"Finally, I was getting bored sitting around"

His eyes zeroed in on Dom, would the fatigue in his eyes show ? That was a question for him to ponder later, now he actually had something to do. "Work? That's good. The opposite would be concerning" Leonard dusted off his coat and followed Dom, electing to keep it on rather than take it off, there was a strange draft inside the ship and he wasn't sure if it was only him that noticed it.

The oddly casual Silanbar wandering about caught his attention for ten seconds before the rest of the ship's occupants did. Mostly humans here and there like himself, thank god. A hare anthro that looked a little too excited to be there. A certain 'D3' his ears kept picking up sounded interesting but Leonard wasn't about to break rank over it and wander off, he had a job to do, after so long.

D3 looked at the large dragon nurse as she spoke and gave her a candy, looking to the candy for a moment D3 blinked then gave a thumbs up to Holgi the small creatures eyes having light up with joy as she seemed to regard the little candy as some treasure, seeming about to simply rip it open and enjoy before stopping a moment and taking out a list of rules for the cargo floor before nodding and ripping the cover off the treat and popping it into her mouth. As she did so a look of contentment grew on the small females face as she finished up her work and then scooted off still enjoying the treat as she had other tasks to perform while still under the temporary employ of the station.

One of those said tasks was a quick walk around with her tools to make sure the myriad of different equipment they had in the cargo area was in working order, they had mechanics and the like but they focused on the larger more important systems and tools and only really took a look at the smaller things when there wasn't anything larger in need of being looked at, which on a station like this was a rarity, all the work caused the machinery to require constant maintenance, and they tended to replace rather then maintain the smaller things, Like the lift previously.

Walking over to a little marked off area where more of the lifts were lined up for repairs D3 started to go through them and doing diagnostics and visual inspections of them to make sure she was fixing the right things, before taking her tools and starting in on damaged motivators, worn down rotational joints, misaligned hoists, and out of spec settings. things like this happened with so many cargo hands and the massive amounts of various cargo that came through the station and a lot of people forgot to reset things back or just plain didn't know how to.

Thankfully it didn't take to long to finish the work on the few she needed to get up and running quickly and soon she was scooting off again to take stock of the foodstuffs that they were waiting to load onto a ship that was meant to take it back somewhere, and once there she started to go over the manifest to ensure it was all there and ready for loading even making sure to clearly mark was what the more fragile of the cargo for ease of loading.

The station klaxon sounds off, "All gunnery personnel, man your stations! All gunnery personnel to your stations!" There was a pause. Then another message came on: "Incoming ship under attack, Hold fire unless station comes under attack." Then the lights dimmed, and red lights started to slowly light up and dim as the station went into Combat readiness.

There is a Kuvenaxin transport ship that has been hit a few times smoking and on fire in places There are a ton of small fighter pods attacking the ship, as with a few small craft attacking the ones attacking the transport, and a cruiser that is attempting to stop the transport. Dropping from hyperspace are two guns ship that open fire on the battlepods, and a battlecruiser drops from hyperspace and moves to block the attacking cruiser firing a full broadside of warning shots at it. Before the attacking cruiser peels off and the battle pods pull away. The two gunships follow the transport into the station and the battlecruiser moves to make sure the other cruiser keeps bugging out. The transport, gunships, and battlecruiser have the icon of Quallox Vaibal on their sides.

The station sounds the klaxon once more and announces "Fire crews to incoming ship, Gunnery crews stand by but do not leave the station holding area. Repeat, Fire crews to incoming ship, and stand by gunnery crews. The com pads for Lenna, and Dom ping as an incoming message comes to them. The is the following "Incoming ship has notified that station that you are expecting them. They request time to repair before unloading cargo."

D3 may or may not have got a notice of the same incoming ship also.

Mileena observed her fellow crewmates aboard the ISS Sobek, her keen eyes taking in their various interactions. As a Fox anthro, she’d always felt like she was on the edge of the group, aware of her differences and the secrets she carried. Her mind wandered to her past, a history entangled with secrets she rarely allowed herself to think about—especially now that a member of the D3 species was aboard. Talking about it had crossed her mind, though the thought brought unease. She imagined the surprise and maybe even judgment she might face, and so, Mileena chose silence.

