Looking for things to draw!

I've been itching for more practice sketching, so I tried picking out random articles in the 'Approved Additions to SARP' forum. Unfortunately the majority of them lack detailed visual descriptions or aren't very interesting to draw.

So, if anyone has any characters, ships, armor, or anything remotely interesting to draw, let me know along with a detailed description, or not-so-detailed if you want me to wing it. But the whole point of this thread is for art practice and highly detailed descriptions make commissions harder, so detail is a big plus.

No promises on if I actually get around to drawing stuff or not, but hey, they're free commissions. Don't complain, you cheap wankers! XD Oh, and those of you that are wondering what my art looks like, check StarChan.

Perhaps as a test of your abilities:

The Stalwart Special? I don't really care if it looks anything like it's supposed to look, or like I think it should look; I just care what you do with it.

It has shotgun type recoil and shorter stubbier barrels than other models, as well as the heavy weight of a quad barrel weapon system. Yet it boasts "high power and accuracy, and extremely long range." That can mean either it's a mounted squad weapon (as being mounted would compensate for the hefty recoil and weight), or it's just a personal side arm made of superior materials (which would also compensate for the heavier recoil and weight). Which of the two is it?

And on another note, what sort of art template should I use for Stalwart weapons? Junky patchwork made-in-your-garage? Round and organic looking? Smooth, dark, and sleek? Old fashioned blocky and metallic?

I must have botched the description there. It's a four-rail linear rifle (thus shooting two needles at once) that looks vaguely like a futuristic shotgun (thus the internal development name). It's a rifle, not a shotgun, but Stalwart doesn't name things very well.

The original model (ie the prototype) should have a patchwork look, and the mass-produced model should look consistent with other Lorath-manufactured weapons (ask Tomoe). Both should be signed "Stalwart Special" in cursive and have the SDI logo on it (which you can wing for this drawing).

Again, I just want to see how well you draw - even if it looks nothing like it's supposed to. I'm more concerned with potential than accuracy.

From an artistic perspective it looks wonderful - everything both asthetically and functionally right. Good use of colors and demonstrations of functional features.

From an accuracy perspective it isn't. It's not nearly as compact as it should be, the 'barrel' moniker is a bit too literal making the weapon look a bit like a gatling weapon, and there's no battery, light, laser, or targeting module in sight.

But that was to be expected - I saw what I could expect from your skills and I am more than satisfied. I hope to see and/or solicit more of your work in the future!

I shant be outdone by Millia! Rawr! *Foams at mouth*

Dr. Rasalas Al Na'ir, expert in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, virology, and immunology. Training aboard at Yamatai universities and then joining CSEIA, he is one of the galaxy's top authorities on biochemical weaponry, specifically retroviral engineering and pathogen design. Though no longer actively working in CSEIA's bioweapon programs, he is still wanted for his participation in arms dealing and suspected involvement in multiple bioterrorism incidents. Also sought after by many enemies of the YSE for his earlier, but unfinished, attempts at creating a retrovirus capable of defeating the so-called invulnerable immune systems of the Nekovalkyrja.

Possible future character design for CSEIA JPs, pirate plotship, or roleplaying in other shady elements of society. Because, well frankly, SARP doesn't have enough mad scientists.

Fixed, foo.

I'm currently doing two more commission pieces for a friend, but once I'm done those, I'll give the Elysians a shot. Maybe. If my professor doesn't dump too much homework on my after Christmas break.

I don't know if you can register a hairstyle as a trademark or anything. I'm just saying that it looks a tiny bit cheesy. :(

Of course the hair is cheesy. He's an evil genius. I was going to give him either that hair style or an Einstein-ish doo. And those are a pain to draw.
