RP: Yome Ismâopate [Mission 2.3] Âmuar shore leave

Heading out of the ship

"You say that because you haven't taken the time to appreciate it. Qaktoro do not have as strong a sense of taste, but there is a lot of great foods out there. The different vitdâmu have some strong taste to them, and if you season Laminwiqor'ka right and garnish it, you get many layers of flavor." She almost sounded excited as she spoke about food, at least more so than usual with her discussions. After all cooking meals that the master liked was something a retainer needed to know how to do.

Murr was lost as the sights and sounds of the nearby city that supported the base and provided entertainment to the visiting crews from ships off world. She moved to find a place to stay that was reasonable and decent. Not some fleabag of a place that were all over the place. With a heavy pocket provided by her hard earned wages, Murr finally chosen one that was decent in midst of everything.

She was happy that her parents would put up, at least, a token court fight for wardship of the two Baqli. This made sure that their relative would really take care of the young'un, that Murr had helped rescue. But on the downside of it would mean that the two baqli would remain under the guardianship of the Ismaopate till one side won custody of them. Of course the Courts knew this and played along to make sure the young would be taken care of, not abandoned to the whims of fate.

Murr was happy that her request made her mother happy again to have the possible chance to raise young again as fates decreed Murr was last born to her family. One left the home den to follow that path into the Starry Void of Space, to hopefully give back two to replace her, so that her mother would be content once more. Even if the two young wasn't of their union, they would be treated and well taken care off as if they was their own.

Murr was in high spirits when she checked into the Poku's Claw and was surprised at the discount she received for being in the military, plus all the perks that a higher paying guest would receive. She definitely put the word out to the crew of the Ismaotpate via text messaging. Treated nicely, Murr would send more business their way as a way of showing thanks.

As her brother Rawl would say on an occasion like this, 'It was time to get settled and party till broke!' Murr had a hard legacy to follow. But she would do the family proud, at least Rawl. Mother would definitely disapprove. Dad secretly approved while publicly support his wife on the matter.

Further along the way, out of the ship to a store

Shrugging Memi gave her an "I guess..." in response. he wasn't so sure he would care. Food was Food, now old books and scrolls, those were things to waste time on, and absorb the information they contained.

"You will be enjoying food before you know it." La'tâ looked confident, though the confidence was likely misplaced it would not stop her from the goal she had set out. "Oh, maybe you can start a diary about foods you eat as well. I have heard some that do that."

Poku Claws Hotel

Murr entered her room and tossed her travel kit on the bunk, pocketing the keycard in her pocket as she moved deeper into the room. Removing her over garment shirt with all the patches, ribbons, rank and other military marking. She tossed that next to the travel kit. Gave spin to give the room the once over', left the room to begin her time of debauchery and everything that went against her mothers desires and teaching. For now as Rawl would say, 'Time to play hard with no regrets!'

What better pace than the Poku's Claw Lounge to get started. But then as she entered, it was wrong. The atmosphere was wrong and no military, spacers, and partiers were not present. Even the music as too mellow. She spun and headed on out onto the strip, just as sun was setting upon the horizon to turn it aflame.

Did she take notice of what nature was displaying for her? No, Murr was looking at the garish neon lighting flickering on with a buzz and snap of igniting floran gasses confined in the fluoresce tubing of multi colors across the visible spectrum. Soooo many places to start as she moved with the crowd on the walkways. Drifting along with the momentum of the flow which was quite casual, giving time for every one to read the various advertisements of what the establishment had to offer. The noise from conversation around her was like white noise with an occasional spike in sound from a yell or a honk from a landing flitter or ground vehicle.

Without realizing she had travelled a mile and turned so many times from the street her hotel sat on, she was lost. But it didn't matter, there were occasional glimpses of Ismaopate crew and military abounded for the night on the town. Plus the occasional Shore Patrol and back-up vehicles to keep the unruly in line. At least she blended in by removing her top, yet still wore the military issue clothing.

