Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

Hanadi lowered the pistol sorely wishing to slap her forehead. Going from trying to wound the man to killing him seemed an easier task then naught. Nothing could be done now but to move on before anything else happened.

"If your apprentice is wanting to patch herself up then there is a medical kit in my sandcrawler." offering while silently swearing an oath at more xenos being discovered. She'd be lucky to cram the ones from before into the vehicle. And now with the prospect of more she'd very likely have to find a trailer.

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

Najat winced, her free hand hording her wounded arm. The other went back around Nova's waist, and she eyed the freespacer with worry above the pain in her eyes.

"...are you injured?" she murmured.

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

Mikael was in a state of stunned disbelief. The alien he had tackled was dead, now. The other Nepleslian he had only just met was dead, too. The situation made it increasingly likely he'd die soon enough as well.

He wanted to move, to act, to do something. But Mikael couldn't bring himself to even raise a finger. First, he had lost his parents. Then, he met an odd Yamataian man who had punched him -- but weren't they friends? The man had given him a suite to use until the ship docked and let Mikael off. Then the disastrous party, where he had only just escaped alive. Then he woke up here. The Nepleslian man had given Mikael his name. What was it?

Jay. John. George. Bill? No -- Bill wasn't even close.

Tears welled up in his eyes. What was his goddamn name?!

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

"She will have to shoulder that pain until we get to the hospital. They should have adequate medical supplies there." said Na'Subir, observing what was happening with not even a twitch in his eye. He had taken an observing viewpoint of the situation and used that opportunity to carefully grade Najat's performance. "At any rate, I think we should be more concerned about the outlander being crushed under the corpse over there." said Na'Subir, stepping forth, but not far, awaiting for Najat to take further control of the situation, if she would. If not Najat, then Hanadi, and if not either of them, then he would have to take the reins from then on.

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

Glasses askew, Nova just looked slack jawed at the dead man fall. Shots had been fired, shots that had come dangerously close to her. Literally within inches! It was enough to almost drive her mad with fright but then... it was over. Just like that. Over. One pull of a trigger and a life had been taken right before her eyes. It took Najat's speaking to snap her out of this realization of how close to death she'd come and set her off to jibbering on in her own language for what seemed a minute before calming herself.

She just nodded her head slowly pointing to the guardwoman's injury.

---------------

Is every xeno out of their minds? Hanadi thought afterward. One had wielded a antiquated shotgun, threatening an entire population of Sund Wakir. Another had thought a tiny knife would ward her off. And now one had tackled a deadman.

"Yeah," begrudgingly she agreed with Na'Subir. Hanadi set Geruud down on his own two feet. "I'll go dig him out." silently cursing her familiarity with the dead language. Touch the past her Ivuori had said. Embrace our heritage. She'd preached. Don't let the language die she had droned. Sucking her teeth the woman looked down upon her charge.

"Go see to your Color-sera and the bald guard lady. I have to go dig this new outlander out." patting the boy on the back. "She may enjoy seeing another friendly face."

If she'd been squeamish around violence as Nova seemed to be, she would enjoy some company as well. Slipping a side-long glance their way while walking past.

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

Geruud nodded vehemently, and hustled forth unafraid, his robes and turban flailing with every bouncing step. He waved his arms up in the air as he approached. It seemed he had been holding in his excitement the entire time he had been in Hanadi's attendance.

"Color-Sera! Color-Sera!" yelled Geruud in his charge, wrapping his arms around Nova's legs, he looked up at her, his yellow eyes beaming with half-excitement, half-concern, "Are you okay?"

----

"So." started Asher, rubbing Peace's head as he looked to everyone else in the room. The Yamataian's breathing had eased in the last few minutes, and he seemed to show a minute amount of improvement in his physical condition. "What tha' fuck are we gunna' do now? I pulled y'asses off tha' Sultan, so I done my part, someone else needs t'figga' somethin' out."

