Location: Safety Valve Bar

Akemi walked into the bar and looked around. There were not many folks here so she made her way over to the bar. "I'd like a bottle of wine Black Wolf Freya, and some wings." She told the bartender. "Have them brought over to the table in the corner. Keep the change" she said placing a 20 KS note to cover the expense and walked over to her table of choice.

'This mission was quite the quandary. Her first time as Honcho and they run into pirates, the Poku Degonjo Saeruo. Not the nice easy recon mission that the Intelligence officer said it would be. No casualties, so that's a plus. Now we have three new crew members to integrate into the unit.' She thought while waiting for the food and wine.

The Safety Valve

Dressed in attire more suitable for off-duty relaxation, Marco had made his way to the Safety Valve. He still registered a few strange looks: some people wondering just what a 5' 11", tattooed, blonde-haired Nepleslian man with a guitar was doing wondering around the halls of their ship, and he was probably justifying a few Nepleslian stereotypes with the way he had gone around asking for somebody to point him in the direction of the Safety Valve. He was pretty sure that the kind young medic who had gave him the directions probably hadn't believed him when he had told her he was a pilot. More her loss, he felt. She'd just regret it when his name got plastered up as the newest addition to the Heitan's count of ace pilots. But the new pilot didn't stew on the apparent disbelief that he'd seen in that neko's eyes.

He'd been given orders - legal and binding from a superior officer no less - to report to the bar post-haste after his interview had been finished up. So after he'd gotten changed out into casual-wear, he'd grabbed his guitar, and had made his way for the bar. When he arrived he felt - remarkably over-dressed. Even if he didn't like the crime in Nepleslia, he couldn't say he was a fan of Yamataian fashion. Here he was in jeans, with an Aethersperm t-shirt, tattoos, and a false piercing in one ear. And he felt like he was walking from the pages of a Nepleslian punk fashion magazine onto the strip of a Yamataian club. Which - he kind of was. But he locked on the familiar and soon found his new CO sitting at a table. He gave her a wave and headed for the bar. With a smile, he addressed the bartender.

"Hey 'keep. Do you got some lager back there? I'd like a glass of it and maybe a tumbler of something strong to go with it." He set down the appropriate amount for the drinks.

While he would wait for his order, he headed for the table, and made himself comfortable. He set his guitar down nearby, out of the way of anybody else who might walk by.

He gave a half-salute from where he sat, "Ma'am. Pleasure meeting you here."

Akemi looked over her glass of wine as Marco approached, she noted the clothes that he had opted to wear. 'This is a casual event, but I wonder if he's dressed that way to stick out. Or if this is his fashion style.' she thought. She put the glass down and looked at him."Well, the squadron was split up on more than one mission. So I figured we would do an informal debriefing, while taking care of introductions and the like."

One of the staff brought walked over with a small tray with two items on it. The server placed a coaster down on the table then placed a large cold larger on it. He then placed a shot glass of Nepleslian whiskey next to it.

Akemi looked at his drink of choice. "Feel free to enjoy yourself, but remember that we are on watch tomorrow morning." she said with a smile.

Marco only grinned, taking a glass in either hand. He took a deep drink from the shot glass and quickly matched it with a much larger pull from the lager as a nice chaser. He grinned at her words and adjusted to make himself comfortable where he sat. A look around the bar showed that as far as he could tell there was nobody else was coming to the table. Maybe the rest of the unit hadn't shown up yet? That must have been it, he thought. Marco looked back to Akemi, still grinning.

"Oh don't worry about these, commander." He laughed, "I'd drink a couple of these and then go get my groceries in the morning. But don't worry, ma'am. I never drink and fly and I'll be ready to go come morning." His grin only grew, "I look forward to getting in the pilot's seat for real this time."

Which reminded him.

"Ma'am, I looked at the roster and I couldn't help but notice you put me in a two-seater. So who is going to be my EWO?"

Akemi watched the blonde Nepleslian as he drank his beverage of choice. She was familiar with the type, but chose to stick with her wine when drinking on board. She tried some of the harder stuff a few times when on shore leave. She did not like getting inebriated, and preferred to keep her wits about her.

