RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 12.1] Encounter At Shara

"Wars rarely start over simply one lone issue...politics are far more complicated than that. Ah, thank you..." Yaichiro also accepted the drink, giving a tiny and slightly sad smile as Reika began to speak. Afterward, Hanako spoke of leaving after the food was eaten, which Yaichiro agreed with. They'd made much progress, and the rest could be handled by more specialized delegations.

Toshiro ate a bit as well, listening in fascination with the discussion, as the Ironman that Yggdrasill was controlling sat next to him. The armor didn't eat anything, but was present just the same and listening to every word.

Armundo's smile widened ever so slightly at the Taisa's compliment " Thank you, ma'am." he said before turning around . He took the food from the trays and set then down before the delegates. Each of the dishes had a sample of each dish he had prepared. Despite the smaller portions, it still took him a few minutes to pass the food out. He had begun with the Taisa and went around the table until he ended up beside her once again before explaining the dishes to the dignitaries.

" As I mentioned, the dishes you have contain a sampling of common Yamatain cuisine and more causal comfort foods ." he began " Starting from right to left, you have Sushi which is a slice of fine fresh fish atop steamed rice and dried seaweed. Next you have a bowl of Miso Ramen noodles with a half a hard boiled egg and tempura fried shrimp. Next you have some pulled pork served with a homemade barbeque sauce which could be added to the ramen if you desire. We also have vegetables stir-fry which includes brocolli, snap peas, bamboo shoots, peppers, squash and chestnuts and finally we have one of my personal favorites..Hot wings over rice. A bowl of short grain rice topped with fried chicken peices tossed in a spicy sauce. I tried to make the sauce mild while still keeping some heat. " he said.

There were a few bites of each dish, but all together they made up quite a meal. Lastly, he took the cheesecake from the cart and set it on the table within reach of the Taisa , aloung with a knife and spatula. He cut up the cake quickly and started to set peices of the cake on chilled plates that had been laid out on the cart. He went around, setting peices of the cake before each person aloung with a strawberry. The Taisa received the one on the cake itself. Armundo returned to stand behind and to the right of the Taisa's seat " I hope you enjoy the meal. " he said, waiting for questions about the food or for a dismissal from the Taisa.

In either case, he would returned once everyone had finished to gather their plates and load them back onto the carts.

 

[Ira]

Sune

Jiban smiled and ate with him. She felt bad for her error in judgment earlier, but she found Sune to be quite enjoyable as a person. “Tell me, is your race indigenous to this region of space? I also want to know how accessible it would be for me to visit your home planet.” She said as she stabbed bits of food with her claws and brought them to her mouth. She paused speaking as she ate her food, taking care not to violate Gartagen table etiquette.

Hanako

Tam would wait for Hanako to pour the wine before sipping it. He wrinkled his noise finding the drink to be rather tart but consumable. “This is very different.” He remarked before trying it again. “My lady Hanako, I remember you promising aid us in any confrontation with the NMX.” Tam then brought up his data pad detailing the attack on Ether. “Well we have initiated one due to the fact that we have deemed them a threat we can not ignore, and aiding you in this conflict does benefit us. The problem we have is the enemy fleet has been driven back by our forces. If reinforcements from arrive, we will be forced to with draw our fleet a second time, abandoning our forces on the planet. I was wondering if your government would be interested in a joint military operation.” Tam said in a very serious and hushed voice. “It is time the NMX are driven back to where they came from, do you not agree?”

Helen

Gian listened on as Helen spoke, but offered no opinion, for she had none on such a matter. The question next posed was intriguing. “As a race we have many varied belief systems, but the most popular one held is that all life is a product of the universe as we know it. The stars and planets worked in concert to breath life into our bodies granting us what you would call a soul. In this way Gartagens and aliens are all kin, but kin do bicker so we are ready to defend our selves.” She said with a soft laugh.

Yaichiro and Reika

“The D’jashii have members in the government, and do hold a good deal of sway. The majority of their power lays in their finances and influence over the people” He said looking at both Reika and Yaichiro. “Please miss.” he said to Reika “Try some drink?”

 

[Wes]

Taisa Hanako was just starting on her cheesecake when Tam showed her the data pad. She set down her fork and looked at the data pad with intense interest.

"This is happening right now?" Hanako asked, clearly surprised. This race had just taken upon itself to attack the largest know military empire in the known universe. She had to credit their bravery.