Her gaze drifted to Nikicon, her closest friend—a Snowshoe Hare anthro with an easygoing demeanor that had always put Mileena at ease. She wanted to confide in her, to unburden the weight of her past to someone she trusted, but a familiar hesitancy held her back. She knew she could count on Nikicon, but what would she think?
Her thoughts were abruptly interrupted as Detritus Station’s klaxon blared, a harsh sound that made her ears twitch and her senses sharpen. The automated voice rang through the corridors, “All gunnery personnel, man your stations! All gunnery personnel to your stations!” The message was clear: something was approaching.
There was a pause before the voice continued, “Incoming ship under attack. Hold fire unless the station itself comes under threat.”

Mileena’s fur bristled involuntarily as the station shifted into combat readiness. The overhead lights dimmed, replaced by the slow pulsing of red warning lights, casting a tense glow over everything. Being a crewmember of the ISS Sobek rather than the station meant she didn’t have a designated role in its defenses. She glanced around, noting the station personnel moving with purpose, each knowing their position and duty. She winced as the klaxon sounded again, the loudness prickling her sensitive ears. Though she wasn’t assigned to a gunnery station, the unease in the air stirred her instincts. A part of her felt she should do something, anything, to help—especially if Nikicon or others she cared about were in danger.

D3 was in the middle of doing her checks for the cargo that was meant to be heading out that day when the claxon sounded, she looked up and blinked a moment as the alert was sent out and she nodded and put her pad away and scooted towards her ship, As she passed the Sobek she waved to the crew still there and typed out a quick message for them and scooted up to them so they could read it. "Please stay close to your ship as the docking bay will become very busy with fighters getting ready to scramble at a moments notice, as well as damaged fighters returning for repairs if called out. We are also going to be having a damaged ship come in so there will be emergency responders rushing through. Thank you for your understanding" after making sure the crew's captain and second and anyone within easy reach got to read her message D3 gave a wave then scooted back down their loading ramp and to her ship.

Once inside she started the start up sequence, the already high at rest readings going up as the ship entered an active state, running lights activating and systems quickly coming online as the powerful Engines readied, and soon it was clear the ship had much more power output then a ship it's size should have any right to have. With her ship now on full combat stand by D3 sent a message to the Security head and the Dockmaster "D3 Reporting ready for combat sortie and Emergency tug duties as per contract! also ready to join any repair or emergency response efforts once the ship docks" she sent the message as she moved supplies near her ships door for her to quickly grab if needed for first response, tool kit, first aid kit, and other emergency gear ready to go at a moments notice.

And so D3 waited for the call to action on the one of many different roles she could place should it dome to being needed, as she considered the amount of work needed on the station and contemplated on if they would need the services of a D3 for a longer term, If so she could contact or produce other D3's to help out here on a more permanent basis. But that was a concern for later after the current situation was dealt with.

Landing Ramp

Mercury continued to load cargo exactly as ordered. Something about the precise, mechanical nature with which they marched about made one think they'd keep on stacking exactly as instructed, even if an object was clearly mislabelled. Perhaps this was a form of proving her dedication, in some skewed way?

Holgi on the other hand was slightly deeper into the station when the sirens started ringing out, at first assuming they'd gotten in trouble by accidently wandering into some restricted area. But the distant kalaxons escalating and the random staff rushing about soon caused them to check their communication tab, and get to the root of what was happening back at the ship.

Based on previous experience of space battles, she expected the Sobek might immediately depart to get out of the situation- and thus the dragon immediately returned to her home vessel with fully half of the supplies she set out to obtain. A diagnostic scanner for androids and cyborgs. Remote nanomachines for fine-scale cybernetics work. Temporary bypass connectors, spare batteries, and lots of molecure tape.

People didn't get in her way much- On all fours, the horse-like sound of the massive galloping lizard was enough to make them dive into alcoves out of sheer confusion. "Very kindly.~" She alligator-trotted with pride, misidentifying this as respecting her very precious new doctor-rank.

Back up the landing ramp, a head count began, ensuring that none of the current crew had already been injured by accident in the sudden rush. There was a new human. Apparently D3 had been officially hired by the captain as well.

