RP: LSDF Reclaimer [Lor System] LSDF Reclaimer, Mission 1, Part 1.

/ON (LSDF Reclaimer, Lor system)

Starblaze gave a small nod before she began to move them out of the debris field. With a sigh she winced a little as a piece of hull hit thiers, scraping against it a little but otherwise not hurting it.

"I have almost finished reeling in the net, secondary scans confirm a small power source, though its readings continue to be erratic,â€

Feather regarded the cat's behavior. "Well, let's get to the bridge so we can find out what that jossle was about." She said as she began to crutch her way forward.

Sharp had been rather busy since the initial explosion, by the Goddess, he was busy even prior to it. According to Yamataian time, he would have been awake a whole day by now, but thankfully, he operated upon Lorath time, sure, he was still burning the midnight oil, but nothing as bad as what a Yamataian counterpart would be dealing with.

As Sharp made use of his time, he cautiously moved about the cargo hold, taking readings of radiation levels, energy emissions, and even temperature levels in the air as he took in the situation. Seems stable enough now... may have been only a stray 'glob. The technician frowned as he thought over the situation. He began to measure the distance between where they had placed the engine core, and the cargo hold doors. Soon after, he made notes regarding the air pressure of the hold. Could simply let it out and get rid of it...

Tranquil quietly went about his work in the medical bay, as many people, including those that he had not order to come had entered the medical bay to see if they had been poisoned with radiation.
Latham sat quietly to one side watching his two unconscious patients for any changes in their condition. It was at times like this that Tranquil was sure that the bird had gotten more from their bond that he had. Not of course, that he minded...
Apparently the story of the fiasco in the hall had gotten out and was, along with the explosion, one of the two things to be talked about as people waited in the medical bay. Many of them quickly got roped into helping his get things organized and put together as he conducted his examinations of each crew member, most of those who did wondering exactly how it had happened since he had convinced them to do it while saying only a few words, since he was examining them at the time and too busy to pay attention to the conversation.
As it was the medical bay was beginning to look much more like a medical bay than a room with medical equipment into it as time past. He really liked it when a large desk was placing in a corner in the room with its own computer, especially considering that it was something that he himself had completely forgotten about.

Back on the bridge Skka'ri noticed a few blinking red communication notices on his console, direct channel, secured access. As he read through the messages a seriousness came to his face that had been greater than any other point in this mission. He quickly sent back a secure message of his own, and in short order recived a reply.

With a sigh he sat up in his chair and began to speak, "Move us out of range of the debris field, and plot a course for Kathra Station and engage at 1000c as soon as we are clear of the field". He paused for a moment, "we are also to maintain radio silence, and to only accept direct communications from Kathra Station until further notice, that is all."

Nodding lightly Starblaze did as told. Idly she wondered at what such a order could be brought about by, but then as she thought more on it the more she realized she didn't want to know. With a stiffled yawn she turned the nose of the ship twoards Kathra station and sped off twoards it.

Naicen let out a small yawn as well, or best that a cat could, and stalked along side of the Fyunnen, pressing against her good leg from time to time looking for a pat, or a scratch of the ear.

Sharp, whom was busy with decontaminating the cargo hold, stopped in his place for a moment as his embedded cybernetics brought the day's news to his attention. He then resumed what he was doing as soon as he gained a full depth of the situation, as he worked, he glanced from side to side at the other 'Occhestians' in the cargo hold, they acted much the same way... scared.

After Sharp had concluded with decontaminating the deck plate which he was working on, he set aside his equipment and silently moved from the cargo hold and to his quarters. Something inside of him made him feel like he was going to vomit. 40 years of conflicted training, psychological conditioning, and loyalty began to fight between one-another as he mulled over the news. Then, the most recent drills which were forced upon him during his trainnig for the LSDF came to his mind.

