[ISC Enkidu Interlude] Floating Debris Ragtime

Re: [Interlude] Floating Debris Ragtime

Helen didn't readily answer right away, probably because she couldn't really answer. She ran about frankly trying to pull up the little information she read up on up to now, at least until she ran what she thought was the engineering panel.

"<Warning, the Fold Drive has been damaged, breach emanate? This sounds bad...>" Helen said to herself in her language before turning to her friend to explain. "Fowd Dwive Beached," she attempted to translate while punctuating with her arms mimicking an explosion, with a verbal sound effect to back it up.

Something was going to blow up.

Poor Anya stared blankly at the smaller girl before her eyes widened. "Fold Drive Breach?" she translated hesitantly before looking at the console. "Ah...that's bad. Very bad." she mumbled with a frown. Her processing was just starting to get better too with the help of that sugar earlier.

"Is there any way we can jettison...um...throw the Drive out?" she asked, hopeful she was getting through to the girl.

Re: [Interlude] Floating Debris Ragtime

"Mawbe..." she replied looking around, then she remembered she dropped it someplace and began running around the bridge looking for something. "<Ah here it is!>" she proclaimed lifting up a data pad. Helen activated the holographic and quickly headed to the table of contents where her head spun a little due to the large block of text that one had to at least skim through before flying a ship in a straight line.

In the meantime the blinking activated again warning of the threat that soon approached them...

At least the alarm didn't go off again.

Re: [Interlude] Floating Debris Ragtime

While Anya couldn't read much of this language, some words seemed similar to Nepleslian (strange as it was). The word "Warnung" that was blinking on the console looked suspiciously close to Warning, especially with a countdown of sorts close by it.

"Helen," Anya said with a worried tone in her voice. "If you are going to do something, now would be the time." the Android warned as she pointed at the countdown. It seemed to be a five minutes and counting down.

Re: [Interlude] Floating Debris Ragtime

Helen scrolled down to what she thought she needed and skimmed down while walking toward the panel with the blinking lights. She began to press buttons that she think would lead to the release mechanism. She knew when she had it when she accidently ejected the Bubble Shield generator.

"Ah, nwt tat one," she mumbled when she continued to push buttons, next ejecting the Solar batteries. Time was running out, it was only a few seconds left when she decided to eject things left and right until finally the light stopped and the Fold Drive evacuated the ship.

"Eh... howld untu something!" Helen yelled out and dived for a chair to hold onto.

Re: [Interlude] Floating Debris Ragtime

Anya was flabbergasted as the small Alien girl decided to start pressing buttons almost at random.

Helen said:
"Ah, nwt tat one."

"Wait, what do you mean not that one," the Android exclaimed as she felt multiple thumps across the deck plates. Great, her first half hour of being active again and she was already redeveloping her personality matrix. And starting with the emotions of fear and panic was not how she had planned on doing it.

Poor Anya tried to reach a chair in time, but the jettisoning had sped up the reaction. The entire view screen of the transport lit up as multiple nuclear explosions went off behind them. It was good that shockwaves couldn't form in space, but one of the explosions had expanded to strike the rear section of the transport. The Android was thrown forward and into the front console, damaging the pilot's controls with the impact.

It was all over in an instant. Both of them were alive, but what was the results of this horrible accident?
