Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Asher observed the damage to Nimura and Tsuya with mild interest, he half expected at least one of the teams to come back like this. The Juni had split up the teams in unknown territory, which is a no-no if you don't know who you're fighting up against. Though, being a Santo-Hei, Asher kept his tactical observations to himself.

Then again, he didn't really feel comfortable leading people around, it took too much fun out of the fighting. So, he surmised that he held his recommendations back out of respect and to keep up his image as a grunt.

"Westwood-hei. Gunshin-hei. I want you two to secure our entrances and make sure we are not taken by surprise if we are attacked again."

"Gotcha, Naka-sir." Asher said, nodding to Kai as he turned and found some cover near the entrance they came in from. He raised his bazooka up at the door, waiting for something to come through. In particular, guarding a door wasn't much of a hitch to Yamataian, in fact, it's usually the guy at the door who starts fighting first.

After listening to the Intel of the Black Mindy and how Kurohoshi's team met their unfortunate situation, Asher felt like saying something.

"Shit! I knew Kuro-Juni's tits w'too big f'her body. If they were her size, she'd probably a'had better control in her movements. Prolly still be with us, too..." Asher shook his head, his voice speaking in a mock shame. His grim joke not bothering him in the least.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

"Thank you." Miyoko returned the nod and took her place at the operations console, then slaved tactical to it. Sensors remained in active scanning, with WARMS prepared to warn her if anything planned to fold into the area. And then, nothing left to do but wait.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Kai nodded at Nimura's answer. "I agree, we should stick together from now on. Our team was only saved from the NH-18's by quick thinking and Asher's flamethrower" the Heisho conceded.

"Asher, Keep the crude comments to yourself, please." the Yamataian suggested, glad that the cloned Hei had been listening to his orders so far.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Rin kneeled down by the break in the pipe. "Miharu, please seal the pipe," she sent telepathically. A moment for the steam to stop blasting about everywhere, then Rin began welding the pipe shut with as fast as was safely possible.

1... 2... 3.......

She briefly kept track of the passage of time, but it was only a half-hearted attempt. Either she'd finish in time and there would be a sufficient seal, or she'd die. Simple as that.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Kyou nodded, doing her best not to think about what would happen if the Mindy came back for another round. She wasn't bad, but she wasn't anywhere near Masako's level, and apparently even she hadn't posed much of a threat. She slung her plasma rifle in front of her, ready to grab it if she needed to. She did her best to ignore Asher's horribly offensive comments, but was hard pressed to keep her mouth closed.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

"Pfft." Asher looked back at Kai for a moment and the quickly readjusted his vigil on the door. Once again, it felt like everyone was taking the situation a little too seriously.

"You guys act like she's actually 'dead'. She's probably in tha' Med-Bay, right now, huffin' and bitchin' about how she died first. Heh heh heh." The Yamataian shook his head, the small chuckle escaping his lips. He appeared to keep an extremely optimistic view of the situation despite everyone elses worries.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

What IS this? Why aren't my defenses working? Why can't I resist it?! Nyton thought to himself as the pain offered a slight respite from the lust. The voices of his forefathers were fake, he knew that. Someone knew him enough, had either researched him or read his mind like an open book, to use them. He tried to focus on the puzzle not the lust when his cybernetic hand began to let go.

No! No no no! he thought as the immediate pain released and only lingering pain remained. It was already dissipating, an unfortunate irony as per his ability to tolerate pain so readily.

Hinoto's eyes had widened in alarm. "Miharu, what's the PSC status?"

"Psionic activity records as nil, Hinoto," the ship's AI informed her.

How can there be no activity? My internal ones failed so how can she not detect it? What the hell is happening to me!? Nyton thought, again the barrage coming from his loins and parentage pressuring him harder than ever. He wondered if Hinoto could even tell what it was that was wrong him specifically. Then he remembered his NSP! If he could just grab that and stun himself maybe he could resist it or at least knock himself unconscious! Failing that maybe Hinoto could use his GP-12 to club him even. It was his only choice otherwise he may cripple their operational ability in the mission-!

The white-haired sprite showed her support to Nyton in the wrong way. She got closer, raising her hands to support him - she did not yet understand what kind of feelings had grips on him. "Stay with me, Taii," she said, her voice earnest and her eyes clear. "Non-psionics can use their sense of individuality and of self-determination as a defense. It's much stronger in adult humans than it is in the younger nekovalkyrja. You can do this."

