Attention....
Clear starboard landing pad...Shuttle Intrepid cleared to land as requested in logistics control log by order of Cadet Corro Aldrich

The T4 Lion shuttle craft entered through the forcefeilds and into the bay setting down on the starboard landing area after being guided into its final resting place by a crew of flight deck personnel the all clear was given and the shuttle's hatch opened. One of the Namiko's pilots emerged onto the deck, and spoke briefly to the crew before giving a nod and wave in Corro's direction giving the cadet the heads up that the shuttle was now under his control.

Meanwhile on the Flight Bridge there was a scramble as the duty officer announced that they were to give the 17th the okay from the bridge to begin launch procedures. The AI chimed the launch deck twice and then issued the announcement.

The deck teams reported to their positions, the polished black deck of the launch bay was cleared as the deck crews began to check over the launch systems of the armors, waiting for the all clear signals from the pilots that all was in working order. The forcefeilds shimmered with a visible blue charge as they were set to maximum, the deck chief giving an all clear signal to one of the enlisted who posted the communication to the flight bridge.

Mission personnel to board shuttle Intrepid please do so now. Begin prelaunch procedures and await clearance to launch.

"..."

Jack Talon's eyes drifted to the cieling, waiting for his Wing Leader to answer him, but he was unable to ignore the announcement from Katsuko on the speaker about launch preparations.

He saluted stiffly.

"Ah, I apologize for the inconvience, sir. I'll be making my way to the Armor Bay now. Glad to have you leading us, sir."

Talon lowered his salute and pivoted on the heel of his boot, making haste toward the lift.

Once there, he sighed and pushed the call button.

"Great, he probably regrets choosing a cadet like me, now. I'll try not to screw up or take any unneccessary chances. Maybe then I can redeem myself," he thought as he waited for the lift to arrive.

Caine was already in the bay, getting suited up in his Kylie via the orders given by Corro. He smirked feeling most at home in the armor and stretched his limbs a bit and winced, feeling the catheter, he hated that but could understand the use for it. "Ihate that catheter."He said holding the helmet under the crook of his arm. He looked over the other pilots getting suited up. "Screw Kasairyuu, we look like a bunch of hornets getting ready to go defend our hive"he quipped.

With his mind preoccupied with other thoughts, the sudden announcement from Katsuko and Tachiko's arrival stunned him for a second. His eyes seemed a bit distant for a few seconds.

"Ah, I apologize for the inconvience, sir. I'll be making my way to the Armor Bay now. Glad to have you leading us, sir."

"Hmm? Yeah, ok." Corro said half-heartedly as he shifted through his datapad in his hands. He waved Jack towards the rest of the armors.

"Santo Hei Takeda Tachiko?" Corro asked as he looked up from the data. A quick glance down again and then back to the neko. "A combat medic, any experience?" He continued to spit out questions even before receiving an answer to the last.

"Anyways." He mouthed as he used a stylus to mark down that she had reported in to him. "We are about to get under way in a rescue mission for a shuttle that we lost contact with. I don't know if any of the mission specialists on board were hurt or not. But I feel it would be prudent to take a medic along with us."

As the announcement that the Intrepid had just landed reached his ears, Corro smiled. "Takeda I want you to accompany the Santo Hei Kard and the pilots onboard that shuttle down to the surface. Assist them in any way possible, I hope you are able and willing. Dismissed." He ended curtly and nodded his head to Tachiko.

He began to march over to his own Super Phalanx powered armor. The technicians he refitted the shoulders to have the chevrons of a cadet placed on it. Also the helmet now had a small, horn-like protrusion, coming out of the forehead. Removing his jacket and excess clothing, Corro began readying himself. "KAMI please broadcast this announcement." Corro asked the ship's AI. Taking a breath he began his announcement.

Kasairyuu Wing, you heard the announcement. Ready all armors for launch. All personnel assigned to the Intrepid board for launch immediately. Non-essential personnel are asked to stand clear. You have less than 3 minutes!