Throwing caution to the wind entered the first establishment that caught her eyes and interest. Murr entered and went down a flight of steps into a rather huge dance club with it's deafening music pounding against her in waves to the beat. It stunned her momentarily as she got her bearings. Those that were behind her, either squeezed by or waited till she moved deeper into the club. They was in no hurry and the night still young.

Once Keyul approached the Saâdor Ikâ; he keyed the control code and the vehicle doors unlocked. Sogi and Tota dove into the vehicle and started jockeying for seats. Keyul smiled as he recalled similar events when the family traveled. Of course given the age difference such situations did not last long. He walked to the rear of the vehicle and put his bags into the cargo section. He then walked around and got into the drivers seat.

He did a quick pre-check of the vehicle and once completed he turned to the baqlii "Okay you two, strap in we're getting ready to go." The control console showed that their restraints had been engaged, and he turned the vehicle around and sped off. The two passengers let out with a howl of excitement as the vehicle surged forward. Keyul let his charges choose what kind of music they wanted to listen to.

A little while later they were pulling into the parking field. Once he selected a suitable spot for the vehicle Keyul parked the vehicle and shut it down. Climbing out he turned towards the entrance of the Gravity Drops. A track from one of the rides formed a loop above the entrance and a group of participants went soaring through it with screams of pleasure and excitement. 'This should help keep them busy.' he thought.

"Woah, did you see that Sogi? That is so cool, I can't wait to get on that one. Sar-Keyul, can we go on that one first?" Tota weedled.

"Sure, we are here to have fun, and we have all day to ride. So that means we or you can ride on as many rides as you like as many times." Keyul answered as he set off for the park entrance.

Club 25

Murr moved to the beat as her tail swayed and curved to the loud jazz-like music with a heavy bass beat. Lights flickered around the room drawing ones attention to the various advertisements of establishments to separate one's pay from them. With the noise and music competing, it sounded like a controlled riot, but without the violence and everyone smiling as they mingled with each other, swapped stories and general lines of pick-up between the genders. Couple danced on the dance floor with partners changing at random that who the couples started out with soon forgotten. Enjoying the moment of sharing of music and each other company, letting themselves flow with the music.

Before Murr knew it, she was out on the dance floor, moving to the beat and doing intricate dance moves with several partners. Drinks flowed just as fast as they was consumed. Even some of the more braver ones took their drinks with them onto the dance floor, only to be ended up, shared amongst many.

Music flowed around the Dancers and Murr as time slipped by. From dancing and drinking, came the breaks where one caught their breath. Soon the DJ was announcing the Last Call for Drinks and Last Dance and Murr found herself on the streets with the rest of the partiers heading to new places and those slipping away to head back to their places of rest.

Murr staggered as the fresh air and booze collided within her. She staggered off with the rest of them down the street, Smiling with eyes sparkling in the flickering neon lights as they flickered.

Poku Claws : Room 235

How Murr got back to her room, was one of those mysteries that Deities only knows and provided the necessary help for her arrive at her room. She fumbled with the keycard to get her door open. She finally managed to get the door open and entered. She blinked and looked around the room for the source that triggered the sudden gut instincts that even penetrate a intoxicated mind.

Sitting in a chair was a huge Poku, looking at her wearing the uniform of Intelligence. Murr looked at him as he looked at her. she saw his identification on the bed next to her travel kit. She moved and picked it up. Then compared the id card with the individual.

She tossed the ID to the man sitting in the corner chair and the first of many interrogation began.

En Route to Stores

"I guess I could do that," Memi muttered as they walked. he wasn't sure he really needed to change his diet. It had worked for him for a while now, but with a mental shrug he let it go.

The Qaktoro smiled at the young Tula. He could see this on was so eager to please, and prove herself. The fact that she had a birth defect and was allowed to live, was one more thing that did not sit will with him or his group. Another sign of how the present administration was leading the people astray.

