"This is the Nepleslian News Network, returning to a monitor near your favorite rifle mantle..." A familiar site of anchors on the staple Nepleslian show were being panned into with the trademarked logo of the news-show. A burly brute of an anchor, the sandy-haired primetime anchor spoke out sharply.
"Apparently, there has been many months of investigation and trial tightly kept under media lockdown by the Premier himself. A close investigation that was thrown into chaos from what our sources say over where the ID-SOL can go in the future is not the only evidence, but it only raises a bigger question. If they're keeping such a tight hold, does that mean that we might see a pride of Nepleslian possibly returning?" The camera panned to show a rather bulky and bloody warshot of an ID-SOL from clearly archived history.
The camera then cut back to the studio where the blonde brute sat and went on, “Next in news, the war with the Elefirn and what that means for the… relations… between Nepleslia and those to our East, Yamatai!”
“As you all know the NSS Inquiry was attacked by Elefirn forces during a planetary expedition and Elefirn were taken into custody, revealing a larger scheme by the Kuvexian Kingdom to take over our sector of space through any means necessary, including other alien species. The Rixxikor, the Elefirn, the L’Kor we’re hearing so much about from Yamatai. They’re all fighting for the Kuvexian Kingdom. What does that mean for our homely section of space?”
"The Premier has remained tight lipped, but several top level Nepleslian government and military personnel have been seen in talks and the Premier himself has flown to Yamataian space to speak with the Taisho of the Star Army according to inside sources. There has been no formal announcement of ties between the Imperium and the Empire, though that is where this reporter thinks things are going.”
The news reporter, signaling the end of the segment, looked to the camera of a different angle and added, “That is all for tonight, keep the fingers of one hand on the trigger and the other on the remote! Good night.”
