Nomenclature Information
Name: Star fall – High Yield Positron Delivery System.
Type: Positron Cannon.

Role: Anti-mecha, Anti-starship.
Length: 50 Meters.
Weight: 15 Tons.

Discharge Information
Projection/ammo type: Subspace encased positrons.
Firing Mechanism: The weapon draws a yield of positrons from the starship the weapon is attached to; these positrons are channeled into a focusing chamber where they are focused into a packet using magnetic fields. Once the packet is formed, it is then encased in a subspace bubble and launched from the weapon through the use of another magnetic field.

Alternately, the weapon can be fired in a continuous stream. When fired in stream mode, the weapon continues to draw positrons from the engines while firing them at the intended target, the positrons are encased in a subspace field while en-route to the target, thus accelerating them to super-luminal velocities.

Muzzle Blast: When the weapon is fired, a distortion effect is visible near the muzzle of the weapon, soon followed by a flash of light.

Recoil: Heavy.
Damage Description: When fired in packet mode; When the packet of antimatter reaches the intended target, the subspace and magnetic fields around the antimatter dissipate as the antimatter comes into contact with the intended target, upon contact the matter and antimatter annihilate each other, thus producing a large blast of energy as the atoms are converted to pure energy. This blast is roughly equivalent to a low yield nuclear weapon if the yield of the packet is low. If the packet's yield is high, then the resulting blast would be comparable to several dozen Hiroshima equivalent nuclear warheads.

When fired in beam mode, the impact area is converted into energy, thus resulting in a focused explosion of energy, thus ripping apart the target. If the target is made of Zesuaium, then the armor would gradually flake away, until bored through.

Visual Description: The weapon is connected to the starship's drives through the use of magnetically sealed conduits.
Charge: Indefinite.

Attachment Hard points: Yes, there are attachment hard points on the underside of the weapon. These hard points are used to attach the weapon to the vessel's hull.

Field Maintenance Procedure: Replace worn parts with new ones, return to shipyard if damaged severely.

Visual Description: The weapon has the appearance of large cannon, several meters wide, and fifty meters long. There is a smooth metal casing over the weapon covering large numbers of magnetic coils and energy conduits.
 
Not approved. There's no in-character basis for the development of such weapons. The tech is fairly new even in the Star Army.