He quested Murr about the events of encounter her ship had with the Âmuso Ibâka. There was much for them to be concerned about. Survivors was a definite bad thing. The plan had been to make it look like the ship had been attacked by outsiders. But now the WAP was aware that it was in fact attacked by a clan fighting ship. Worse even that the brain survived and was salvaged. Drastic steps were needed to deal with these issues. Elimination of the survivors would be easy once they were away from the crew. As for this one she would need to be dealt with in a different way.

He took out a flask and smiled at her. "Sâvyjo'sa Murr Whisk. You have been most helpful. You have done your Ruoka, and Punla well. " He poured two small glasses and offered her one. "This situation is very dire. Clan vessels attacking another, is an executable offense for those responsible. You are to speak to no one else about this. It would even be best if you limited your discussion even among your ship mates. For now, let us share a drink to the Clan, and Mui and hope that we get to the bottom of this without more bloodshed." He brought up his glass and downed the shot of Vomaris.

Poku Claw :: Room 235

Nodding solemnly to what he had said, Murr accepted the glass under the praise and poor judgment of already being intoxicated from her club outing. She raised her glass in toast. She drank the shot of Vomaris. The drink brought tears o her eyes and a rush that made her woozy and uncoordinated. Lucky the shot glass was empty, except a minor residue, fell to the carpeted floor from numbed fingers.

Lucky she was sitting on the bed as everything shut down in quick order as if she passed out from one too many drinks...

Sunlight fell warm upon her face along with a cooling breeze from the open window. Murr stirred slowly, rolling away from the bright light filtering through her eyelids. She knocked her travel kit to the floor with a thunk, which brought her awake. She sniffed herself and didn't like the unpleasant smell that assaulted her nose. If this was what Rawl meant by partying, She silently swore that she would never do it again much o her mothers pleasure.

She rolled off the bed and stood up slowly. She looked around at the room, unsure if this was even her room after a serious night enjoying herself. But her travel kit was familiar. She smiled and made her way into bathroom, stripping down to take a shower and freshen up for another adventure of exploring the city as it was already late in the day. Her stomach growling as she had missed breakfast.

Arriving at stores

La'tâ soon arrived at the different stores and restaurants with Memi and smiled. The smell of different foods being cooked was caught by their sensitive noses. "Can you smell that? It looks like we arrived at a good time, they have plenty of food ready." Her eyes glanced around for a place that looked like it would have buvory burgers since Memi had mentioned that was his favorite.

Once she did find a place she took his hand and began to escourt him there, she didn't want him backing out at the last moment when he realized there would be people there too.

Poku Claws : Room 235

Murr feeling refreshed and in a lot better shape. The head ache was gone and she as ready to sally forth when her eye fell upon the plastic shot glass by the corner chair. She moved over to it and picked it up.

She took a sniff and a weird feeling came over her as if she smelt it before. She held it up to the light and saw smudges of several prints on it and the residue of the drink with an oily rainbow prismatic effect to it.

She sniffed the air to see if there had been anyone in the room with her night before as she took in the furniture. The still made, but rumpled bed from where she slept. The chair still held the imprint of someone heavy had sat there.

She felt the chill crawl down her spine and her tail gave a violent sweep back and forth. She turned a full circle to take in the room. Her stuff was unhampered with and on the floor. She tried to recall last night after checking into her room. The club with loud music, conversation and drinking then things went blank.

Who was her unknown Benefactor that got her to Poku Claws and her room. She would have to inquire. She reached to her wrist computer and it was missing. She panicked as that was her only quick way of communicating with others. She trashed the room and couldn't find it.

From her kit she grabbed her back-up; low tech notepad and pen; from her kit. Then She found the plastic wrap to the shotglass and carefully wrapped it up and secured it in her kit. Unsure what to do next. She couldn't call the anyone as she was mute. She silently cursed her birth defect as she secured her Kit in a closet arranged in away that it would be hard to duplicate.

Murr left the room, after making notes on what she remembered and found. She wondered if her Tom Benefactor, that brought her back to the Poku Claw, took it as a joke to give him an excuse to meet up with her later.
