RP: Yome Ismâopate [Mission 1.2] Whom fortune favors - Aftermath

"Yes leaving probably is best after we encountered the defilers. After you give your report you should get some rest though." La'tâ gave Keyul a pat on the back to send him on his way now that she was done with his exam and labeled his blood work and everything.

She turned to Murr who was at the time pampering herself and smiled a little "Murr, I believe you can head out as well. I didn't recieve any notice about individuals to screen quickly so they can get back to duty. So I think you and Keyul have some time off."

After a quick hug to La'ta, she was gone as soon as the doorway was clear into the ship proper. By the time she hit her shipboard den (quarters) and the door closed behind her, she was down to the bare basics for decency, tossing the discarded clothing onto her bunk, she grabbed a fresh set of clothing, her Pamper Kit (hygenic kit) and scampered to the common showers (if segerated, then to the proper showering facilities).

She got the water as hot as she could stand and gave herself a rightious cleansings with all the proper scented fur shampoos, a good brushing of her fur and trim as needed. She luxurated in the hot water till her timed allotment of water ran out. Giving herself a good full vigorious body shake that sent water flying all over the place, then rebrushed her fur out again as it dried.

Murr gotten dressed again and returned to her shipboard den amidst all the teasing from her crewmates for being such a feminine queen. She just returned the teasing with a smile, shook with silent laughter as she playfully swatted others with her tail in the passing.

Once in full proper uniform, she accessed the ship's data base to see what had transpired while she was out on the simple recon mission which turned out not so simple. Once that was out of the way, she went looking for the others in the ship's common room where off duty personel liked to hang out in other than their private shipboard dens.

~~Showers~~

While in the rear of the showers Memi had been scrubbing the sweat and the grime from his fur. As he showered he glanced over to the entry and saw Murr come in, shower, then leave. He had frozen in the back of the shower and didn't move the whole time. Even after she left it took a few minutes before he rinsed off and headed back for his cabin.

~~Cabin 11~~

Once there he dropped into his chair and stared straight ahead. The day had be brutal on his nerves, straining them to their limits. first the combat, something he would do everything in his powers to avoid, then seeing Murr in the showers. the mixed emotions of the whole day really bothered him.

He sighed and tried to get back to his work on the transcribing, and the work on the illuminated scrolls for the ship's archives. But his mind was not on the work and he ended up waisting four separate sheets of parchment before he gave up and pushed the papers and the writing equipment across the table from him.

With a loud **thud** his head slammed into the table and he laid there with his breaths getting ragged. It was all too much. He was quite tempted to go up to the bridge and ask for a transfer back to the world station. Back to his archives and peaceful work. The only thing that kept him still was the fact his family would loose face recuse of him. They may still if he couldn't get a hold of himself and become a warrior. Though then he would become the beast he fought to evolved beyond.

Armory

Saorm showed up a few minutes after Syaboa had finished with the first weapon. The gray furred Qaktoro watched her for a moment before speaking. "Hello, you must be Sâvyjo Syaboa Purpu. I am Sâvyjo'sa Saorm Kamba. We will be working together while you are onboard the Yome Ismâopate. " he entered the Armory and picked up one of the returned rifles. He put it on a table and started dismantling it with ease. "So what brings you to the Yome? Adventure, glory, or testing yourself?"

Temple
Keyul walked back into the Temple after being released by medical. He walked up to the altar and pulled out a pair of his favorite incense sticks. He placed them in the holders and lit them. He let the fragrance wash over him. Crossing to the door to his cabin he walked in. He removed his clothes and folded them into a pile on the floor. He then walked into the private bath that was a perk for being the Detis Goa'a.

He turned on the water and stepped into the shower. He let the water run over him as he leaned against the wall. Keyul felt a tremor run through his body, it was followed by another. He concentrated on his breathing to keep himself calm. The recon mission was nothing like he had expected. Finding himself leading a band of other Sâvyjo into combat was far from his primary calling. Given that all of them were untried, he was amazed that things had not gone worse. All of them returned intact with only equipment damaged.

He started reciting the litany of calming while he began applying shampoo to his fur.