"You are hire? You are the humans, yes?" She asked the unfamiliar man, pulling out her digi-pad and stylus to take notes. With the overbearing strum of red emergency lighting, the long neck of the scraggly alien gave her the visage of a stop motion puppet whilst she looked him up and down, under the armpits and at the back of his head. "I am doctor Holgi, I take care.... Anything not normal you kill by, tell me now okay? You have name?"

A gruff whale-eyed glance at the diminutive D3 going about their duties... She'd have to find some way of communicating with them eventually...

Didn't seem like anybody else was unaccounted for.

Lenna was moving back to the cargo bay when the Klaxons went off and then her com pad beeped. Taking out the pad the ship's AI Sobek was informing the captain of what was going on outside with radar and vision "Shit I think that is the cargo ship we are meeting to meet. They are under attack! Ready yourself Sobek, sound general quarters! Page the crew, tell them we are going to combat readiness." The AI interrupts "Three more contacts have appeared and are saving the transport." Lenna looks at the screen "Oh ok, stand down combat readiness."

This had happened so fast that the Alarms within Sobek never went off, and no commands were announced. Lenna's and Dom's compads beeped and Lenna looked at the new message. Yep, that was the ship that they were waiting on, Lenna sent a message back asking if they could contact her when they could as she wanted to know if they knew why they had come under attack and by whom.

Lenna stepped up to Dom and growled " Hey Dom, that's the ship we were waiting on that was attacked. welp, now we know why they are late. Let's just hope that it is not related to our cargo. " Then seeing the one called D3 rush up and hold up a pad toward her as she takes a knee to read the message and returns a nod and thumbs up. Before standing back up and looking at the crew of the Sobek.

With a huff, Nikicon lands near the top of the cargo bay ramp and then rushes over to Lenna "What's going on!" Lenna catches Nikicon up as she gasps. "wow, I hope it's not the cargo we will be carrying. " Lenna shakes her head saying "No we are carrying mostly foodstuffs for the colony, and some personal items that are undeclair... holy shit." it dawns on Lenna as she blinks " um it might be, fuck." she hits the hull of the Sobek with a fist.

Lenna seeing Holgi on all four barrels toward the ship and nods, seeing more of the crew rush back she nods and then says " We are standing down, If you got the call for combat it is being withdrawn, stand by as it is the ship we have been awaiting As soon as the cargo is loaded we are going to leave for Sood Zadra. Nikicon, Stan get with the research team and see if the Sobek can handle a max hyperspace speed. We will need to get back quickly Run the drive hot if we need too. "

Nikicon and stan look at each other and then Nikicon nods "doubt it but we will see. Then she was gone once more hopping into the ship before getting in the hallway and was gone. Lenna sighed moving to pinch the bridge of her nose as she looked at the rest of the crew. "The station is going to be busy, stay out of the way, If you were not already doing something on the station getting supplies " Lenna looks over toward Holgi, "Get back to work if you're not doing something, help move the cargo in and get it ready to go!"

Seeing the crew start to move about getting back to work and Holgi's confused look Lenna moves over and then asks "Yes, but were you not on the station getting supplies for the ship?"

Meanwhile, Nikicon was rushing toward the engineering section after stopping to get another of the Suits that Lenna got for the ship since her last one was fried. This one also has the grounding wire installed that saved her from harm in her previous accident. Reaching the engineering section finding it empty she blinks "Odd where is the research team?" Looking about confused, she shrugs her shoulders and begins to move from console to console typing in commands and waking up monitor after monitor within the engineering section as she tries to get a read of the condition of the hyperspace drive. The results look promising except for a read of a possible failure that can cascade into complete failure with a 0.05% chance. Climbing back into the dark passageway as she moved to look at the parts of the hyperspace drive, making sure the hyperjets were not clogged, and all the circuits were working.

Getting back out Nikicon pulls up her com pad and sends a message to Lenna with her findings of the Hyperspace drive. Receiving the message Lenna nods and then sends a message back to get things ready for the trip back. If she needed to she could get Zeck to help.

Outside the Sobek in the station, there were many personnel running about some in fire fighting gear as the damaged transport slowly moved to pull in next to the Sobek. Most of the fires on the outside were stopped but there was still smoke pouring from sections of the transport, as with a few primary drives that were damaged and not working, The craft was not slowing down as fast as it should be and the call went out to D3 to aid with the docking of the damaged ship.

