RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 16] The Nest

Rabaal System

Battling navies filled the starfield with pinpoints of light and long streaks of weapons fire. The station raised its shields and began firing on the Star Army fleet, obliterating several of the blue-gray ships in its first attack with one of its main guns.

YSS Eucharis – Armor Bay

An ally wearing a Mindy appeared next to Ramiro in a flash of light, and she quickly detached her teleportation unit and gave it to him.

Hanako sent him the coordinates to where Team 2 had been.

Team 2 – NMX Ship

Akemi and Reika’s shots alone weren’t that effective against the Rippers coming after the team but combined with her squad, they were able to use their combined firepower to take down the lead one, which was shoved aside by an identical Ripper behind it. The Rippers had a lot of firepower, and the dwindling number of infantry nekos went down by another two, leaving all of Murakami and Koga’s escorts dead. There were only 9 infantry escorts left with team 2.

Misato’s and her team took down a second Ripper, but there were still 3 left in the squad. As the team synchronized their CFS their shields equalized but it didn’t make them tougher. The scalar field either didn’t affect the enemy armor or it was negated by the ship’s internal gravity system.

Mitsuko and her two remaining escorts found themselves wandering through an unfamiliar ship that appeared to be mostly empty. They ended up in a narrow corridor with crew cabins off to the side. There were a bunch of half-dressed catgirls inside, scrambling to get their uniforms and boots on to respond to the invasion. When one saw her, the whole group turned to look and began to fly out of her view like a startled school of fish. She could see the bridge wasn’t far away.

Team 1 – Core

Natsumi’s shots tore the unarmed, unarmored technician girls to pieces, splattering copious amounts of blood over the now-broken control panels they had been standing next to. The Rippers hanging around on the main level now were forced to react and they began to cut through the floor into the lower level where the coolant pipes were. An aether saber blade came through the ceiling above Takeyu as he stepped away from the planted explosives.

When Konoka went up a ladder to shoot, she was only able to kill a few technicians before a Ripper targeted her head and shot her with a 50mm cannon. She lost consciousness for a moment as she fell down, her helmet smashed in with blood leaking out. She woke up in a couple seconds with her AIES armor display showing deep red on her helmet status. Most of her optic sensors were down and her body displayed a warning that she had suffered skull fractures and mild brain damage. Everything seemed kind of slow motion and she felt like she was going to vomit. She could feel some of her teeth floating around loose on her tongue and her ears were ringing pretty badly.

Team 2
NMX Escort Ship

Mitsuko squeaked, thankfully silenced by her helmet, as startled by the crew as they were by her. After a moment to recover, she used the external speakers, not set too loud, to contact them. "...surrender and stay in your quarters, please. It's...very dangerous out here, currently." She continued toward the bridge, letting her escorts lag behind to watch her back and make sure the NMX Neko didn't try anything funny.

Once she was out of view, she enabled her camo systems. Advancing towards all the noise, she cringed and bit her lip. Well, she had her orders. If everything had gone right, she was about to flank the Rippers, ready to activate her melee weapon and attack as she had been instructed. Once she made contact and used her moment of surprise, her escorts had been asked to made their own arrival and attack. If all else failed, she'd just attack with everything her suit had. At least Murakami and the escorts might make a good distraction for Helen and the others to exploit.

YSS Vesper

Tomomi patiently awaited for the coordinates for her teleporation jump. She was debating weither to go with a heavier load when her suit chimed in that it had recieved the coordinates. Once her unit was primed up, she proceeded to exit the the bay into space in order to jump.


NMX Escort Ship

One moment she was looking at the empty blackness of space and the next she was rebalancing herself to gravity . With all of the sounds of battle, she did her best to crouch down and find some cover once she looked over and saw Helen.

"Kurita-Hei reporting ma'am. Where do you need me?" Tomomi said, sending a quick laser communication burst to Helen's suit. Not like she really needed to do that. That burst of energy would have lit anyone's sensor readout like a supernova.

