Seeking You
I am a rouge body,
drifting through the cold emptiness of space;
seeking my place in the stars.
I drift past you, feeling your gravity pull me.
I see you there,
a brilliant blue shining star warm and inviting;
a single planet in your orbit.
I drift past you, feeling your gravity pull me.
I need you,
lost in the brilliance of your light;
my gravity interacts with yours.
I drift towards you, feeling our gravities pull us.
I feel it deep,
love flowing though the creators of my body;
I seek a place within your influence.
I drift around you, feeling our gravities sustain me.
I watch you,
sweeping around you only to be surprised;
a companion star lurks on your other side.
I drift away, feeling its gravity throw me.
I look back at you,
missing your warm and compassionate light;
knowing I can never have you.
I drift away, still thinking your gravity pulls me.
I come back to you,
becoming a watcher that passes you by;
longing for you still despite it all.
I drift just near enough, feeling your gravity pull me.
