Physical Characteristics

Height: 6'2
Weight: 172 lbs

Hair Colour and Style: Brown, cut fairly short. Fur is striped black and brown.

Distinguishing Features: He's also got a serious thing for cats. To him, they are the ultimate ideal of the hunter. So, he has emulated that ideal, with everything from his cybernetic claws, digitigrade cyberlegs and a cybernetic tail, to plastic surgery to give him neko ears, a muzzle, and fur.

Psychological Characteristics

Personality:
Katklaw is, in a word, psychopathic. He cares only for himself, and is happy to use and abuse other people to get what he wants. He's not stupid, though; he knows that you get more flies with honey than vinegar. On the surface, he's seems quite a charming person. But, if he thinks he'd get away with it, and you aren't of any use to him, he'd happily torture you to death just for the fun of it. If he was in the mood to do so, anyway. If anyone were to call him on his attitude to other people, he'd spin a tale about how he was twisted by the surroundings of his youth. How much of that would be true, even he doesn't know. He's also got a serious thing for cats. To him, they are the ultimate ideal of the hunter.

Likes: Cats, hurting people, chasing people.
Dislikes: Pretensious sods, petty beaurocrats.
Goals: Survive and enjoy life.

History

Katklaw was engineered as a special forces soldier for the Nepleslian Army, and excelled in that position. After he finished his mandatory eight years of servitude, he left, and began to sell his skills to the highest bidder, whether it was a corp who wanted a particular item stolen from their competitors, or bail bondsman who had criminals who jumped their bail to track down. After a while, he had saved up enough to purchase a Geshrinari Shipyards Vampire-Class Patrol Craft, which he named the Hawk's Talon. He has since set out to find his destiny amongst the stars.

Skills

Fighting: Being a genetically engineered warrior, he is quite adept with many forms of combat, and is well trained with all the infantry weapons used by the main powers (after all, you never know if you'll be stuck behind enemy lines and forced to use their weapons once you run out of ammo). Additionally, he is highly skilled at using the retractible cybernetic claws installed into his fingers and toes to inflict serious damage on an enemy.

Physical: Katklaw was a special forces soldier, and a genetically and cybernetically enhanced one at that. Running for days with barely any rest, swimming for miles, and jumping at least three times his own height are all well within his abilities. Additionally, his cybernetic tail greatly improves his balance, and the hydraulics in his legs that allow him to jump so high also allow him to fall from several stories without injury, as long as he lands on his feet.

Rogue: He was trained in a number of infiltration techniques, and is well-versed in modern security and how to avoid it. Additionally, his recent work has allowed him to build up a decent contact network amongst the criminal underworld. Finally, his lack of concern about what other people think of him allows him to make himself appear much more charming and personable than he is.

Starship Operations: Katklaw was trained in a number of basic ship-skills, since you never know if they might be neccessary to accomplish a mission, or if you might need to commandeer an enemy vessel to escape their planet. Thanks to his cybernetic hook-ups, he's quite good at it, too.

Survival and Military: He was a special forces soldier. As such, he is an expert in camoflage, wilderness survival, and evading enemies in such a setting. Additionally, his recent experience as a bounty hunter has honed the tracking skills he was tought then to even higher levels.

Technology Operation: He was well trained in the use of his high-tech gear, although he is well-capable of functioning without it. Over the recent times, he has acquired a variety of new gear, more suitable to his current tasks. Additionally, his infiltration training included the knowledge of how to defeat computer security and sensors.

Maintanence and Repair: Katklaw was well-trained in the maintenance of his own gear, and that of the gear he was trained to use. Additionally, he has read the entire mainenance guide to the Vampire-Class Patrol Craft, and has it stored on cybernetic memory.

Pretty sure thats to much stuff to start with, but don't quote me.

You are missing description and age stuff... Otherwise with my quick skim tis pretty good.

Why? He's probably bought it on a used and on a loan, anyway. The whole idea there is similar to Slave 1: a small, relatively well armed ship capable of being operated by one person, but big enough to carry his "cargo" with him, and live in for extended periods of time. So, I was looking through the various ships in the list (mostly around things like Escorts and Frigates), and stumbled across the description of the Vampire, which was perfect (especially with the ion cannons and interdictor feild- good at stopping the target from running away, and disabling their ship without destroying it, to enable boarding and capture). If you know of any ships more suitable for such a role, feel free to point them out.

Also, editted original post with that template.

Actually, independant characters can own ships at any forum rank but ALL new characters start with 3000KS worth of cash or items, and the Vampire costs more than that so he cant start with it. The ship should be aquired through roleplay.

One could sort of say the same things about his "elite" skills.

The Neplesians do a lot of stuff with cloning, right? He was fast-grown. The first 8 years were spent in the military, and now he's drifting.

LOL

So, let me get this straight, a sweet-talking 12-year-old ex-specops cybermutant mercenary psychopath with a personal warship?

I'm particulary baffled at the fact that he is a human who was doing military operations at the age of four. For reference, here's a four-year-old (with dad):

He's in his twenties, physically.

Wes: Don't the Neplesians accellerate the growth of their clones? It's the impression I got from this paragraph:
A huge percentage of Nepleslians are clones - made expressly to work for their creator for the 8 year slave period. Most clones are made by large corporations, crime syndicates, and of course, Nepleslia's two militaries - the Greens and the Reds. The vast majority of these clones are male - Nepleslians like male soldiers and all-male units. They tend to keep the girls off the front lines and in the armored bases instead.

He's not really a sweet talker, either: he just seems that way at first glance. That's actually one of the diagnostic criteria for Antisocial Personality Disorder, often called psychopathy in lay terms. Similarly, I didn't really see him as flying a Warship, any more than Slave 1 was a warship. If there are any vessels more suitable to the role, feel free to point them out.

Okay, that makes more sense now.

Character approved.

Okey, dokey. Here's a picture of him, by the way. I'm not the artist, but I do have the rights to it. Yes, from 2005: Katklaw is an old Shadowrun character of mine, modified for the setting.

Mmm, Shadowrun goodness :D

Should it be noted somewhere that he's a mutant?
Read his bio, Jake.