As Asher demanded a solution, Iyad went down to his aide to shake her back to reality, as she still was shocked from the amount of blood covering the floor.

"Hasheeda, let's get this mess cleaned up..." ushered the Ivuori as he helped the woman to her feet.

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

Najat advanced without a word, her hand still covering her wounded arm. She placed her foot on the side of the man she had felled and rolled it off the still-living man it had fallen on top of. She bent slightly.

"Are you injured?"

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

As Najat strode forth after the taller Curdatl, Nova felt someone's arms around her legs. Though the characteristic 'Color-Sera' automatically let her know who it was as she slipped from the Guardwoman's grasp. The 'Space looked down at the little boy, at his excitement, and seemingly concerned visage. Really, who couldn't help but smile at that cute little face?

Her hair bobbed slightly as she nodded to him.

"Yes, yes, I fine, I fine." her broken Saalsari while having a strong accent was intelligible enough.

~~~~~~~
By the time Najat had spoke, Hanadi had already squatted down beside the fallen man and was in the process of giving him a cursory inspection.
"My bald friend here wants to know if you're alright, offworlder." she stated in accented Trade.
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
A low gurgling purr escaped Peace as asher pet his head, the Lraadyr's eyes closing as he simply enjoyed the feeling and attention he was getting. Harmony on the other hand simply stood back from Osker and watched him for a moment before turning back to Asher.
"That much should be obvious, we need to get out of this town, and then find a way to a space port or something, some way we can get off this planet and back to our own homes..."
Harmony began to pace a little, finally stopping to think about her family, her mother and father and all her youner siblings. She wondered silently to herself if the enws of the ships destruction had reach the Matriarchy yet or not. She knew her parents would take it bad, they would blame themselves somehow...
"We need to get moving. We already caused this place enough problems, and I don't want more people coming after us. You good enough to move?" Harmony asked asher as she peered at him and thought for a moment if he wasn't able to move about possible solutions.
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
Mikael hadn't really heard the first Alien's words, and the second Alien's question took a moment to register with him.
"Yes," He said numbly. Now that the adrenaline rush was gone, Mikael felt weak and shaken. "Who are you people?"
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
Hanadi held out a hand to the young Mikhael to assist in helping him to his feet.
"I'll give you the long version," she began while pointing with her other hand to her horns. "Aliens, and you and likely your... 'friends' crashed on our world in your strange ship. You caused a stir of which the rabble of this town took advantage of and we had to kindly encourage them to leave you alone." pointing to the dead bandit afterward.
A short pause and she continued, "So, who and what are you exactly?"
OOC Note: Doing Trade in bold so as not to confuse.
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
"My name is Mikael Battle. I'm a Nepleslian." He said, sitting up.
His eyes scanned the aliens and the wreckage, neatly avoiding the corpses. "Where am I?"
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
'The hell is a Nepleslian? Must be their word for Colonial' she thought while nodding along to this.
"Well," Hanadi stood straight, spreading her arms wide. "You're in the Nuocr Expanse, a huge desert. In a small desert town called Laruslan. As for the planet... " pursing her lips she paused. "I believe that should be withheld for the time being until we can be sure of your intentions, and our government's stance on your knowing the name." after all, if they knew the name they could find the planet, the system and catastrophe could transpire. Who was she to start that if it happened? Best leave it to the politicians.
"He seems fine." calling back to Na'Subir. "Though he wanted to know where he is. I told him he was in the Expanse and Laruslan. You government and religious types get to decide if he should know the planet name and system."
OOC: Trade is in bold. Saalsari is normal.
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
"We will keep that from him for the time being." said Na'Subir, stepping forth to looking over Mikael, the gray-eyed Iroma already starting to sweat from the oppressive heat. He took a deep breath, before he looked off towards the center of the settlement, "Ask him if he is able to walk, or if he needs assistance, so we can take him with us to the hospital."
----
"I am glad!" beamed the young boy, loosening his grip from her leg. "Color-sera has nothing to worry about from now on! Because we have Temple Guard now, and me." The boy threw his arms into the air for a powerful looking flex. "I am the strongest! Stronger than a herdtitan! And I will protect you, Color-sera!"
----
"Seems your son has taken an attachment to one of the outlanders." remarked Na'Subir to Hanadi.
----
"Move? Yes, you all can move on out." Iyad mentioned, taking the attention of the situation off of Asher, "But, your wounded friend needs to stay here. He will not survive exposure out in the expanse, nor would I recommend any further rowdiness.
"What? A'course I can move! I--" Asher sat up quickly, before giving a heavy wheeze and grasping his chest, "A-... Ah... Ouch ouch ouch... Damn it... Okay... maybe tha' docta's gotta point."
"Yes, and you will be hard pressed to find any spaceport near by, or any caravan trusting enough to ride you to another settlement." said Iyad, sitting on the bed. "I suggest seeking out Hanadi. I hear she is often willing to do any sort of respectable work for a price."
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
"Wait...waitwaitwait," Oskar finally spoke after his period of brooding. "What do you mean we'd be hard pressed to find a spaceport nearby!? Shouldn't there be a space port in every major metropolis?" the Abwehran asked as he stood up and looked at everyone with wide eyes.
"And the caravans...is everyone on this rock a xenophobe!?"
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
"Meh... trop... oh less? I... am not sure what that word means, but if you were actually able to get to a major city, you would find a space port. However, Laruslan is not even a village." explained Iyad, trying to expertly hide his confusion at the word 'metropolis', as to keep a professional atmosphere. "As for caravans, they are naturally cautious about violent strangers such as yourself."
Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos
Nova merely blinked at the boy's exuberance before giving him a small hug in response. The day's events had left her a little rattled, if not soft spoken for the time being.
~~~~

