Sacre nodded, following Gravity out of the Wardroom. She smiled amusedly at the Captain's predicament. Sacre thought no one could see it, but Hoshi caught a glimpse of the rare phenomena. Sacre made her way through the ship, and as Gravity made her announcement, she happened to be passing the galley. A wicked idea struck her, she might not do it normally, or if she had to go out of her way, but being with Gravity had made her more impulsive. She slipped into the Galley and retrieved the small bag of peanuts she remembered seeing there earlier.

She finished making her way to the Powered Armor bay. She held the bag of contraband so that no one could see it as she stripped and stepped into her Mindy. Once she was done, she stood in a corner. She started flicking them at the heads of random members of the crew. "I hope you are enjoying your flight on Space Kaiyo. We will be arriving at our destination of the universe of crazy doubles entirely too soon. The weather forecast is raining bullets with a chance of aether sunshine." She said in a mock flight attendant voice.

With a swift hand movement, Kyoi caught the peanut flicked at her, crushing it in between the fingers of her power armor.

“Oh.” she stated. “Hm. I...did that.”

Reflex test: Successful. It appears no systems have been compromised as a result of the anomalous behavior. Very well; proceed with operation normally.

The little fox blinked once, twice in her power armor. What was happening to her, anyways? Mental note: Visit Traumapatcher Care post-mission, posthaste, or a suitably qualified psychological expert. Data recorded.

There it goes again, the thoughts that felt more machine than, well, organic. A cold shudder ran through her body. How deep-rooted was this problem?

This unit is experiencing fear- STOP.

Good. Exhale. Relax.

Alstair got the message he was to provide over watch support for the away team. He had already called ahead the changes he wanted made to his load out from the mission before. Knowing the foe they would be facing he called in a few more changes. He figured it was best to have a few tricks at the ready.

"Warm up you say. Sounds like a good idea to be sure we are at the ready. Double check that gear and make sure its working right. Review your load out as it might be wise to change something. If our enemy has been doing homework they will know our standard setup."

Alastair quickly suited up and started to run down his list of systems. The chain was attached to his arm as per usual. He made a point this time to attached his Aether Beam Saber-Rifle.

Wyatt was flicking through the systems of his hew helmet when the sensors contained within it's cyclopean eye began tracking somewhat-slow targets flying around the room, the minkan brought up a hand instinctively to block it and heard the soft thunk as it hit his forearm. The marksman lowered his arm and closed his hand around the item as it fell, he brought the hand up and opened the palm to inspect whatever it had been.

A... peanut?

Wyatt tilted his hand and let the peanut roll out of it, crushing it under his boot once it fell to the ground - at least she didn't decide to start throwing knives around. The round visor began sweeping around the room and stopped suddenly, the marksman tilted his head to the side when he saw Alastair's anchor - he could get the point of a flail with a heavy piercing point but it surprised him that an archaic tool such as an anchor was being used opposed to some specialised part that was fabricated.

He looked down at the revolver mounted to each forearm, he wasn't one to judge unorthodox weapon choices.

Mikael arrived into the power armor bay shortly after the others after he initiated his great game of passing the money. He just chocked his head to the side for the the moment while he looked at his larger than normal Mindy. He was glad that they finally made these, using a daisy in space was just awkward. He then checked to make sure his sniper loadout he picked before hand was properly installed.

Content, he proceeded to strip down into his blue SAoY issued boxer briefs and slid into his racked unit. Once his helmet was secured, he proceeded with a number of pre-flight checks with the armor's operating system. It was briefly disrupted when he heard the click of a peanut shell hitting his helmet's visor. He traced the path of the item to Sacre. His opaque visor just stared her down for a minute before he resumed his checks looking at Kyoi.

Once finshed, he was clank over towards her.

"Status report Kiseki-Hei." He would say to her over a dedicated communication frequency.