Tachiko snapped a salute as he turned and left, more than a little stunned her self that he didn't give her time to answer his question. She looked down at the paperwork, then around at the pilots rushing to their armor.

Rushing to dispatch to get issued what medical equipment she could, and some armor, Tachiko tried to calm herself. Barely out of training, and not onboard for twenty minutes, she was about to deploy on an emergency rescue mission.

"Tachi-rin, steady, there will be people who might need you down there. This is why you even exist.

A few calming breaths, and she handed the signed dispatch back to the logistics clerk, running off to find this "Kard."

Camellia was near Caine when he made his statements. Smiling, she pulled back the silvery white hair she had draped over half her face and pinned it back.

"Hornets you say?" She said, still smiling, and with her left eye closed.

He looked over at Camellia and grinned a bit and nodded. "yeah we're getting on our armors in a buzz and preparing our weapons for possible battle." the blonde chuckled. "At least we're not strapping stingers to our asses and dancing around to say where the target is." He laughed again, enjoying the mental imagery. He offered her a gauntleted hand and nodded, looking into her eyes. "I'm Santo Hei, Caine Ionoche." Caine introduced himself as.

Looking around in the mess of the armor bay, obviously stopping at his room to try and do up his hair was a bad idea. The obvious confusion and feeling of urgency overtook Sayo, who had upon seeing the bay, broke out into a run towards his assigned Kylie.

Standing a full 6 feet in the air, the sleek black armor glimmed in the hanger's lighting arrangement. Strapping up for the first time since training, he immidiatly flexed out the joints to refresh to himself just how it worked. Lifting the arms, he took note of the rail guns, as well as the projection beam weapons. Smirking to himself, he opened his communications channels and began testing his output to his wingmates.

"Check, check...Yamamoto Sayo, Callsign "Blackhawk", request acknowledgement of full communications, over," He called out over his comm unit, looking around to his fellow armors.

Sticking his thumb up in the air, the ground crew chief looked over toward Sayo and shouted, "All's green, your good to go!", signalling him with light sticks to pull out onto the main floor...

She took his hand and dipped slightly, shashing a skirt that wasn't there.

"And I am Itto Juni Camellia Sarri." She said with a bow of her head, when her gaze returned, he saw both of her eyes, and noticed one was not the same color as the other. (One being red, the other blue)

Caine blushed at the curtesy, having totally unexpecting it from a superior officier. He bowed to her upon hearing her rank and felt a bit ashamed for not noticing earlier, when he saw her eyes he blinked and looked closely. "My I hope you don't mind me saying but you have very pretty eyes. very alluring." he winked.

Roger strapped on his personal armor and, with engineering equipment in tow, clambered into the shuttle. He was going to need to get direct access to the downed shuttles computer, and if it ment physically hacking out the core, he wanted to make sure he could do it. Plus, plasma torches had this nice characteristic of being extremely handy in numerous situations; if the damage was minor, he wanted to at least try a quick repair job, and if he needed to scuttle the thing, cutting the fuselage in half was about as certain a method of doing so as he could manage sans explosives. Mind you, like any good engineer, he had considered but dismissed the latter idea, yet still packed the detonation satchels.

He was about to give the okay for the pilot team to close up the shuttle when he spotted out of the corner of his eye someone talking to the wing leader. Curious, Kard leaned against one of the gas pistons holding open the back ramp, and was suitably surprized when the neko whipped out a uniform perfect salute and came running straight for the shuttle. The green uniform identified her as medical, but if she was going along with them on a surface drop mission, that meant she was enlisted, or at most, a warrant officer. A medic, maybe? He hadn't had much contact with the YSA medical core, but from what he heard of them, they were pretty well trained. Guess I'll find out first hand.

As she approached, she shouted something at him over the sound of the engines starting up. "What?" Roger had to strain to hear her ask him if he was who he was. "Yeah, that's me. I take it you're coming along? Good! Get up here and you can explain to me the rest after we close the ramp! I've got bad enough hearing already!" He waved her in, and updated the pilots of the new passenger of the shuttle over the intercom. Hey, he was always a big fan of safety in numbers.

