Since Orie had plenty of practice crawling through maintenance tunnels, she very quickly found her bearings and moved toward the engineering bay. Soon, she found herself behind one of the vents that led to the bay:

It looked like she would need to push out the vent covering in order to throw the grenades. However, the lid dropping to the ground would most likely alert everyone in the engineering bay. She would have to act quickly.

The Lamia sent her a telepathic message: ~Are you in position yet?~

In position! Orie returned to the Lamia. She quietly lowered the bag from her shoulder and drew out a grenade, hefting it in her hand to get a feel for how hard she'd have to throw it. Just toss the grenade in and back up reeeeeally quickly, she mentally planned. No sweat, right?

From behind the vent, Orie could see that most of the people in the engineer bay appeared to be technicians and engineers. They were lightly armed with pistols and knifes, and seemed to be occupied with monitoring the engines.

There was also a single soldier, heavily-armed, who appeared to be bandaging up the hand of a wounded crew-mate. It was hard to tell, from this distance, exactly what guns he carried, but Orie could tell that he would not be distracted for long.