Harrison enters into the Power armor bay. He is wearing the uniform provided for him. Today was the first day in the military and he felt great entering onto the YSS Kaiyo. When Harrison walked in, he had his pendant underneath of his shirts, just in case it was not allowed. He began to walk around the bay. Looking for some instructions on what he needs to be doing. Since they did not clarify when he signed up earlier.

"Affirmative," Chlorate said with a beep. She clanked away, entering the zero gravity passage way to go to the bridge. Her white hair stood in the lack of gravity. She was actually a little worried, a little disappointed in herself- she hadn't technically done what Hoshi had asked- would she be in trouble? Was Hoshi going to be mad at her? Oh no... this is bad... What would be considered to be nothing by anyone else was seen as an error on her part by the robot. She also, meanwhile, had something else on her digital mind...

Ward Room
Kikios entered the zero gravity passage way to go to lower engineering. She too had the same thing on her mind as Chlorate- what Mark had told them before the mission. Her hair floated upwards, lifted into the air much like her "crest" usually is. She looked up and saw the gynoid rising above her. She wondered how the robot felt, knowing that her organic father might be in some serious trouble right now couldn't be any good for her.

“All systems nominal.” the other SAINT replied. “I’m ready for the jump.”

“We both appear to be utilizing the same primary weapon. Predicted strategem: Eliminate high-threat targets such as heavy infantry.” she continued. “I hope I’m correct.”

Speech pattern shifts. Odd. Perhaps the mind is flawed to the core, requiring a clean wipe. That’s out of the option, however. She’d need to find help...by herself if she had to.

Mochi nodded as Hoshi issued the order to the two Elysians, untangling himself from the smaller of their pair as she did. "Hai, Hoshi-chusa." The science officer confirmed concisely, having slipped into the mindset all were required to take on missions. After all, this was a jump into unknown territory at the heart of it.

His heels clicked a little on the stairs as he made his way over to the XO's seat, brushing an armrest carefully and waiting for a moment before he sat down. Normally when he was on the Bridge, he sat one seat across from this in the science seat, with Eden on his left. This time it appeared it would be a little different, circumstance calls.

Slipping down, he could sense the lingering scent of Eden's perfume around the station, not a bad aspect of the assignment. "Buckled in and ready. There should be no huge changes of physics across the universes, so we should be set to go without compensation for that." Sein fluttered his fingers across the keyboard and screen, an overview of the away team and ship flickering to life. He was tempted to check that Arbs was safely strapped in but she knew how to handle herself and would probably scold him for fussing too much.

"Correct, though I would like you to emphasize more on anti-personnel in our 2 man team. If need be, we can always exchange weapons. It is always good to be versatile in situations where you have no firm information." Mikael would reply back upon noticing she that. Unless they were going against a large number of heavy armor, two of them was not needed. Two likely would also draw more attention to them if they are sighted.

The little Arble chuckled warmly at the mentioning of a "nest". It wasn't far from the truth - she had a tendency to pile up pillows and blankets in the strangest of fashions, one time even making an actual pillow fort! That happened mostly in a bed though, not near any sort of workplace; she tended to take things a little bit more seriously - just a blanket would do.

...Except she didn't bring a blanket to the bridge. Darn. Maybe another time, then. Arble leaned against Sein ashe rubbed her back lightly, pausing the two for a couple seconds on their way through. She said, "Good! I don't wanna be away from you, sweetie..." Her eyes twinkled prettily as she took a deep breath of the cooled air from the bridge, folding her hands neatly before her belly as Mochi escorted her inside and towards her seat. To the neko Captain, Arbls politely responded, "Thank you, Chusa. I am sure I will be alright for the time being, but knowing the options I have is very helpful."

The harness for her seat clicked sharply and in a satisfying way as she buckled it up, taking extra care to make sure it was supporting her fruitful womb properly.

Arete shot a bit of an odd look to Walter. Sure he had a bit of a... Grudge against this enemy, but that was a bit much in terms of firepower. Even though she herself was packing explosive gauss rounds designed to work as direct and indirect fire. But still, at least they didn't make her look like she was compensating for something...