Once docked many crew rushed inside the transport with fire-fighting gear and other much-needed materials for repair. An hour later the ship started to unload the contents that were not damaged in the attack many large containers of mollusks were shoved over toward the Sobek, each was very large and labeled with "Fragile", "Keep from freezing", "Protect from vacuum", and "Live product, rush delivery". Most of the cargo unloaded and pushed toward the Sobek was these, there were a few smaller containers some marked "Fragile", others with "warning live ordnance"

"Not a day since I got hired and this happens...greaaat"

Leonard flinched when he noticed the huge alligator thing charging in his direction at the very last second, only for it to stop before it trampled him. "Doctor Holgi? Uuuh Leonard Mateo Cearalo" He winced, were the klaxons getting louder or his hearing more sensitive? It was hard to tell. "Does the captain know I'm here-" He swerved out of the way of some cargo coming on board. "-or should I wait until after we're done for a face-to-face?"

He noticed Dom, the one person that sat right above him in terms of position on this ship running around and decided to go do his job. "Nevermind, I'm leaving the paperwork for after!" Leonard said and ran in the opposite direction to help with the seemingly endless stream of cargo, both legit and probably less-than-legal, the tail of his coat flying in the wind as he ran.

Neviss had been in the middle of attempting a diagnostic of her Wayfarer shuttle when the alarms went off. She instinctively went to stand up to figure out what was happening, and smacked her snout on the bottom of the ship's hull as a result. A string of inaudible curses later, she'd uncoiled herself from below the vessel and looked around, listening to the announcement. "Oh, great. Just what I needed." She muttered to herself.

The eel took a glance around the hangar, noting that the crew of one ship in particular were picking up the pace given the circumstances of the alarm. She looked back to her ship, and sighed. She needed to be on Sood Zadra as soon as possible, and here her ship was not even flight capable. Not to mention she was a bit light on funds. Her gaze shifted back to the large ship, and with some reluctance, she gathered a bag of her most important gear from her vessel before making her way to the larger ship as quickly as possible.

Neviss had made her way to the Sobek's landing ramp, trying to wave down any of the ship's crew that were in the process of loading cargo. "Hey, any of you know where your captain is? I need to get to Sood Zadra as soon as I can, and my ship is as good as scrap right now. Plus, y'know, I could use a little extra spending money if you lot need more hands." She shouted, hoping to get someone's attention at least.

"LENNA! LENNA!" The imperious, stridently insistent voice of none other than Baroness Soon Bardoon crackle-boomed out over all of the Sobek's comms, as well as Lenna's personal communicator on a priority override channel that was supposed to be for emergency use.

"Where are my nonapods? I only have three SSCC-Medium of them left! What will I do if I am trapped on this snowball without even the most basic and simple comforts I allow myself?" Her voice became somewhat of a whine as she droned on and on over the comms.

"Are you there? LENNA? Pick Up!"

D3 sat there making sure her ship was ready at a moments notice, and as she sat there doing a double check the Dockmaster showed up on her vid screen "D3 We need you out there the ship can't slow down properly, Tug Activities requested.. bring them in safe" D3 gave a little Salutes she got the ship going typing out rapidly with one hand and sending a message to the Dockmaster and the personnel around that she was heading out.

"This is D3 heading out for emergency Tug Activities, notice to all friendly Vessels, This ship is a Tug on mission from Detritus Station, stay clear of flight path and tug path to dock yard, Docking crews remain on ready" with the message sent and her ship already halfway out the docks, D3 set her course and flew the overpowered Tug to the distressed ship. the smaller and faster ship easily able to close the distance rapidly to take up it's tug Duties and she started lining up with it.

"Incoming ship this is D3 Emergency Tug, I am sending notice that I am to help decelerate and guide your ship into a proper and safe docking, do not be alarmed" the message sent as she was matching speed and setting the magnetic clamps, adhering her ship to the larger ships hull, and she hit a slowly growing reverse burn to slow the massive Cargo ship down.

Now one would assume that with the difference in sizes of the ships in question that this maneuver wouldn't work, however the small Wayfinder shuttle had a massive powerplant and engines that while they didn't match the size of the Cargo ship, they seemed to have been optimized for power and it was defiantly putting out enough building thrust to slow the massive cargo ship down. without the alterations made to the ship it likely wouldn't have been able to preform such a feat.