She sipped her wine and noted that one of the wait staff was heading this way with a platter of wings. They put the platter down and placed a few small containers of dip. They also put a small stack of small plates She snagged two wings and put them on a plate. She then drizzled them with some ranch dressing.

"To be honest I do not know. The 2b is our standard craft, I sent a query about the availability of EWO's, once I get a response you will know. Help yourself to some wings."

Anne walked into the bar, she wore a tight fitting blue jeans and he black leather jacket. Around her neck was the green scarf she always wore, except when on mission, where it was swapped for a thin collar. The helashio looked around for the reason she was even here. When she noticed akemi, her bunny ears perked and she smiled. Stopping by a bar to get herself a glass of white wine, the ex-slave, now SAoY pilot walked to the table.

"Mistr- Madam Tamahagane, I am present." Anne reported to Akemi with a bow.

Location: Airlock

Alfsigr stepped into the airlock, her red hair done up in a pony tail and her blue eues bright with exitment then made sure her bags didn't block the doors. She then when to the panel and selected cycle as the lights flashed and the exterior door closed she looked around and got out her communicator and tried contacting Akemi to ask where to go, the outer door pneumatics engage then the airlocks pumped in atmosphere so she waited and spoke in her comunicator "Santô Juni Tamahagane are there, this is Santô Hei Alfsigr Uehashi reporting in, i wanted to know where you were because i need to introduce myself face to face" at the last three words her mood lightly changed and she muttered "oh god, please don't be a hand shaker".

Akemi watched as Anne approached, a small grin crossed her face watching the bunny ears bounce as she crossed the room. She returned the bow. "Good to see you Spinner, pull up a chair. How is your patient?"

Her communicator chimed, and she looked at it a bit puzzled. She sent a quick query to Hiromi. When she got the response she opened a channel and sent the following.

Alfsigr Uehashi-Santô Hei
Ask the Heitan's MEGAMI Hiromi for directions to your assigned cabin. Stow your bags and then join the Squadron and I down in the Safety Valve.

"All three are fine. Might I say it was a bit stressful, I would prefer cutting out an appendix or fitting in a cyber-prosthetic to this. Never been so nervous before." Anne replied as she sat at the table, sipping at her wine. "I only really knew theory about delivering children, up until know my medicine carrier was all about sewing and cutting. It was a remarkable though. I am just happy that both the mother and her boys are fine. I just hope to not do this in a run-down shuttle next time. By the way, where is Silic?"

Alfsigr smiles as the airlock pressurized and the inner door opened she exited, after she checked with Hiromi she walked towards an available room and packed her stuff away in her area then made her way to the Safety Valve with help from Hiromi.

She sighed when she got there, she disliked bars because normally they were overcrowded as she stepped through the thresh hold of the bar and looked around seeing there was only three people in there at the moment and walks over "umm who is Santô Juni Tamahagane?, i only know you by name at the moment"

Akemi smiled at Anne, "Well, we are the 2XF, always called upon to do things outside of our norms. I am glad that they are all doing well.
As for Silic, well you know he hates to show up on time. I am sure he will be along one he figures he's suitably late."

Akemi then looked at Alfsigr her face switching to a more business expression, "I am Tamahagane Akemi-Santô Juni, acting commander of the 2X-F21. And you would be?" she asked even though she knew from Hiromi who she was.

Alfsigr smiled "i am Santô Hei Alfsigr Uehashi" she saluted "i am sorry i was late getting here, i had to get Hiromi to help me", she looked around and then down "your new pilot", she kept her hands to her side not wanting to do anything wrong then she looked back up "i am glad to be here".

Marco smiled, "I'm assuming Sillic is a Nepleslian?" He didn't wait for an answer, "That would explain it. If you aren't a performer then its apparently the 'in' thing to be fashionably late. At least that's what I was always told when I was growing up."

The Nepleslian pilot continued to down the whiskey in daringly large gulps, while nursing the lager as a smooth chaser to help ease the burn. He didn't pay the fellow newcomer much mind at first. He'd rather the commanding officer deal with the initial introductions of all that business. Instead he looked to the Jôtô Hei who'd just arrived.