In an ill-fitted suit of unassigned armor, newly marked with an ersatz green paint job that had only the time it took Maintenance to make the preflight checks to dry, the Medical 'Neko clambered up the ramp, arms full of as much equipment as Supply could manage sscramble to the bay on such notice.

Tachiko gestured to the loadmaster packing the equipment- the environs are far too noisy for shouting, trying to give directions as best she can, obviously not satisfied with the job. In turn, he expressed his annoyance with his load plan being disrupted by a last-nanosecond passenger addition carrying more equipment than just about any two of the other team members combined.

Giving a resigned sigh once the medtech is secured cargo, she approached the engineer. "Santô Hei Takeda Tachiko, YSA Med Corps." Tachi looked down at the armor helmet nestled under her left arm, where emblazoned the initials, "TT," as she'd managed to sweet talk the guy with the green paint into adding, "Just call me TT, it's much quicker to say over the comm."

With the preflight was finished, Bishop's Super Phalanx was online and ready for launch, helping the greener pilots around get ready
"Everybody on SLICS," He told them over the comm
"we'll be launching soon and you'll need to fly in formation,"
Corros message braodcast over the comm and Bishop got ready, he was good to go and turned to the others
"You heard the Wing leader, everybody should be good to fly by now so lets move," he said, walking towards the rest of the wing on the main floor by the main bay doors, the last of the ground crew was clearing out,
"And remember," he said to the pilots he had helped,
"You were born for this job,"

Corro finished settling into his Super Phalanx within a minute after his announcement. As he looked about the armor bay, the sight of the pilots amassing and readying themselves gave the Nepleslia a surge of pride.

Placing his armor's helmet on he pressurized his suit and began a steady march towards the force field at the end of the bay. As he passed by several pilots he gave them a quick knock on the head to get them standing up straight and following after him.

"Flight bridge, this Cadet Adlich, squadrons A through C stepping up to launch positions, squadrons D through F are on standby." He announced into the Akuro's communication network. Then turning his communications over to the wing network he started again. "Squadrons A, B, and C step up to designated launch positions now. Squadrons D, E, and F be ready to move into position after the first launch."

"Check, check...Yamamoto Sayo, Callsign "Blackhawk", request acknowledgement of full communications, over,"

Grimacing and sighing to himself Corro activated a private communication link with Sayo's armor. In a low and very demanding voice Corro spoke to the pilot. "I would advise against that Santo Hei. Haven't you ever heard it is considered bad form for a pilot to choose his callsign? Live through this and maybe then you'll get one from your comrades." Corro cut his link after he finished, not wanting to hear a response or protest.

Corro continued to march around the front of the bay watching the squadrons he had order get into position. Not far behind them, squadrons D, E, and F began to form up. Each of the squadrons was made up of close to 100 armors. All of the pilots called by Corro to be with him on the rescue mission were not assigned to a squadron, yet. They would soon be called to set up for launch.

The last of the pre-launch reports had been filed, and the deck chief cleared the armors for departure, allowing the AI to determine flight corridor and final verification of orders.

"17th, this is flight control, you are clear for launch on flight corridor Tau. Your flight plan is pre-scheduled and is verified by the duty officer. Please form up and launch at the discretion of the wing leader.â€

Recieving the communication from Corro, and with a slightly disgruntled sigh, he flipped a switch to open back to Corro's armor and said,

"Apologies, it was never brought to my attention. What is it I should refer to myself as? The masked avenger?" Sayo chuckled slightly in jest and flicked the switch again. Checking over various lights and screens to mark full operational status, he pulled out alongside Corro's armor.

Lightly fanning herself with her hand, Camellia gave Caine a smile. "And you, Santo Hei, need to work on your lines." She said while slipping her helmet on and walking over to the launch platform.

He watched her go for a moment and blinked at the term "lines" he didn't mean to try and pick up on her...did he? He put his helmet on and went over to the launching platform as well, Caine looked at her and blinked in his helmet still, confused by what she meant but would soon shrug it off.

