Rather than relaxing, Yaichiro stayed on guard. Occasionally he'd telepathically check on the ship's repairs, request a check on the status of the prisoner, continue formulating a fire suppression system, and keep analyzing the video data that Sune had provided for clues and inconsistencies...the marvels of a digital brain weren't to be underestimated.

When he noticed Hanako kissing Konoka, his eyes widened in surprise ever so slightly, and he briefly found himself wondering what kind of party this would be. Of course, he shook such thoughts out of his mind. The Sakura's parties were legendary, but they hadn't survived onto the current ship. He did find it odd though...the first day he was on the Sakura, there'd been a party too...was it a sign of things to come, or a coincidence?

The officer glanced at his datapad, not really unwinding like the others -- partly because it wasn't as in his nature, but also because he felt he hadn't earned it like the others present.

Sune cringed at the suggestion of a game, recalling the last such game in which he had to endure wearing make up.

"How about some lively music, perhaps something along the lines of what was being played on Hanako's world when we were all there for YE 31 New Years, something that people can dance to and lose themselves in the music?" he suggested to those present. The idea actually appealed to him letting himself be carried by the trance tones to temporary respite.

"Mmm, I would not mind losing myself in dancing the night away," Hanako nodded, downing her glass and then shooting up from the chair. "To be honest I am a little emotional and I feel like I need to have some fun and I intend to dull my nerves with some alcohol."

The captain took a deep breath and then began to dance.

Sune took another drink from his wine glass, slightly larger than the first. Then put the glass down on the table, and got up.

"Tonight, I plan to celebrate being alive. There will be time for grieving and duty in the morning." he said as he found himself a spot on the floor and started dancing. Sune knew he could throw off the affects of the trance dancing easily, but for the moment it was easier to just let the music wash him away.

"Hmm." Konoka mused. Pondering she added, "Alive is always a very...good thing to keep up." Especially, she thought to herself, since I only recently stopped being deceased. As such, Konoka figured this counted as her usual activity of "assist crew well-being". After all, "being" was more than "being alive". Time to be "more" , then.

Of course, Konoka would not completely lose herself. Someone had to stay sharp for everyone else's sake. Stars knew, "being well" was usually karmically followed by "threats to well being". Still, konoka had always loved celebration and song. Almost as much as she hated sorrow and death. Balance was indeed needed, was to be Konoka's only conclusion.

So with a twirl of acceptance, she hummed along....to the tide of whatever was next in this great old Eucharis song.

A song with no farewell, Miyzawa, if you make it so. she reminded herself. There had been too mnay farewells, of late, anyway.

"Time to celebrate, then!" she announced.

And thus, for this part of time's plan, spun, unable to spin out of it all.
A familiar tune was what she hummed. Wordless, but familiar: something like that was just as strange as hope itself.

Whoever she was spining toward, of course, she hope she wouldn't fall into them.

"waaa..."

Oh well. that was that.

Takeyu shrugged mentally; he was a bit nervous to dance since he never really did it in the company of others. That, and the dance he knew was mostly related to his martial arts skills, not at all related to any other relaxation.

"Might as well," he muttered to himself, found an area of the floor not taken and he then started dancing, fluidly, and with some form of grace. He lost himself in the music, it was soothing, calming, and it made him forget, at least for now, the experiences he's had. Of course, being lost also meant he couldn't tell if anyone was going to bump into him.....

Yaichiro did not take alcohol nor let the music's effects alter his perceptions. He had not fully gotten over his lack of a party impulse, evidently, and the attack on New Year's Day of YE 30 certainly cemented him against that.

There was that and the fact that the Captain and Exec were now under the effects of alcohol. Someone had to be ready for a combat situation if an emergency occurred, and though he was rusty, Yaichiro had that rank even if he was merely an adviser on paper.

As he took a seat and watched the others start to enjoy the party, a glass of water in his hand, he quietly pondered how long it'd take for the Taisa to flush the alcohol from her system if something bad happened. At least he looked slightly more at ease than he had when first assigned to the Sakura.

Junko slipped quietly into the wardroom, trying not to call attention to her tardiness. There appeared to be some music and dancing, but she wouldn't be willingly participating in that; more specifically she wouldn't willingly embarrass herself in that way. Instead, she took the nearest available seat and tried to relax. It was nice to be in the presence of her shipmates without the typical looming spectre of duty or a problem effecting mission performance. Closing her eyes briefly, she melted into the seat. A moment later, feeling much more at ease, she stood back up and made her way over to Yaichiro. “Not one for dancing, sir?” she asked quietly as she settled down into a chair next to him.

After dancing to one of the songs being played, Sune returned to the couch he had been sitting on previously. From here he could watch the activities of the crew. He wanted to remember this moment seeing them relaxed and enjoying themselves.
