Welcome to Star Army!

I've moved this topic to the New Character Biographies forum.

Please read the New Players Guide. It explains how joining and submitting a character works. You'll want to make a wiki page for your character using the Character Creation Guide.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have.

Thank you! I do not understand, under skills, the large text box section. I have named my 7 traits (tech, math, knowledge, leadership, engineering, starship ops and chemistry) but I don't understand the rest. Thanks!

You can write in the skill areas information about species skills within that area - what are some things the character can do, what are they particularly good at, how did they get those skills, etc. It doesn't have to be a lot of text, but some explanation helps flesh them out.

Question: If you don't intend to join a plot, who do you intend to roleplay with?

I suggest getting a feel of the universe by putting your first character into one of the active plots so you get some interaction with other players.

If you still want to create a corporation, you can submit an article for it in the New Technologies and Setting Elements forum.

I have been in a few RPG's before - does that influence you into believing that it would be ok? And can I please have the link to that forum? Thanks!

Thanks very much. The plots look like canons themselves though - stories if you will. I though it was one universe?

Indeed, all of these stories are going on in the same universe.

The vast majority of our plots, at the moment, are military ships. As such, they're geared toward soldier characters that start out at the bottom as grunts and work their way up as they endure the horrors of war. I don't think a corporate bigwig would really fit will in any of our plots as a player character (as opposed to someone controlled by the GM) and it might be unbalanced because of the large amount of resources he'd have access to compared to other player characters. My advice is to start with a more humble "starter character" so you can fit into one of these roleplays easily, and then work on your corporation and CEO character as a side project that you can eventually build into your own plot or NPC faction.

(Note: I'm going to bed so I won't be able to respond for another several hours)

I will add a bit where he has wanted to join the army to learn war skills etc. and therefore will start at the lower ranks.