No! Don't TOUCH me! was the thought running through Nyton's mind and what he wanted to yell but it was too late. Hinoto's words, while hopeful, were not enough. Nyton knew his father and grandfather were not really talking to him but he did not care. He knew the lust he was feeling was not something he would usually feel but he did not care. He knew his defenses were breached which meant something was attacking him but he did not care.

Back home on Nepleslia Nyton had gotten into innumerable fights. He won a lot of them due to the training Thomas had drilled into him. Some were won out of dumb luck. Others because he had been helped. But sometimes he lost. It hurt to lose. Getting his nose broken by that kid in school hurt. Being stabbed in his left arm with a knife hurt. Blowing his arm off with a claymore hurt. Getting pummeled by those homeless kids that had outnumbered him hurt. Losing at chess all the time hurt. This time though losing never felt more welcome or potentially more pleasurable than any other loss he had endured before.

Kotori-! was the last sane thought Nyton had before a new addendum was added. If only Kotori were here too, then I could have BOTH of them.

All residual pain in Nyton's body was gone and there was nothing in his mind left to resist the compulsion. His breathing had gone from ragged to a steady deep rhythm that was more in control. As he breathed he looked at Hinoto and into her eyes. Her sweet face was so intoxicating now that he had stopped resisting. Why would he resist this?

"Thank you for your concern, Hinoto-san. You have always been so kind and supportive." Nyton said warmly. He 'stumbled' a bit and reached out to let her support his weight a little, placing one arm on her shoulder. The moment his arm touched Hinoto his fires were stoked further. "I'm sorry, that left me rather exhausted. If you will just help me a moment longer. That just adds to what makes you so beautiful." he said before bringing his other hand up to her waist. He supposed his behavior might start making Hinoto suspicious but he was prepared for any resistance. No, she won't resist. She's been looking at me. I know she has. he reassured himself before drawing her closer to his body.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Hinoto gave a faint gasp as Nyton took hold of her. His mind was no longer working clearly, but hers was.

His behavior had taken an unusual turn. He had made a choked warning that he was losing his mind to what he felt was a mental attack and then suddenly everything was 'fine'... now, he clutched at her, and she'd educated herself enough in men to have a clear suspicion of what he wanted.

The white-haired nekovalkyrja sprite eyed him warily. Nyton's body was the well-maintained one of a soldier - he and she were probably evenly matched in strength. Through cunning and inertia control she possibly had a chance to match Nyton's significant combat experienced due to his addled state. However, the cybernetic arm was what tipped the scale: if Nyton decided to overpower her, he would be able to.

Hence, if Hinoto made this into a struggle, she would not win. But a nekovalkyrja's combat prowess is not the only asset at her disposal.

"Don't worry, Hinoto," Miharu sent encrypted to the sprite. "I'll alert the Shosa to Claymere-Taii's peculiar behavior."

"Do not!" Hinoto covertly ordered in return. "In fact, create a reproduction of this room in the virtual reality chamber with our likeness, mask the activation of the VR systems, and have our simulated duplicates speak to the armor team with what messages I will convey to you telepathically. Use the same virtual replica to replace surveillance feeds to this room and seal the hatches to this room."

"You have to be kidding," the ship's AI protested, even though it went and executed Hinoto's plan. "I hope you know what you're doing, Hinoto."

"Yes. This is my battlefield now."

* * *

Nyton had seen Hinoto's expression momentarily shift to surprise and then to cautious wariness. He was now holding her kneeling form and while she had tensed slightly, she remained docilely within his grasp.

She breathed through her mouth, her soft lips slightly parted. Each breath had her bosom move slightly up, and slightly down. "What do you want from me, Taii?"

The voice that held Nyton in thrall did not add anything more for the moment, letting the Nepleslian carry on his own momentum. His cybernetic operating systems and their warnings had been reduced to a faint, ebbing white noise in the back of his consciousness. He could hear his heart thumping. His pants were feeling painfully tight.

@Gate's Hangar:

"Nakamura-Heisho." Hinoto reappeared on a new communication window at the corner of his helmet's HUD. She seemed very business-like. "Your team will guard this position. Yamada and Nimura will board Mara's Fox shuttle and return to Miharu to change armors. They should return shortly with Kurohoshi-Juni."

For all of Asher's brimming and misplaced optimism, this one time he was correct in his assumption. Having already sent the other two Santo-Hei nurses Azumi and Ayumu to attend to the smaller injuries in the hangar, and at the behest of Miharu's declaration of Masako's death, Sanjuro had returned to the Miharu's main medical facility and had begun the preparations for the armor commander's resurrection. The Chief Medical Officer was saddened by the action... but otherwise very happy to have such a distraction be placed upon him. The ability to use the Soul Transfer machine for an actual transfer also gave him a small bit of excitement.

