."
As the taller soldier looked over the datapad, the Taii turned to the rest of the group. "As for you, we've had some confirmation on a few things. In a week, after the new year, we will be getting our Captain, and a few more personnel. That is when we will launch, so I would like you to all get familiar with the ship and each other, as much as possible, that is all." And with that, he turned and walked back to the ship.

After hopping out of the SUV with a big grin on his face, Rüd turned to his driver and said, "I look forward to doing that again," with perhaps a hint of something other than adrenalin-charged excitement. Then it was back to business in the Nightwalker's not so business-like manner.

At least he was wearing the uniform properly.
