Mitsuko remained at the Communications station, listening for any further word from either team. She began mentally composing the requests she'd suggested, for supplies and a tow ship, while quietly looking over the rough list Takeyu had sent her. The living cargo would probably be better off staying as it was until Sune returned. The air cleaners seemed destined for HX-24. What were they going to do with all the other odds and ends? Hopefully it wouldn't wind up cluttering up her cargo bay, especially after she'd just spend most of the day tidying it up.

"Oh, uhm," Ramiro started as he pulled a space map onto the main screen. "I mean, there are several systems to the south, anything else would be going out of the way. I feel like it might be worth checking out the system nearest the nebula. 185 degree galactic azimuth, just over ten light years. They system has resided no more than twenty light years from Rabaal, so it might be worth taking a look at, especially if some of the squids have made it this far around the nebula. If not a civilization, we may find strategic assets to point out for one of the squadrons that are on NMX clean-up detail."

"What about systems that are already charted but need further exploration?" Hanako asked Ramiro, looking down at the starmap displayed on her desk.

"Hmmm," Ramiro responded as he looked back at the map. Pulling up some quick data from the systems he highlighted a few.

"Well, we have HX-10 and 11, which recent data shows should be habitable, and thus able to be colonized. Plus, HX-12 is listed as a terrestrial planet. While I am unsure of whether it is habitable it could be worth taking a closer look at."

Mitsuko remained at the station, listening to the sporadic reports describing the worsening situation on HX-24. It was hard to believe the other two on the Bridge were having their current conversation. Weren't they worried? At least Misato and the others on HX-21 would be heading back soon.

Hanako smoothed her hands over her skirt, then walked over to the mission operations station and stood over it. "The Golden Apple will return soon from HX-21. After it and the Telemachus are back, we will set course to HX-12 and investigate the system. Then we'll go on to HX-14 and meet that civilization. I was hoping we could buy some friends here on HX-24 with some goodwill and supplies but the team's efforts were unsuccessful. We can perhaps come back to them later once things cool down. What do you think of spending an extended time out here on the frontiers, Mitsuko and Ramiro?"

Mitsuko stayed seated at the Communications station, turning to watch Hanako as she moved. She had a worried expression on her face, and didn't seem very excited by the idea of staying in this area. She wasn't going to say that to the captain, though, with how her suggestions, comments and actions had been received so far today.

"If those are your orders, Shosho." The Neko managed a slight bow, even in her seated position. Murakami hesitated, but felt she had to mention something, since this concern was directly related to her job. "W-we have to at least stay long enough to deal with the items on HX-21, including that Lorath ship, right?"

"It would be nice to have some more leisurely missions," Ramiro responded. As he spoke, he was already conversing with Charisma through his keyboard as the two of them chose a route towards HX-12.

"The ship has seen enough combat, and I'm sure Nayacesen-Shoi would appreciate a few missions where she was able to continue flying without him having to hold her together with adhesive strips and a crate full of bolts."

"Not necessarily," Hanako answered Mitsuko. "I thought about picking it up or destroying it but that means having to go there and I would rather head the other direction."

She turned to Ramiro. "I cannot promise our missions will be 'leisurely' but with the Mishhuvurthyar tide now receding things should be calmer overall. I'm going to head down to the shuttle bay and wait for the return of our away teams. You have the bridge, Ramiro."