To perform his duties on the move, the doctor had synced his datapad into the hemosynthetic tank system and was regularly checking the progress. Before long, Sanjuro was draining the hemosynth tank while running tertiary checks on the new bodies' status and integration from the Soul Transfer. Masako, new body fully formed and ST data returned, would find herself laying nude, curled in the bottom of the tank, which was now open. "Kurohoshi-Juni," Sanjuro's loud voice mixed oddly with his monotonous tone as he attempted to rouse Masako from her hibernation, his eyes still glued to the datapad in his hands. "Can you stand? How do you feel?"

Yukari looked away from Masako.

She was given a very swift work-up by Ayumu, who removed the largest shards of the main screen from Yukari's back before the nurse rushed to the hangar. The smaller pieces, of which there weren't many, had already fallen out.

By the time Masako was curled up whole in the hemosynth tube, Yukari was dressed and ready to see the young Juni off again into battle, if there was time. She stayed out of Sanjuro's way.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Asher's comment earned a fuming, enraged snarl from the still-incensed Tsuya. Her hands went to her rifle, but she restrained herself from actually shooting him.

"Westwood-hei, continue with that line of conversation and I will kill you, damn the penalties," the young armor pilot said through clenched teeth.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Nimura gave Tsuya's helmeted head an icy look. "Westwood-Hei does many things, but lethal threats directed to his allies is not one of them. To carry on your threats, Yamada-Hei, would be treason."

"Kurohoshi-Juni is here to eliminate all nekovalkyrja traitors. You do not want to become one of them."

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

What a familiar sensation. Her body felt lighter than usual. It was almost as if she were back in the PNUgen factory, just awakening to a brand new world. Her mind was dulled by the fresh sensations that hit her body. She felt--what was the word--wet. Yes, she was wet. Cloaked in the solutions that had birthed her--how long ago? The raven-haired Nekovalkyrja searched her newly transplanted memories. It was five years ago since she had been created. She was Kurohoshi Masako and the rank of Ittou Juni, the Armor Wing Leader of the YSS Miharu. Yes, everything was coming back to her as she heard a distant voice.

No, it wasn't distant. Looking up, she looked at a black-haired, green-eyed medical officer. Ah, it was Ashitaka-heisho. As her memories became more and more clear, the Warrant Officer's confused expression became harder and colder as she moved to sit on her haunches. It was slowly becoming clear to her. She had died. For the first time in her entire life, she had died in combat. She seemed calm, if not a bit too serious than usual for the young Neko. In fact, her expression seemed to slowly come to mirror Sanjuro's usual expressionless face...only there was a dangerous look in her eyes. "I am able to stand," Masako replied as she did so, amazingly calm for someone who had just died for the first time ever.

But that was just a shield for the torrent of rage that boiled underneath her calm exterior. Not the anger of her death, she always knew that her luck would run out eventually. No, it was anger that she had placed her subordinates in a rather nasty position. Glancing around, she saw Yukari. But she was fully dressed and didn't seem have have been reborn as Masako had. How were they taking her death? Had she inadvertently lowered morale? How had she died?

"Hinoto-shoi, report," Masako called up a volumetric window, her tone of voice could have been mistaken for a glacier with how cold she sounded.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Hinoto was busy, but Hoshi's CIES was as much privy to the events as it's avatar was, so the AI sent a telepathic message in the sprite's stead: "All enemy ships in the vicinity of Amaya's Gate have been destroyed. The Black Knights boarded the Gate and you ordered them to split up - an order I formally protested against: as field commander, you overruled me."

"Nakamura Team left the hangar, progressed with a main passageway until they had access to smaller utility corridors, and followed them to reach the power reactor chamber. The matter/anti-matter reactors was protected with starship-grade zesuaium armor and shielding. Nakamura-Heisho and his squadmates defeated three NH-18 and cleared the room of hostiles."

"Kurohoshi Team progressed to a similar path in the opposing segment and met the resistance of 12 nekomachina covering the retreat of nekovalkyrja technicians lead by an Eve youngling named Suzuran, whom displayed pyrokinetic abilities sufficient to counter multiple incendiary grenade attacks."