With the Wayfinder attached to the larger vessel it started to slow, then alter course and pitch to get it to a proper Docking Orientation. Slowly the ship came into the docking bay far enough away from other ships that the Tug could detach easily later, and not cause issues with it's custom engine, after guiding the ship in and making sure it was secured D3 detached her ship and flew back to her original docking position setting her ship back to a resting state before she started to fill out an incident report while scooting out onto the docking bay floor once more, as she wasn't requested for firefighting or maintenance duties, likely because she still had to make room for the now off boarding supplies from the cargo ship as the other teams did their work.

Mileena eventually made her way back onto the ISS Sobek after lingering for a while near Detritus Station’s observation deck. The tension in the air had eased somewhat, and from the chatter she overheard, it seemed the station’s personnel were handling the situation. Still, she couldn’t shake a lingering unease. “Foodstuffs for the colony and some undeclared personal items,” she murmured, her sharp hearing catching Nikicon and Lenna’s convorsation. “Yeah, I’ve got a feeling I know why that ship was attacked. Smugglers, maybe. Or someone trying to get rid of evidence.” Her voice was low, more to herself than anyone else. “I just hope this doesn’t bring trouble to us.”

Instinctively, her hands moved to pat her thighs, where her concealed cybernetic implants rested beneath her fur—a pair of Concealed Assault Turrets that could deploy in an instant. The thought of using them brought her some comfort. “If it does, though,” she said softly, a faint smirk curling her lips, “I think I can handle any boarders that come our way.”

As she stepped into the dimly lit corridor of the Sobek, her reflection in a polished panel caught her attention. The soft fur of her orange and white coat, her expressive eyes, and the natural way she carried herself—all of it concealed the truth of what she was. It had been some time since her crewmates learned she was a cyborg, but the revelation had been surprising even to her closest friends. She had always taken care to blend in, to avoid being judged or treated differently.

Most of the crew only knew about her Plasma Claws, the sleek retractable weapons she’d displayed during introduction. But the turrets, as well as a few other enhancements, were secrets she kept close. It wasn’t a matter of distrust; it was simply the way she preferred it. There was power in being underestimated.

Still, as she moved through the Sobek’s corridors, she couldn’t help but think of how that power came at a cost. The cybernetic augmentations had made her stronger, faster, and deadlier—but they also set her apart in ways that weren’t always easy to navigate. In a galaxy full of diversity, even the anthro races, she sometimes felt more machine than living being. Shaking off the thought, Mileena focused on her surroundings, ears swiveling at the faint hum of the Sobek’s systems. Whatever trouble might come their way, she felt ready. “captain, ma’am, if I am not needed for any repairs, may I go do some maintenance on the Sky Fox?’ she asked as she stopped by Nikicon and Lenna referring to her ship.

Lenna sighed as she moved to look at the damaged ship pulling in next to where the Sobek was parked. The station dockmaster was able to get a moment to talk to Lenna as her comm pad beeped with his communication. Seeing the dockmaster appear on the screen, she spoke, "Hello there, and thank you for getting back to me when I know you have your hands full." Lenna spun around a little until the damaged freighter was visible in the background, then turned back to where her ship was situated as she walked around the cargo that was being shoved toward her ship.

"Yes, yes, we are very busy. I have received word that you might be interested in the one called D3?" Lenna nodded and then said, "Yes, they have offered their services to me while we were awaiting, and I think she would be a great help for my little... well, old ship! They did inform me that I would need to speak to you about hiring her." The dockmaster frowned and then said, "I was afraid that was going to be the topic of this call. But alas, she is free to go if they wish to; I'll notify them that you have spoken to me and that you're seeking their employment. Thank you very much!" Lenna smiled and bowed her head to him. The call ended, and Lenna placed the pad into its holder on her side, walking among the cargo, making sure nothing that was shoved over was too damaged, and inspecting anything that was.

Just then, the comm from Soon suddenly came over the ship, accompanied by Lenna's compad, making her jump. "Oh crap!" she exclaimed, quickly lifting the compad to show the background of the Quallox Vaibal transport, still smoking and damaged. "Yes, yes, we are aware, Governess. As you can see from behind me, the transport bringing your shipment was attacked. From what we have gathered, we have approximately 75% of the cargo and nearly 80% of your Nonapods. I did send a message back to Sood Zadra once we arrived here to let you know there was a delay. I'm sure one of your subordinates will be there to inform you."