Medbay

La'tâ continued working all the uninjured patients, making sure everyone was taken care of, and once the screening and blood work was over, herself included, she sat down on a chair and let out a sigh of relief. She understood that things would be a lot more busy on a ship's edbay than she was used to, but that was a bit more stressful than she expected. However her job in the medbay was only half way through she still had to test all the blood work. She decided to take just a small break though and find a seat, she was hoping that there would be some Yâty, but there were not enough Tula on the ship, so the majority of the beverages were Kadamui, and what was left was getting cold too, so she just took some juice instead and sipped it

Armoury

Syaboa looked over at the new person as they entered the armoury and she smiled a bit and nodded "yea I am Sâvyjo Syaboa Purpur, nice to meet you Sâvyjo'sa Saorm Kamba" she made a sitting salute to Saorm. Syaboa smiled as she worked "it is good having more than just me here, I loves weapons but I think staying here with just weapons would make me a bit insane" she does a rare laugh and starts working again "the reason is for my sister, I want to make sure I can protect her and the clan, the only two things that matter, family and the clan" she looked up from the weapon she was working on "is that a good enough answer?"

Armory

Saorm continued with his inspection and servicing of the Stako weapon while Syaboa replied. He grinned broadly, "Sar Syaboa, you would have to answer if that was a good enough answer. I was making conversation; there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to personal motivations.

I myself joined the Wotanu Abokatinka Poku because it offered the opportunity to make a name. I come from a very small Ruoka, my parents died shortly after my apprenticeship. So my siblings depend on me to run the Ruoka and make us prosperous. Being on the Yome puts us in the foreground of clan activities. We will probably see a good amount of action, but also commensurate to the risks, we'll see some nice lelpafiqori. "

Siama Ruo'sa

Keyul turned off the shower after having rinsed all the cleanser out of his fur. He took a towel and gave his fur a thorough rubbing. He then walked over to the heated blower and turned it own. After a few minutes most of the moisture was gone. He walked back into his room and got dressed in his personal umatli and a robe. He left his room and set off to the Gianate Ruo'sa.

Bridge

Qaedal was looking over the reports from Toidorno. He noted that his apaloa had distinguished himself by leading his group into combat. 'Our parents will be pleased when they learn of this.' He thought.

"Tin-To'a, I have received a distress call." the ship's brain Tasi said through the speakers. "We are the closest fighting ship to it. Coordinates are being fed to navigation."

"Thank you Tasi." he pulled up the location. It would take two tunnelings to get to the stricken craft. "What does the message say?"

"The message was broadcasted by their brain. The crew is gone, taken by a hostile force. The ship is adrift. Its a Ismâo'a Class ship. The brain is on auxiliary power."

Qaedal activated the ship's intercom.

"Ovuhu-te, all hands. Away team personnel should report to the lounge in twenty minutes. We are leaving planet and will be tunneling as soon as it is safe. That is all." he switched off the comm.

"I am sorry, I am used to none stop questions where my answer were a judge of my character" Syaboa looked at Saorm "I am not sure about chatting, but I will if you would like to" she continues cleaning the guns. Syaboa looked at the weapons then back at Saorm "do you mind if we put the guns on the shelves, it will be easier than leaving them in the crates" she smiled "chatting does actually sound nice for once, so um.... I um..." she couldn't thinking of anything to chat about.

Armory

Saorm, "Think no more on it. We all get asked that question when we first serve on a ship. After awhile it can feel like an interrogation." He said with a friendly grin.

"The only weapons that should remain in containers are the ones that are not serviceable. All the others should be inspected and properly secured. Of course many of these were delivered after we landed and so were not put up." he said pointing to the shipping containers.s

He picked up another weapon that had been used by the recon team and broke it down. The weapon was unusable and would need repair by the technicians. So he placed it into the container for storage.

"So, how old is your apaloi? What does she like to do?" He asked, "My apai are ten mai old, they will be eleven in three months. Tosso, he is older than his apaloi. Ever inquisitive and eager to please. He loves to play at being a warrior, but also enjoys his studies. Torjaq she on the other hand loves taking care of people. If she does not become a healer I will be surprised. She is often quiet and one can forget she is in the room. But when she laughs, it is such a joyous sound. Losing our piai was harder on them than it was for me... Well, perhaps just harder in other ways."

