The explosion was just in time. Eucharis passed through where the shield bubble had been and did a flyby over the enemy base with her weapons pods blazing, focusing on anti-air defense stations. The area was filled with explosions and smoke and debris in an instant. The gunship then stopped dead in midair and rapidly spun around in place to face its port power armor bay door toward the base, from which Bravo Team could fire out it at enemy targets. Most of the enemy armors were doing the smart thing and scattering into the woods, abandoning their tanks and posts.

Ducking from the force and debris of the explosions, Hotaru whistled to herself, she was beginning to like demolitions. Looking around at the team, she felt a wave of relief as she saw they were all unharmed from the explosions due in no small part to Kurosora’s excellent handiwork with the explosives.

Seeing the Chusa’s signal to move out, Hotaru flipped off her weapon’s safety and checked the SLAG was loaded with HEI rounds. Looking over towards where Konoka was she saw that she was already moving, Hotaru followed behind.

Konoka noted Hotaru following her. She had renewed respect for Kurosora-hei in the fact that she'd made sure no-one went boom. She was glad everyone was OK. She flipped off her weapon's safety and double-checked it. OK, she was ready. Shed didn't like things going boom too much, but she happily embraced the situation.

She moved forward and waited for the next challenge to be thrown at her. Whatever it was, she was ready.

Kumiko got a call from the captain. "Kumiko, I need to you launch in the Golden Apple and pick up the prisoners immediately."

Hanako set down the phone, and darted out of the bridge leaving Blackberry to fly. She joined Nana and Blueberry in the armor bay, and the three armored nekos jumped from the ship into the base to join the fight. "Misaki, status report!"

Taking advantage of all the confusion and secondary explosions, Hotaru began taking aim and began selective firing, picking out her targets.

Overhead Hotaru heard more than saw the Eucharis making a sweep over the camp, taking out targets everywhere she fired.

Seeing several clumps of enemy armours rushing towards the treeline, she fired her SLAG and a HEI round flew in a parabolic arc before detonating just behind the group. Loading another round she fired again, knowing it was going to land within the group this time.

Taking advantage of but not liking the chaos, Konoka began taking aim and began some selective firing on a few noted targets.

She heard the Eucharis coming and felt both relieved and worried. She was relieved to have help, but worried because now MORE people might get hurt. She tried to pay perfect attention, to avoid any screw-ups. She really hated chaos, and believed controlled environments were always more helpful. However, that wasn't realistic.

As such, she began more firing. She might as welll get this done right.

Kumiko, now fully suited up and ready, got to the golden apple at a dead sprint, throwing herself into the pilot's seat. This should be interesting, she thought to herself. I'm not really used to one of these yet. However, her start-up of the systems went fine, and she prepared for liftoff, getting all systems up and running. Then she launched, and circled once quickly to get her bearings, then headed straight for the prisoners.

"Nana, Endoh-Hei isn't around to assist. I'm going to have to rely on you...think you can handle it?"

Yaichiro asked, readying himself for whatever tasks he might need to undertake to keep the ship from falling apart further.

"All but those present on your screens dead. The rest are combat ready." Misaki acknowledged, pulling the team into a more staggered approach that she relayed through their armours, expecting them to follow, and the Eucharis to avoid hitting them in the fire. She lit up any fleeing enemies as she could see them, and then flipped back and sent a new order. "Help clear the path for the shuttle."

"Eucharis, do we have her planned landing site yet? If they're abandoning their posts the prisoners might be an easy evac anyway. Suggesting we start the medical critical evacs first and prepare for wounded."

It wasn't how she wanted things to go, there would be a lot to review later but the mission was going better than it had the entire mucking, horrible trek through the jungle even if their cover had been blown the shield was down, and she could pick off targets fleeing with her beam cannons and not worry about what she hit as they went to the forest.

It was time to adapt, and press on.

"Acknowledged Chusa," Hotaru replied as she began switching targets to the possible flightpath the shuttle was to take. Since she was now shooting towards some of the base, Hotaru began being more selective in her shooting, switching to the LASR trying to make sure that very few stray shots hit any buildings.

Changing out her last SLAG magazine she started to use the LASR more, hitting armour before using the SLAG as insurance that the armour would stay down. Wondering where the shuttle was, Hotaru lost track of how many enemies she had encountered, even dispatched. Once the SLAG ammo was exhausted Hotaru would start using the ASP in addition to using the LASR.