"We plan to run the drive hot to get back home as fast as possible. Nikicon and the other engineers are doing the adjustments as I speak." Hearing someone ask for the captain, Lenna lifted her hand and said, "Heyo, I am over here!" She looked back at the comm pad for Soon's response to the news she had just received while the one asking for the captain walked—no, slithered—over.

"No, no! That wire goes there, and these wires go there!" Zeck said to Nikicon as they worked on the hyperdrive to increase the power back to full. Nikicon had been running the drive at three-quarters power as a safety measure. Now, with the power limits removed, Nikicon and Zeck were returning the powerful hyperdrive back to its full capacity.

ZAP! "AHHHH! Ouch, fuck! I'm okay!" Nikicon said softly as Zeck looked down at the spot where the Snowshoe hare was. "You okay?" the hare nodded and replied, "Yes, yes, I hit bare metal and it grounded for a moment. It's good; we are all good. How are you?" Zeck shook her head and handed a device to Nikicon. "Okay, now this goes into the space that the other one was in, and that should do it. The drive should be back to its full operational power. Now, I hope we don’t have another burnout."

Nikicon nodded from her position and said, "Me too, but with a 0.05% chance, I think we are still good."

"That is still a 1 in 20 chance, Nikicon," Zeck replied. A few grunts came from the machine as Nikicon tightened down the device and then moved out from underneath it. She looked over at Zeck, the red-skinned alien, and then said, "The last time we had the burnout, we didn't have the drive and the rest of the ship on separate circuits like we do now. So if it happens, the results won't be the same."

Standing up and moving to a nearby console, Nikicon tapped in a series of commands and then focused on the text moving across the screen. She then stepped over to the speaker and was able to make an announcement when the voice of Soon suddenly came through: "GHA!!!! Damn it!!!!"

Nikicon growled, looking at the image of the Kuvexian as she whined to Lenna about her Nonapods. "Gah, damn it! That is not a good reason to use the emergency override!" Nikicon growled angrily as she made sure Lenna started to talk to her on her comm pad before overriding the override and deactivating it on the ship. After that, she opened the speakers.

"Ahem, hyperdrive test will be underway in 30 seconds. There may be smoke, vibrations, and in the worst case, the ship could blow up or jump to hyperspace inside the cargo bay, taking part of the station with it. Best case: nothing happens, and the test passes." Closing the speakers, she moved to the monitor and said, "Hold onto your butts," and hit the test button.

Mileena on her journey in the ISS Sobek, made her way to the Engineering Section of the ship thinking she could be of help there. But what she heard immediately on her arrival, concerned her greatly as her sensitive hears heard the loud(to her) zap and Nikicon’s voice. “Nikicon!” she shouted as she hurried in, and heard Nikicon said she was ok. “Great Tank Woman! be careful! seriously!” Mileena said with a bit of her own unique curse. She watched the two work before she sighed “may I be of help here too?’ she asked them as she moved into position. Cyborg Fox Anthro looked over to Nikicon, her eyes literally checking her out, but mostly to make absolutely sure she was alright. Then Mileena had to blink her eyes when she saw text moving on the screen of a near by consol and then a face of a Kuvexian she recognized as Soon. She got to work, assisting in the two what ever they needed her, before she grabbed hold of something secure as nikicon made her announcement.”holding something more secure than my butt.”

"...Oh." There was an awkward, silent delay. "Well, hurry up and make it one hundred percent. It's dreadful down here." There was another delay "And that's Baroness." Just as abruptly as she'd called, Soon Bardoon cut the call, once again freeing the emergency channel for actual emergencies.

Station Interior -> Back to Sobek

The station's corridors were still silent and empty, shoekeepers having universally shuttered due to the ongoing drama. So that left the nurse dragon Holgi cloding heavily around the halls like some kind of marauding space invader, searching out the goods... She was going to pay for them, but would random security officers know that!? This could get problematic...

Whilst Mileena was focusing on repairing various spacecraft components, the long dosey amphibian was still diligently pondering the task of maintaining most Mileena components. Most of the ships she'd served on had been deathtraps, so the bizzare and faulty manfunctions of the engine were nothing new- But being able to fix the dire results on the crew was a more detailed and complex problem than she figured captain Leena realized.

