Nen Daiko:
www.nendaiko.org
Taiko has a rich history dating back to feudal Japan. Throughout the country, a single taiko was used in rural areas during ceremonies in hopes of successful harvests. The taiko became an integral part of religious services in Buddhist and Shinto temples. During times of war, the taiko was used to rally troops into battle. It is said that land boundaries were drawn by how far a taiko could be heard. Nen Daiko will be performing on Sunday at 12 noon in Main Events.