Standing up, Hanako gave Tam a goodbye bow. "I will see what I can do."

As she made her way back towards the Eucharis, Hanako sent out a wireless alert to her crew and their communicators: "All Eucharis crew, please return to the ship immediately."

Next, Hanako made a direct call to the Star Army's commander...

 

[Nashoba]

Banquet Hall
"Our homeworld is located south west of here galactically speaking. I believe the Taisa has been working on a treaty agreement. If she was successful, then that would mean your people would be permitted to visit Yamatai or any of the other worlds in our Empire as friends..." Sune paused when he received Hanako's message.

"Jiban-San, it would appear that something has come up. We are being recalled back to the Eucharis. I have enjoyed our conversation, and learning what I could of your people. I will send a message to our Civilian Science team and give them your name as a person they should contact upon arrival. I am sorry that our visit has been cut short. I would very much have liked to seen more of your world." He stood and bowed towards Jiban.

Sune then started heading back towards the Eucharis. Pineapple having received Hanako's message at the same time, fell in along side him.

"It is a shame that we have to leave so soon Jalen-Chui. These Gartagens seem like interesting people." she said.

"Yes, obviously the situation must be bad for us to be leaving so abruptly. I am sure the Taisa will enlighten us once we are onboard." he said leaving the building and making for the Eucharis.

 

[Gabriel]

As Ramiro finished his meal with the Solar Commander, he glanced down at his comm which had just beeped. Quickly swallowing his food he stood. "Well ma'am, it seems that something has come up, and the ship is to depart immediately. It has been an honor to make first contact with your species and I hope that we will come in contact again." Ramiro bowed, as he would to any officer within his own military and then proceeded immediately to the Eucharis.

Armundo watched as the Taisa stood from her chair, leaving the food uneaten. He stood where he was, watching her leave and wondering if she was coming back or not. After a moment, a chime alerted him of a message waiting in his communicator. A quick peek revealed that the message from the Taisa, ordering all crew back to the ship. Armundo looked a bit confused, glancing from the message to the doors.

He could not help but wonder why she had not thought it proper to tell him they were leaving when she was passing less the five feet from him. There again, it may have been rude to say so in front of the guests. He swallowed once, looking at the food he has just set on the table a few minutes ago. He didn't think everyone had had time to finish..but that couldn't be helped

" Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm sorry but I must gather the dishes now. " he said, walking around the table and collecting the plates. He looked at the cheesecake for a second and the saucers they were on..they should at least have their dessert " Please feel free to take your time with the dessert." he said. He did not think they would miss a few saucers back on the Eucharis and he would pay for them if they did. He gathered the Taisa's cheesecake and fork and covered it with a napkin , setting it on the cart. He turned and gave the dignitaries a small bow before he made his way back towards the ship, pushing the carts before him.

He arrived back on the Eucharis, taking his carts up to the kitchen via the lift. He took the Taisa's cheesecake and set it inside large refridgerator, keeping it covered with a cloth for when she had time to enjoy it. He has dishes to do, so he started on them, stowing them away. He had a feeling that they would be lifting off soon.

 

[Toshiro]

"...It seems our new friends are eager to make their mark on the universe. We'll have to hurry so as not to lag behind your efforts. Thank you for answering our questions, and hopefully we'll meet again. In the meantime, more specialized agencies can help handle the details...hopefully you understand that the enemy won't wait for us to bring our talks and dinner to a polite conclusion." Yaichiro said, rising from his seat. He gave a bow of respect to the Gartagen he was speaking to, though not so low as to indicate superior position. He then went to Hanako to accompany her back to the ship.

"...Again you move quite quickly..." Toshiro said, looking a bit ill at ease. "I hope that I haven't done ill, introducing your world to all of this..."

 

[Kyle]

While they walked, Takeyu rubbed his chin thoughtfully for several moments. "Anyway, there are a few more questions I'd like to ask, though these two are rather bold," he hesitated for a moment, then asked them.

"I'm curious about offensive, and also, defensive weaponry. Shielding and armor plating, I will understand if you can't answer them entirely," he said in a respectful tone.

"An interesting viewpoint, one that would certainly promote a positive approach to other life in the universe... though..." Helen gave a soft sigh as she stood up and bowed lightly to her escort. "I must depart, the Taisa has ordered the return of the crew to the ship. I do recall my way here, I would assume it would be the same way out, unless you would like to escort me?" With that, Helen actually took the initiative and began to make her way to the Eucharis.