"Greetings, Jôtô Hei." He smiled and raised his glass as an alternative to a wave or handshake, "Pleasure to meet you. My name is Marco Weismuller. I've recently been assigned to the unit as a new pilot. I felt I should come to the bar, meet the rest of my new team."

"Well pull up a chair, and order something to drink and eat from the one of the waiters. I'm holding an informal debriefing, and using it as an opportunity for the senior and new members to get to know each other before we head out on our next mission." She then motioned to one of the waiters, "Kindly bring a large tray of ribs over, put it on my account." she said handing her personal KS card.

Alfsigr smiled and sat a bit of a way from the others then ordered a soft drink and double cheese burger happily and started to fiddle with things while she waited for her food, she didn't talk to the others there anymore she was too busy being hungry and wanted her burger to come as soon as possible.

The food items were brought over to the table, and Akemi looked at Marco. "Silic is a Nepleslian, a technician who can cobble up stuff and tweak an engine to give his pilot every ounce of thrust possible. On the downside, he doesn't seem to have a stomach for space travel. Or it could be just his pilot's flying. He may be a bit unorthodox, and seems to have trouble with the ladies. But Silic is a member of this squadron and when things hit the fan, he is dependable." She said then reached over to snag herself a rib which she put on the plate in front of her.

"Well, it seems that both of our groups had encounters with our newest allies, the Poku Saeruo Degonjo. What do you folks make of that?" she asked then took a bite of the meat on her rib.

Akemi waited a moment for anyone to speak, getting no response she resumed. "Well according to our Intelligence Officer Eika-Juni, she questioned the civilians that we brought back. It seems that the Pirates attacked a Clan cargo ship, left it for dead with survivors on it. The Fighting ship we encountered and another showed up about twelve hours after the Pirates returned. They attacked the structure and broke it into three sections. Then another ship arrived and collected the section we did not see when we arrived and left. Sounds like they really pissed off someone in the Poku Saeruo Degonjo."

Moments ago, in the bowels of the ship!

Silic sneezed, loudly. So loudly the entire dark empty room seemed to reverberate. In front of him was his, now slightly goey, hover skateboard, painstakingly troubleshooted since its unfortunate, painful, humiliating maiden run. Silic now had some confidence the ships AI could no longer hijack the throttle and drag him throughout the ship again. He still hadn't forgiven her for that.

He wiped his nose on a cuff and checked the time, what he saw made his eyes bulge.

"I'm late!" Quickly he through a sheet over his creation and hurried out, turning the lights out as he went.

At The Safety Valve Bar, right now!

"Did someone mention the Poku-people?" Came a deep, but friendly voice drawing nearer. "Nice folks, I guess. Except when they're shooting us. Can never remember the names though, strange that."

The voice trailed off as its owner appeared and saw the new arrivals to the squadron gather around the table. The latest to join the conversation didn't look like a man who'd had a hard life, most like one whom life had tried to maul to death, repeatedly, and had managed to crawl out intact bar some bits and pieces. Or even limbs, as the case of his cybernetic arm.

He wore a pair of dark sunglasses that hid his eyes, above them arched an eyebrow. A metal finger pointed and shifted from Alfsigr to Marco and back again.

"Who's the fresh meat?" he asked in a flat voice, deflated somewhat at seeing new faces.

"They are newest members of our wing Silic," Anne replied simply to the nepleslian mechanic, who was being blunt as usual. "We should do our best to learn to know them before we will have to go out there again. Why don't you get yourself a beer and sit down with us."

No sooner than Anne had suggested that Silic get a beer, one of the bar's wait staff came over. "A beer for you. Complements of the Santô Juni."

Akemi looked over at Silic. She was pleasantly surprised to see that he came in without having to be reminded. "Yes, Silic we were talking about the Poku Saeruo Degonjo. Seems that in addition to the group we met, that Solitaire and one of the new guys encountered some when they responded to a civilian distress call." She said, and then took a sip of her wine.
