RP: Setareh Wing [Four] Take On Me

Opera House

While Zoren was engaged outside with the others, he managed to get himself separated from his team that were still pushing to the objective. He cursed as he faced the other three NVR VANDRs. He feigned a strike and transformed back into his ARMS form and blast skyward away from the opponents. He banked hard as several salvos of enemy fire flashed all around him, peppering his shields.

"You'll pay for that." The doctor snarled, turning his craft back towards the enemy and flew low, kicking up whatever got in the way of his exhaust. He fired several shots into the enemy VANDR and transformed back just as he was upon the them. His blades acred in wide swathes as he cut the NVR down where they stood.

He took several deep breaths as he assessed the damage to Enigma. "Zoren here, got separated. Still good to go. I will hold the perimeter."

Conditions were cramped within the cockpit of Archer, and Irfan's shoves felt like a fly landing on his side on a hot summer's day. Shaanti felt the ghost of a smug grin spread across his lips as he shut the cockpit.

"Backseat drivers..." he muttered with a shake of his head. Then, Archer was cloaked again, moving towards the rendezvous point, steering clear of large battles where he could, but managing to send a few well-placed shots out from a distance to help his fellow Vanguards.

Naak cleared the area of any possible enemies with a sweep of sensors and visuals, "We've got them all! Ishtar I'm counting on you to find the nearest safehold! Everyone else, distract the few enemies left outside of the opera house and, above all else, protect the Sahti! Protect the Makuzhar!!"

"Consider it done." Zoren replied to Naak. He transformed again and began providing air support from above. He dove towards the enemy units below and fire salvo after salvo into them, before banking at the last second, attempting to either kill them outright or to get their attention. Better they were shooting at him and not the Makuzhar...

As he pushed into his seat, he gritted his teeth and fired another salvo of missiles from Enigma. "Come on! Let's go!"

Ishtar had gone rigid as her frame stayed in its upright position. The VANDR hadn't moved until Naak's voice cut in. Blinking, the FIOMNI then felt a hand on her shoulder in a companionable manner of support. She didn't need to be told who it was that had just done this. Screwing her countenance up into a look of determination, the GE lifter rings thrummed with power. It wouldn't do to mess up now, not with the Makuzhar of the Commonwealth sitting not but a few inches behind her. As the Sahti floated upward, another set of rings engaged to propel the frame forward. Once outside she'd increase the speed without worry.

After the scanned turned up that there were no more civilians in the facility, Karuah quickly followed Ishtar out of the Opera house. After all she had to make sure they got out safe with the Makuzhar. IN the open though it was a bit more difficult and she couldn't just fly after them and block fire, there would be no end to it.

Instead Saeid fired a full salvo of RCMs at a low altitude once more. The electrically charged cloud causing interference and throwing off sensors as well as working to disipate beam weapons. The system had quickly become Karurah's favorite with this mission, but she still had more to do. With the cloud a a distraction a follow up salvo of RBFs were fired into the cloud to create false targets to further throw off any assailants.

Shaanti, with Irfan riding shotgun, stayed high in the sky, cloaked to the world, picking off specific targets who posed a threat to his team and the Makuzhar. A silent guardian angel, delivering death from the clouds.

"...So... How did you get your VANDR destroyed?" he asked Irfan casually.

Airspace Above Opera House

It was at this time that several wings joined in on the escort of the Sahti VANDR Ishtar, the FIOMNI that was flying through its rings assuredly. Inside the VANDR, her sensor readouts would show the full spread of VANDR forming up around her.

"We really have to work on their timing," Naak said to Victory.

"Confirmed," said the NI.

To the wing, she said, "Follow in Ishtar's footsteps. We'll escort her and her important parcel back to the nearest and most well-suited fortification. Dreams are not always sweet, Setareh! Destruction was met, but lives we serve to protect were saved on this day. May the Commonwealth rest easy tonight. Tomorrow, reparations will begin!"