Tomomi was behind the Ripper group Team 2 was engaged with in the corridor.

Tomomi cursed silently to her ancestors when she realized that was a group of rippers and not the team she came to support. She activated her active camo and raised all of her weapons at the nearest ripper as she attempted to find a hiding spot. She opened fire soon after. She had no clue where the team was located and she was going to try to take down at least one before her eventually demise. Tomomi was really hating her luck ever since she joined the star army.

Team Two - NMX Escort Ship

"What a mess." Helen mumbled, as she was once again reminded that she needed to take more courses in engineering principles. Though, one thing was made distinctively clear, they were not going to be making any progress using scalar weapons. Though, her spirits were lifted by the arrival of Tomomi, and her weapons fire.

"Team, begin to focus fire on targets, we're not going to take them down by distributing our fire. Use our AIES link to determine targets by priority, and everyone open fire at the same time." Helen ordered, deciding to shift up tactics a bit, as she used her AIES to mark the targets, and share data with the group, before the first target determined as a priority by the AIES was indicated. "Fire on target, then switch to the next!" Helen ordered, as she opened fire, and prepared to move her aim to the next indicated target to repeat the procedure.

Team Two - Bridge Junction

Akemi had already been coordinating her shots with the others and continued to do so. She was pleased to see through the communication of their armors that Murakami was now in range to attack after taking a good while to arrive. "Get in there and aim for the chest!" she sent to her, not shouting, but raising her voice. She then spoke to Helen, "Ma'am, how about we charge and assist Murakami in taking out the ones behind us and then turn around to finish these off together with her group?"

Team 2

So far, so good.

Mitsuko paused to gather her resolve, then moved. Tomomi's appearance and Helen's switch in tactics gave her even more of a chance to do some damage. She followed her orders to attack in close...rocketing into melee range before activating the blade. Murakami tried not to concentrate on how dangerous her current situation was, letting her training and reflexes take over as she attacked. Hopefully she could do some damage to one of the Rippers with the close-range weapon, her escorts moving into range to attack now that she had made her position clear.

If it seemed like the melee weapon was not moving for her, she planned to switch to firing everything her suit had at this close range. With her remaining escorts and Tomomi arriving to stir things up from this new angle, maybe they could successfully take the bridge, even if Murakami wasn't in any shape to appreciate their victory...

Team One

Takeyu ducked when he heard the sizzling and quickly dove away before turning around and running up to Konoka and grabbing her armor, he then began to drag it to what - he perceived - as the safety of cover. "Squad 2, provide fire, take down that blasted Ripper!" he shouted as he placed himself in front of Konoka so that she would be safe from enemy fire as he scanned the upper level for the Ripper. Then, he repurposed his drones, and ordered them to attack 'only' the Ripper now.

Damn it all... trigger-happy crewmen, I hope at least some of those technicians are still alive so we can possibly shut off any backup systems that would prevent a core overload.

Team One

As Bors listened to the battle growing on the upper levels he tightened his grip on his Particle Rifle waiting for one of the rippers to jump down and start shooting at them. Instead of a Ripper falling in front of him, Konoka did, causing him to jump and almost start shooting at her, though thanks to his training he didn't and instead started to cover Takeyu as he dragged Konoka to 'saftey'. Keeping his weapon trained at the top of the ladder, he kneeled down next to the medic and gave her a light jab in the ribs.

"Eh Doc you alive?" He said in a semi joking tone. As he waited for a response Bors did a quick scan of the upper levels to make sure that there wasent any other route that the Rippers could come from and flank them.

Team 1- The Core
"Yesh, Borsh*", Konoka lisped through a mouthful of bloody teeth in response to Bors' question. Looking at Takeyu, she said with obvious remorse, "Danks Shhoi. Fordiv 'e. Tot I was 'elpin'." Her green eyes wer sorrowful and full of pain. "Teet 're bwoken," she informed them, and then promptly passed out.
It wasn't a good sign.