What if they were in deep space, with a big hole in the side of the ship, when one of the new aliens needed a highly specific nutrient paste to clear a scale-burn? What if they simply didn't have a voidsuit that fit around that new slithery eel-girl's head and tail shape? What if that new human Leonard had bad electromagnetic sheilding in some hidden cyborgy component, and the next time he stood next to the reactor, it was like a land mine going off inside his chest?

These were not situations for an underqualified trash lizard from the boonies, on a shoestring budget to boot, should be put in the situation of worrying about!

A small pinging sound from their comunicator, and Holgi fumbled with the tiny thing in their huge webbed claw-beans. Frustration turned into a little flourish of warmth, finding a sizable deposit of Sood Zadra-bucks deposited into her account. A timely gift from Kotema.

Holgi made a loving purr, embracing the tiny metal tab to their chest, feeling the bundled nerves of her heavy guts flutter. And desicrated the narrow corridor with a highly toxic fish-fart just a little.

Returning to the corridor with an entire cart full of supplies this time, there was enough immitation yarvex, sealing agent, gas regulator components and moisture membranes to make custom space suits for just about anybody. The cybernetics maintenance toolkit she snagged was at least Nepleslian grade, too.

Her knees kinda hurt, but today wasn't too bad.

D3 was busy moving cargo around to accommodate the arrival of the damaged ship, both for its own cargo and to make room for emergency teams and repair equipment to get access tot he ship easier, she also placed out pylons to help deviate foot traffic and the emergency responders, before finalizing the report and sending it to the dockmaster along with the new position of the cargo she had moved.

It was after the report was sent that a communication came through on her PDA and she hit accept as it was the Dockmaster "D3 as your contract states you were on temporary hire to the station till someone else accepted your contract, I know this posting was always temporary so thank you for your hard work, as requested your pay will now be calculated on the work you had done while here, and sent to you once that is done"

D3 gave a little salute and replied via Text "Thank you sir for the time working here, I do understand that the people of the station had worked to ensure I would stay longer, I was glad to be of help!"

The dockmaster smirked "HA! You knew? the guys in engineering have to pay out now they thought you were clueless on that.. sorry about that we just tend to be short staffed, so thanks for sticking through even with that" the Dockmaster had actually be working in concert with others on the station to ensure people were unable to or persuaded against hiring D3 away from the station, she was a hard worker after all and a few got used to seeing her around in the months she had been there. the dockmaster however had been to busy to send someone down to intervene with the Sobek crew and D3 meeting before they could try to prevent the offer from happening.

"Don't worry, if you want I can send word to a few others I know to come and lend a hand, I know many that would like to help out in a place like this!" D3 returned and she gave a thumbs up.

"Why didn't you say so sooner? Sure We will take them in, if they work even half as hard as you they will be welcome here, but do me a favor, try to take a bit more breaks on the new ship eh? honestly you were working nearly every shift since you came here, that can't be good for a young girl. Anyway... Tregen out take care D3" he said as D3 gave another salute and the communication ended.

With that D3 scooted back towards the Sobek, but as she did she noticed a certain Holgi walking by with a lot of things to carry and so she walked over and typed on her pad, a text to voice program speaking for her saying "Can I help?" she didn't use the text to speech much simply because it could only say a few phrases in trade, text was a lot better. But with her message relayed she held out her arms in an effort to help her carry everything.

"You've got patience and experience on your side but can you stomach the ways of making real money?"

It wasn't just his imagination, he knew it damn well. Leonard knew for a fact that the captain almost had a massive slip in front of the whole cargo bay, almost announcing to everyone present that the Sobek was carrying undeclared goods, although how illegal they were on their own remained to be seen. "Undeclared cargo...I didn't know you were running that kind of ship, captain"

He had stopped right next to Lenna, his gaze getting a dangerous glint only trained eyes could spot. The prospects for a new enterprise never failed to make him giddy, risk be damned. Anyone aware of his past would know exactly why, not that it took much imagination for those not in the know to understand. "Quite smart if you ask me, I'll keep that in mind..." Leonard left with a barely visible smirk, almost as quickly as he had appeared beside her.
