Distinguishing Features: A silver chain that runs between her two pierced ears along the back of her hair made of very small, smooth links of chains so as not to get caught, various other piercing.
Personality: Keeps to herself a lot but is a good listener. She always tries to improve the situations of those around her. She tends to view war as a necessary evil but believes that the energies put into conflict could be put to better use. Karin does have a leftest view of things but understands the necessity of order in troubled times.

Idle Speculations:
To understand where the whole of life must go to first requires an understanding of the individual and what they need. In modern times survival is no longer a fight against the elements. A nations economy should be able to provide life to all citizens. Once life can be assured focus can be turned to improving the quality of life for all citizens, this is achieved through prosperity, material wealth, power, and a tolerant and caring attitude between all members in a society.
Current times have seen witness to many events that would seem contrary to the improvement of life. Wars, Internal strife, corruption, and even the parasitic space faring race of the SMX. For a totalitarian empire to survive it must have something to conquer, the war and the material wealth it brings acts to control the populous in general, forcing them to surrender to a overpowering leader. The society becomes dependent on the suffering of others for its own existence. The most logical solution is to remove this, requiring the total destruction of the armed forces of Yamatai, the SMX, and all other space faring races as well as the weapons they possess.
A warrior culture can not survive without the warrior thus another solution must present itself. Like a cancer militaristic societies have spread through this universe wishing to dominate one another in an endless cycle of bloodshed. Similar to at cancer it can not survive without a host body, something to spread to and control. Instead of cutting out the cancer and perhaps killing the body a method must be made to contain the pathogen. If the reach for the stars were reversed the societies of all planets would be forced to become self sufficient, to better themselves instead of conquering others.
To scar the universe in such a way is a frightening concept but one that is of value to all who inhabit it. Even if it were only for a few years parasitic races would be forced into death of hibernation, militaries would have no use in defending planets and so the societies of each world, being free from any dominion would finally be able to better themselves
FTL travel has given cancers the ability to spread from world to world, would its destruction mean a final cure?