He took a weapon out of the crate that contained unused ones. He quickly set about do doing a visual inspection and put it up on the appropriate rack.

Armoury

Syaboa grumbles as more weapons were unfit for use in the ones she was cleaning, then smiled "She is my twin, born just after me" she put the clean guns she had finished on a shelf then took the broken ones to the crate then looked at hhim "sorry I like doing them in batch its the same speed but I find it better" she shrugs as she gets another weapon and starts taking it apart "so.. what happened on the mission that I missed, seems something serious happened."

Medbay

La'tâ finished her little break and then began setting up the analysis of all the blood work, it was important, but it was also busy work and did not take much out of her to do. "Yaobas-sar? Is it common for ships to send Wapoin personnel out into the Stako?" She did not want to say she'd rather not go that would be a stain on her and her family's name,, even if she was Tula and used to being considered weaker should wouldn't allow anyone a chance ot call her a coward.

Lounge

Murr sat in her usual seat observing the others and listening in to their conversations. It was a discussion on the Defilers and the ensuing battle. Some were upset that they weren't the first ones to draw blood of the enemy. Some kept glancing at Murr as ashe sat silently in her booth finishing up her light snack and drink to replenish her reserve nutrients she expended during the foray.

As she finished her refreshments, one of her seniors spotted her and made hand motions to return duty while approaching her and took a seat across of her. "Congratss for getting blooded and first contact. The ship is abuzzed with your teams performance. From the Tin-To'a on down to the peons."

Murr nodded accepting the praise and accomplishments. She listened to her assignment, the area to patrol as the ship activity increased and the lounge emptying out as the crews returned to duty. She cleaned up her dishes and mug. She disposed of them in their proper place to be taken care of by the Mess staff.

On her way out, she snagged a drinking bottle full of Yaty and started her patrol, swinging by the Med bay.

Med Bay:

Murr slipped in and approched Lata, setting the drinking bottle of yaty next to Lata, knowing that Lata hadn't a chance to freshen up yet. The Yaty would hopefully make her day and feel appreciated. She got chased out by the Senior Wapoin. Murr winked at Lata as she exited the Med bay with a twinkle in her eyes as she resumed her patrol through out the ship.

Armory:

Murr moved by the Armory taking note that it was still open and lit up with voices coming from it. She scowled as she moved to the enterance of the open Armory to see if it was a radio playing or actually someone inside before she closed the door and report it to higher to get the Armory secured.

She saw Saorm and Syaboa working on weapons. She secured the door open to prevent from closing during take-off. She entered and gently tapped Saorm on his shoulder to get his attention and showed him her question on the wrist computer she wore.

:: How much longer you Cats going to be here? Ship's prepping to leave planet. ::

As Murr waited for responce from Saorm, she openly studied Syaboa, whom she had spotted earlier helping to secure the Stako's and other Power Armor chosen for the recon/battle mission. She was securetly glad not stuck on this detail. But she had learned a lot about weapons while working here. Saorm was very knowledgeable and loved weapons of any sort and couldn't keep his paws off of them during his free time.

Armoury

Syaboa's white fur was covered in grim, grease and dirt from her work, she smiled at the new girl who entered "hello there, it's good to see another females here, I haven't seen that many around" she nodded. Syaboa put together a cleaned working rifle, noticing how the girl was really clean and spotless, she liked it but would never be that fussed about cleanliness herself.

Armory::

Murr responded with a nod and slight friendly smile as her greeting to Syaboa as she waited. She moved gracefully next to Syaboa and pointed to her screen again after furious typing.

::Welcome to the Yome Ismaopate. I'm Savyjo Murr Whisk. Security Patrol Cat and Daho'a ::

Medbay

Jaqsi turned from her task of cleaning up. "Well, we are the first ship in the fleet to be issued the new Stako.

But Sar Qoji
it is standard practice that an away team has at least one trained healer present. Though the normal practice is for them to be kept at a safe point when combat happens.

This event that you and the other Sâvyjo were in; was unexpected. It happens though. After even without combat accidents can happen. People can get injured when exploring, it makes sense to have someone to tend them nearby rather than having to wait for one to be transported.