ON> Kasairyuu Wing, Taiie IV rescue mission (Lost in SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE!)

Corro received the flight controls ready orders. Putting on his best demanding voice he turned to his wing. "Squadrons A, B, C launch! Good speed!" With that said, the three hundred armors began to lift off from the armor bay and exit the forcefield in a tightly packed group. Slowly they expanded outward into a sweep patrol formation as they went off to meet the YSS Cnidari. Elsewhere in the wing, the rescue team ((player characters)) received flight protocols and a flight path on their armors' HUDs. As the last of the first wave left the bay the next three squadrons lined up where their comrades had been. "Squadrons D, E, F launch! Good speed!" Corro continued. The next wave began to lift off and leave the protective envelope of the Akuro.

Inside the Intrepid the shuttle pilot from the YSS Namiko approached Roger and Tachiko after securing Roger's plasma torch. "We'll be lifting off soon." the NH-17 started. "There's some seats in the front cabin with me." The pilot motioned to follow as she began to enter the cockpit and run the last pre-flight diagnostics.

"Sounds good to me, I always enjoy a good view with my trip, eh TT?" Roger said as an aside to the medic. He turned back to the pilot. "Any clue how long we'll be out here?"

Tachiko looked around, another check. Making sure everything is secured down in the rear before heading to the front. She didn't offer more response to his question than a noncommittal nod, but it was likely rhetorical anyway. Tachiko sat down, finding a seat to her liking, and performed a quadruple-check on her sidearm.

Jaq took from a pouch a length of wire, and on this wire were the right 2nd knucklebone of 7 men he had once killed in combat, all were beached white. He attached this trophy rack to his left shoulder pad to display it to the world. To show fear was not an issue to him and that he could over come obstacles. Most especially men!

"It's all according to how long the Cnidari needs escorting and if the landing zone is hot, so to speak." the pilot responded as the monitors flashed to life and began to start up. She began to input a few command codes and began a text conversation with the flight control. The operating system was up and the Intrepid was ready to go on the order.

Caine kept to himself and was going through a few warm-up motions to adjust to his Kylie and smirked a bit. "I'm ready" he said and looked at Jaq. "Creepy..."

As the pilots launched the Cnidari awaited them. The first of the Star Army's Hummingbird Class CDC's was slightly larger than the almighty Chiharu Flagship, the profile nearly the same with the exception of the two massive payload bays on its ventral and the massive Katsuko Class Colony Base docked on its X234 docking port. Indeed combined these two made the old Horizon Colony ships look obsolete, they were the pride and joy of the 5th as that their design was based off the recommendations of Taisho Motoyoshi after her mission to the GE universe.

Locked in deep concentration amidst the graphs and charts his Armors' computer was bringing up, Sayo popped a small data chip into an access port, as the sounds of Italian opera flooded the cockpit. Reading the atmospheric pressure and chemical makeup of Taiie IV, Sayo noted a few facts and awaited Corro's orders...

After getting situated and ready, Camellia glanced over to the side and saw Jaq, adding the interesting addition to his armor. "Jaq," she said over the radio, "you realize those will burn off and up when we enter decent. Correct?"

Turning to the other members of the wing Bishop spoke into his comm. "Alright Sync up on SLICS everyone, lets keep this formation clean, and Christ Jaq, will you take those things off"

"How is it you can kill a man but you can't see the fruit of it?" Jaq replied to Bishop "And don't worry about it they have been chemically treated I'll just have to recover them after this and they will be fine"

"Rescue team to the line!â€

ON> Kasairyuu Wing, Operation begin (Virtuous Mission)

As the YSS Cnidari began its slow orbit around the planet, the remains of the 17th wing began to disengage and return home to the Akuro. The rescue team approached a position indicated on their HUDs, marked with the label ‘rescue rendezvous'. "Intrepid, this is Wing Leader Adlich. You should have received the coordinates for the rendezvous and the coordinates to the last known position of Trotter.â€