"This Suzuran lead her people out and closed a zesuaium blast door to cover their retreat. You left formation and raced through the aperture before it closed, separating yourself from the rest of your team to eliminate the NH-17T. Shortly after a confirmed kill, your Daisy suffered lethal damage to its helmet section from an unseen aggressor. Your power armor was subsequently self-destructed by remote to avoid the hardware from falling into enemy hands."

"After Yamada and Nimura-Hei cleared the nekomachina opposition, they were ordered back to the Hangar. A Black Mindy, presently assumed to be the one whom defeated you, ambushed them and dealt both their Daisy armors severe damage. Yamada-Hei fled, with Nimura-Hei covering her retreat."

"Nimura-Hei's combat capabilities proved inferior to the assailant and she sustained multiple wounds. Nimura-hei however lured the enemy back into the hangar, where Sigurd and the T4 Fox shuttle stood ready to assist. The enemy fled via teleportation before receiving extensive damage."

"The Black Knights were reconsolidated in the Hangar and are presently under Nakamura-Heisho's command," Hoshi concluded. "Kurohoshi Team is expected to reform aboard Hoshi's power armor bay before returning to the combat zone."

"Hai." the Heisho answered calmly. "Nimura, Yamada-hei. Board the shuttle at once and return to retrieve your backup armors and Kurohoshi-Juni. I will protect our position with Westwood-hei and Gunshin-hei until your return."

With that, Kai turned to the door that Kyou was guarding, looking out through it and wondering if there were any enemies watching them.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Asher snorted as Tsuya gave her threat, and broke into a chuckle as Nimura reprimanded her. He shook his head, refusing to look in her direction, mainly to keep his vigil over his door.

"Best not t'let ya emotions get tha' best of ya." Asher said bluntly, almost in a serious tone, "The moment y'start 'feelin' somethin' y'shouldn't in tha' fight, y'pretty much good as dead. Emotion's cloud y'judgement, make you make tha' poor choices, y'know?"

He shifted his stance, keeping his aim steady. The Armorer shrugged his shoulders for a moment and tilted his head, he was starting to get his edge again. The yearn for a fight.

"Y'soldiers, s'learn t'take it easy, and quit actin' like a buncha' civvies, or act like Nimura, and feel nothin'." He chuckled a bit, seeming to speak to everyone in that statement. Of course, such a grown up statement felt weird, coming from him, but it seemed he was coping with the stresses of battle much better than most people normally would.

"Nimura, Yamada-hei. Board the shuttle at once and return to retrieve your backup armors and Kurohoshi-Juni. I will protect our position with Westwood-hei and Gunshin-hei until your return."

Asher only popped his neck in response to that, still standing vigilant.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Nimura turned about and headed for the open hatch of the Fox shuttle to get seated.

"Come, Tsuya," Mara told the young, flustered nekovalkyrja. "We're off to get you to see the Juni and let you get a new Daisy in the process."

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Nyton drank in the sight of Hinoto in his arms. Every motion she made, her breathing, the shift in her chest, her lips, and then her hands. He wanted so desperately to feel her hands and arms around him. A more lewd portion of his mind wanted them around a certain region of his.

Like pain, the incessant whining from his cybernetics were nearly forgotten. He almost forgot that they were in the middle of a mission due to his new 'priority.' All contact between their bodies was like gasoline to the fire inside him and spreading hotter. His breathing remained even although still slightly labored. "I apologize, I don't mean to distract us from our mission. I just need a little more time to recover. I have never been assailed via psionics before." he said innocently.

With some 'effort' Nyton pulled a bit with his arms to appear that he was using her to help him up. Instead his true intent was to pull her with all of his strength to him. Hoping to unbalance her he would then hold her tightly to his chest and immediately roll over to place her under him. He did not want to crush and hurt her but he needed to keep her in place.

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

Nyton pressed her against him, but his attempt to get on top of her was defeated just shy of him going into a roll: the sprite's hand had gone to hold him in the back right where he had been wounded, and the tinge of pain had him stiffen in shock long enough for Hinoto's other hand to reach down and cup under the erect bulge between his legs.

Like an albino panther, she rose against him, her hand enticingly massaging at the base of his manhood. "You lie," she said, her warm breath touching his lips. Her steely eyes looked into his, and she struck him as unexpectedly sensual and aggressive. "You are still hurt. Let me be the one to please you. Isn't that what you really want?"

Re: Mission 5: Amaya's Gate

"I am not a child," Tsuya responded to Mara. Steam was nearly visible curling from the top of her helmet. She simply ignored Nimura and Asher as she climbed onto the shuttle.