LSDF Basic Training said:
The Fyunnen instructor strode before her squad of new recruits "Alright you dirty little pukes, listen up. You're not working for your own caste anymore. You're not working for your private militaries, and you're not working for your own selves anymore. You're working for the Lorath people, and the Tur'lista Matriarchy! Any loyalties which you had before this day are nothing, and will be nothing. You sign yourselves to your people on this day, a position of honor, a position of service. Your job from this day onward is to protect the Lorath as a whole, from enemies within and from enemies from above."

The instructor stops before a Fyunnen who seemed to take her dialog as something to doubt, their face seemed to scream it. With that, the Fyunnen instructor lashed out and drove her fist into the smaller male Fyunnen's torso. "You worthless worm! I tell you that you're going to serve the matriarchy and you're going to get uncomfortable because you liked licking your mistress of a commander's boots?!" After the male fell to the ground, the Fyunnen instructor promptly placed her boot into the man's ribcage, then she began to walk before her recruits once more.

"As you see here today, the Fyunnen, Lmanel, and Occhesta have been put into existence to serve each other, for the will of the royalty, who guide us to victory. Any one individual caste has only a fraction of the picture in mind... Fyunnen long for war, Lmanel are too focused on the land, and the Occhestians are too focused upon their own betterment which borders greed. Together though, we can manage to overcome our individual flaws, and manage to strengthen our entire race, for the better of the future."

Soon afterward, the instructor motioned to a nearby fire pit. "If you are going to join the Lorath Self Defense Force, you will do it with no burdens of your past loyalties. Legally, psychologically, and spiritually, you will be freed of your bonds by the will of the Xiaah and High Priest. Cast aside the materials which tied you to your individual caste, and move on to serve the Lorath as a whole."

With that, several Fyunnen stepped forward and reached into their duffel bags. They drawn out large elegantly crafted leather crests which they once wore upon their armor, and they cast them into the fire where they seemed to sit for an eternity before they even began to smoke. Lmanel individuals strode to the fire and cast in small leather pouches, scrolls, and other small trinkets. The Occhestians of the group muttered to each other, Sharp was the first one to move to the fire and toss in his OCG ID card, and a small book which he carried with him. Others only followed after his example. Their actions may have been sincere, or they may have been for show...

At the time he knew only the fire of war or a painful sorrow would reveal the truth, and now, he was going to see the way that those recruits were going to go. Sharp reached under the pillow of his bunk and drawn a .50 revolver from beneath it, it was a LSDF compensated model of the "Hand Cannon" revolver. After checking the weapon's condition, Sharp placed the weapon in a shoulder holster and put on an engineer's vest over the holster to conceal it beneath the tools held in the pockets. He then made his way through the ship, looking for the Fyunnen, Feather.

Everything in the medical bay had gone quiet as the last of his patients a blue haired Fyunnen had left.
The small pad that laid on his desk sprang to life bringing that day's news to him. Sitting down he read through it, suddenly glad both for the fact that he was sitting down and the emotionless face that he always wore, or else he would have been ill as horror coursed through him.
This was insane, no matter how you described it. Latham flew over and landed on his lap, giving a worried honk looking up at him as Tranquil land a hand on his back. He wondered if they had really considered the ramifications of this decision beyond the immediate results, or whether or not they had made the decision based on fear alone, a dangerous thing to do.

After a moment Tranquil's data pad would light up again with a message.

"Will you follow the Task master?
-Starblaze"

Starblaze had sent the message, though her face too was blank. She had gotten the news feed from the Lorath system that connected all ships to the planet. She was still moving the ship back twoards the station, but at the same time she was worried. What was to become of thier planet if one house was gone?

Tranquil read the short message for a moment before setting the datapad down and thinking for a moment, before picking it up and sending a message back to Starblaze, it was short but then it didn't need to be long.

Although i may not agree with this decision i will follow it, as my duty as a member of house Llamnel requires.

Tranquil

He didn't mention that he considered his duty as a doctor even more important though. He was a healer first, and everything else second.