* OOC: Konoka said, "Yes, Bors....Thanks, Shoi. Forgive me. Thought I was helping.....Teeth are broken."

Team-1 Core

How did we miss seeing those Rippers. "All units concentrate your fire on the Rippers. Use the facility features to your advantage. Fire from equipment that they probably would not want to risk damaging." He sent to the team. As he took aim upon the Ripper that attacked Konoka. Die you misbegotten freak from a test tube. he thought diving behind a console and opening fire with his Ke-M2-W2913 Aether/Scalar Submachine Gun and the 50mm Gauss cannon on his shoulder.

Team 1, core

Natsumi had failed to capture any of the technicians alive and now found herself very much alone on the upper level. As rippers encroched on her position. She quickly dispatched her drones to herass the rippers as she began falling back to a more defensable spot.

"Im sorry Doctor" she said to Konoka as she fired at the enemy. Natsumi had screwed up big time and she knew it

Ramiro gratefully took the teleport module from the armor that appeared next to him. With a nod, he attached it and had his AIES begin inputting to coordinates as the module prepped and charged. Once he was ready, he stopped to make sure that his weapon was loaded, shouldered it into a high-and-ready position, and activated the module.

Team Two - NMX Escort - Bridge Junction

"Reasonable notion." Helen replied to Akemi, before she snapped around and delivered a shot in the direction indicated. "We're in a hell of a mess..." Helen mumbled, as she wondered just how many Rippers were aboard the ship, more so, she was thankful that their battle pods could not be fielded inside. None the less, even with the stress of the situation, Helen worked with her team to coordinate fire, so their group could properly form up, and push the bridge.

Team Two - NMX Escort - Bridge Junction

Once Helen's group had rounded the corner and Akemi saw the Rippers were firmly engaged with Murakami's, she charged forth into the fray with her beam-saber in sword mode to assist in tearing them up. She hoped fighting alongside the new crew member might put her at ease.

Core
Team 1

"That's alright, rest yourself a bit to regain your sense's, you took a pretty good blow there. Bor's-hei, do you have any medical expertise?" asked the Shoi as he tucked behind the metal wall for a few moments before looking up at the Ripper.

"Squad 2 Focus fire on my target, take the bastard down now! But do
'not' be a hero! Use cover and the tactic's I taught you!" shouted Takeyu to his squad he fired off his SMG toward the Ripper.

Team One

"Not Really Boss," Bors said to Takeyu "I was trained to make people look like that not fix 'em afterward."

After firing off a a few shots at the rippers on the upper levels he turned back to the Shoi,

"Though if the Doc can walk me threw it i think i might be able to help, What do you say doc?"

Team 1 - Core

Sune looked at Konoka and he felt for his friend, but they needed to get rid of the hostiles first. "For now put Konoka behind some equipment out of the way. Then join the rest of us. We need all able hands to concentrate on taking out those Rippers. If we do not take them out. Helping her won't matter. Once we secure the room, I can attend to her injuries. I have a med kit in my pack."

Team 2

The NMX nekos stayed in their cabin, at least as far as Mitsuko could tell, as she was able to continue without being bothered. However the collective intelligence they shared meant the Rippers knew she was coming and one of them turned to face her direction, looking for her. When her melee attack came, the Ripper shoved her back with its own, larger blade and lurched forward to behead her. Her two escort nekos opened fire, and the other bridge defense Rippers were now looking at her instead of corridor where the rest of Team Two would come from. This allowed Akemi to get a clean kill of one of them. It fell to the floor burning.

Tomomi found herself behind a quickly-falling group of Ripper armors being cut down by Team Two and another group of reinforcement Rippers pouring in from The Nest through the open landing bay. When she opened fire, she was able to help the others finish off the group but it revealed her position to the horde behind her and she began taking damage as aether streaks and cannon rounds whizzed down the corridor.

Ramiro appeared near Tomomi.

Helen’s team finished the corridor Rippers off with their combined fire, leaving them free to attack the bridge guards until the horde arrived.