From what I heard, it sounded like things go a bit intense for you and the other Sâvyjo. That Keyul Aaeas made a difficult decision, most Sâvyjo probably would have pulled out and gone around or called to the ship for assistance. If he had done that, we probably would have had a lot more work, and regrettably probably a number of fatalities.

You are probably feeling a bit out of it. That is normal after being caught in a bad combat situation. After my first combat it took me a day or two to feel normal. Why don't you go and take it easy. I can finish up here."

Armory

Saorm read the display on Murr's wrist. He arched his left eye when he saw the word cats. "Sâvyjo Whisk, I am Sâvyjo'sa Saorm Kamba. I am aware that the ship is leaving. But these weapons were delivered while you and your team were out on your adventure. They need to be inspected and properly stored. And I seem to recall that your specialty is Demolitions. So you can make yourself useful by opening that crate over there." he said indicating one with explosive warnings. "Store them in the sealed lockers in the back."

Armoury

Syaboa nods " pleasure to meet you Murr, I am a Daho'a as well, I like building weapons more than anything I am also a as you put it Security Patrol Cat" she looked at Murr then at Saorm listening to what he said about explosives and her eyes lit up. Syaboa goes back to securing weapon and unpacking other weapons to secure in the armoury, they stands and watches the others talk.

Medbay

La'tâ listened to Jaqsi and then nodded softly "Yes it does make sense to keep healers along with the crew..." She picked up her Yaty that Murr had left for her before quickly leaving, and pondered for a moment. "I admit that it was much more than I was expecting and even possibly disturbing...but are you sure you want me to take a break? There are not many healers on the ship as it is already."

Armory

Murr looked to where Saorm poinmted as she shook with a wide grin and soft panting. Eyes lit up as she fell on the crate. She quickly tapped in the access codes provided by the shipping manifest. She moved with careful speed. She unpacked each crate and stored the explosives in their correct spot. Always keeping count and checking off on the manifest when the count was correct. Any discrepencies were noted and sent to Saorm's computer to be investigated, along with the corrosponding shipping manifest that held the item.

Even though she would be considered a powder puff by way she fussed over appearance, Murr wasn't shy about jumping in and lending a paw of help.

It could be seen that Murr knew explosives by the way she stored the items and all most drooled over the latest explosives in the shipment. She paused as she looked at a package of thermal plasma putty. Stopping and reading what was written on the packages, when she should've been putting them away. Her eyes sparkled in delight as her eyes fell on the tech manuels that gave indepth detail on how to use the stuff.

She typed in a responce and displayed in holographic form so all can see and not feel left out.

:: Sâvyjo'sa Kamba, my mind must've been adled from the encounter with the Defilers. Here's the inventory of explosives used in the encounter. 4 blocks of 9 lb Composition 4. 2 Satchel charges of same type of explosives. 4 remote command detonaters beyond retreviel. 4 Controllers returned for re-use and calibrations. 2 blocks of C-4 with timers. ::

Murr winked at Syaboa as she picked up another batch of explosives to put away. Typed in another message to display :: Hopefully we can work as a team on the next forray into the unknown, Savyjo :: After she had spotted Syaboa's rank. She displayed the message so that Syaboa could read it.

~~Cabin 11~~
With a jerk Memi sat back up. He must have dozed off for a bit. At first he wondered what had woke him, but then he slowly recalled the announcement. With a groan knowing full well they were going to send him along, he grabbed his satchel with his note books and a few extra writing instruments.

Before he walked out the door he leaned forward until he bumped his head again and let out a long sigh. "I can dishonor the family..." He tapped his head on the door again before keying it open and heading to the lounge.

~~Lounge~~

As he entered the lounge he took a minute to get a cold water and found a seat off in a corner where he would be out of the way and out of the history.

Syaboa continued to work and looks at Murr "I hope we do, you seem like an interesting person, it would be a great time working with you, and Murr if you ever want a weapon and we have the parts I will make it for you" she grinned at the thought of making the weapon. Syaboa smiled "your the explosives expert, I like melee weapons the most, I love getting close and personal with my prey seeing the light leave their eyes."