Hanadi nodded in response to Na'Subir's question, relaying it to Mikael.

"My... friend here wants to know if you can walk, or if you need help." fumbling through the words at first before picking up the pace. "Other aliens," pointing to him. "Like you are in the hospital getting treatment for Expanse exposure and for injuries from your crash. So you may need to as well."

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

"I suppose I don't have much choice. Lead away." Mikael said.

He hoped his trust in the stranger wasn't misplaced -- his mind ran through several gruesome scenarios. He stood on his own, brushed the dirt off of himself and happily noted the lack of blood on his clothing.

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

"He's good." Hanadi said in response to Na'Subir while ushering the young man towards the hospital. She took a moment to pause in thought. With a little shake of the head the thought was dispelled.

"May want to be ready for hostilities. That short one with the beard was fiery little shit." annoyance colored her tone and language. "I just hope he hasn't tried to shoot the doctor or done anything stupid."

Re: [Chapter One] The Descent Into Chaos

"We may have to... dispose of him if he becomes a threat to the rest of the outlanders." said Na'Subir, wiping his unmoving brow. The Temple Guard looked towards the hospital, "Now let's get moving, we need to gather the rest and consolidate the situation" He pointed at Geruud, "Little Istislah, you are familiar with the Outlander, guide her to the hospital."

----

Geruud bounced up and down excitedly, before grabbing Nova's hand and pulling her after him towards the hospital, "C'mon Color-Sera!"

----

After a short, uneventful trudge to the doors of the hospital, the group would enter to find four dead bodies on the floor. Luckily, they all belonged to strangers, the ones still alive were discussing casually amongst the violent scene. Na'Subir looked around the room, spying Harmony, Oskar, Asher, and Sayoko for the edges of his vision.

"Ey! Iss' that bitch from tha' shuttle!" pointed Asher to Hanadi when she entered, the finger shaking slightly due to the pain of his injuries and lack of energy within him.

Na'Subir gave Asher a cursory glance, recognizing the fiery little shit. "Istislah, ask them if they are alright."
