Distinguishing features: Silver earring in left ear, always wears a pendant of a small dragon head and wings supporting a small cross with a star contained in a circle. He also has nearly perfect accuracy for a human.
Personality: Despite having a relatively difficult youth, Haitori is a good man with well established morals, beliefs and opinions. He's also unusually calm and collected under stress, due to extensive training as a military sniper. Haitori is personable and nice, somewhat laid back, and rarely raises his voice except in fierce oppositiion to something.
Likes: Target Shooting, Drinking with friends, physical training
Dislikes: Being idle for too long (which explains partially why he's so educated as well)
Skills:
Biology: As a sniper, Haitori had to study nearly every bit of biological data on most known humanoid species to know where to aim to achieve desired results. Though he is fascinated with neko biology as they extert some control over it. He is extremely familiar with both Human (Geshrin and Nepleslian) and Elysian biology (At the time, elysians were YSA, then GSA's main enemy).
Fighting: This is where Haitori truly shines and gets him apart from his peers, he is in excellent physical condition and has mastered basic self defense, hand-to-hand combat, a self taught form of aikido, and is training in shaolin kung fu currently. He recently attained a respectible proficiency with the "Kylie" power armor as a result of service on Nepleslia and Yamatai.
Knowledge: As a result of his dislike of being idle for long brought Haitori to study quite a bit and is educated in many subjects but his main focus has been Tactical in both ground combat and starship combat. Though his current focus is YSA History.
Leadership: Aoyama-san is a natural born leader, a fact that sometimes causes friction between him and his superiors. He has experience leading small units of troops from his time in the military police.
Rogue: Streetsmart and adept at sleight of hand, used to quickly gather evidence on someone without too much notice.
Weapons: Haitori has experience using all rifles, both solid and energy as well as adept at using most types of pistols as well as melee weaponry.
Technical: Another result of his dislike of being idle for too long, he's studied in starships extensively in preparation for service aboard a ship, and also to better understand the techinical information on the Kylie to better maintain it. Though Haitori is mainly a combat specialist, he can easily adapt to being a technician, he still has many details to learn though and he finds that intriguing.

Haitori was born with the name "Diaz" but was later changed to "Haitori." He had an abusive father and very submissive mother on Yamatai (at the time: Geshrintall). Later in his life, his father was killed in military action: much to the relief of his mother, but also brought on hard times for them both. His mother did not have any skills outside the domestic realm and ...some less mentionable areas... But fortunately they were taken in by a benevolent neko in exchange for service from Haitori's mother. The neko: Mina Mishiharu soon changed his name to a more Japanese type. At the age of 15, entered into military service.
Later at age 18, he was reassigned to Nepleslia, as a part of the police force, for his uncanny accuracy and trained as a sniper.
Age 23: Returned to Yamatai for retraining as a Kylie Pilot to serve in a spacebased fleet.