Despite his enhanced reflexes, Walter wasn't all there until Sacre nailed his forehead with a peanut. He didn't really appreciate the snakewoman lightening the mood, not when there's Imperials involved.

Now where was he... Right, of course, him and his surplus of weapons. Absolute overkill. This was the only way to beat another of his own kind, so they won't think twice to stay away from this dimension. Yet, in hindsight, what does this actually do for him? What is he trying to answer with his way of fighting, that sheer domination through military might is the only way, that guns and weapons are among the many symbols of hope?

Walter looked at the Aether Gatling Rifles, each suspended mid-air with the help of his custom floating gauntlets, and then his grenade launcher; the technician gave this some thought, whille looking at those around him. Not everyone is bound to take this as serious as he was, even in the context of this mission. Yes, he had a vendetta against the Mirrorverse as a whole, but how long as it been since he last seen them? Why would anyone care about some moody, musclebound engineer, if all he amounted to was just some meathead with six guns of massive destruction? The only loss would just be a broken promise to himself that he'd be different, for himself and others around him. No secrets, no succumbing to overwhelming violence, and priotizing fixing what has been broken over all else. He can't stray from that promise he made last mission.

The weird look that Arete gave him only pushed him to go back on what he was doing. Yare yare daze... Walter had his eight floating gauntlets put away rifles as he also set aside his two grenade launchers. Following that, he also replaced the fusion generator with his good ol' Fabricator. He resolved to not go that conventional route. No guns, no blades. His NSBs, his comet-themed gauntlets, his Blacksmith toolkit, and his Fabricator module are everything he will be using for this mission. Perhaps even every other mission afterwards, although this Minkan isn't getting his hopes up just yet; this is only his fourth mission, fifth mission? His loadout is still prone to change, after all.

Naturally, he gravitated to Arete, now lacking a considerable majority of his firepower. "So we'll be visiting my old place after all; you excited?" His tone was positive and calm, as if he was looking forward to this mission.

YSS Kaiyo - Bridge

Mere seconds after Hoshi had called for Nerai'tha to come over, the tardy snake slipped through the opening blast doors of the bridge. Having quickly stopped by her quarters to drop off her brand new type 33c which she retrieved with a courtly bow, before heading off to the bridge.

The IYS Kaiyo..... now she finally knew what that top-secret mission was that partook just before she was transferred here. One that Abart had witnessed firsthand, but was never allowed to talk about. Now that the gig was up, she was sure to ask him about it later, as she had no doubt there were stories he'd be dying to tell...

"Theisillis-Heisho on bridge, reporting for duty." With a quick slip down the stairs she took her place behind her console, passing a quick glance at the tubby cherrybird across the room. Those bright pink coloured wings were hard to miss, and admittedly the way the vertically diminished elysian walked around slightly akwardly was plain adorable. She couldn't help herself, passing a quick wave and a giggle in Arbs's direction.

PA-Armory

"Heck..... i never would've expected seeing those people again..... This one's gonna be a tough one....." Abart mumbled to no-one in particular. While the month-long mission way back in the alternate universe had it's upsides here and there, most of them involving a certain cyan coloured neko, overall the experience wast one Abart held dear.

The IYS crew were to be treated as extremely hostile..... and rightfully so. While the details weren't clear, he remembered them being far more imperialistic in doctorine, clinging to some kind of minkan/neko supremacist regime. Of course Abart's counterpart was no exception. Seeing a splitting image of his own standing in front of him was bizarre to say the least, but at least he would be easier to differentiate.

Still..... with how the IYS people think of "aliens", he and Sacre would undoubtedly be prime targets, even moreso than the Elysians, as the snakes' shape could be considered far more "monstrous" to the enemy. That thought alone made this battle far more personal than he'd like... The thought of he, Nerai, sacre and the others being hunted down like wild game was not something he would let happen. Period.

Though that was easier said than done. As they'd seen before, the IYS's technology is just as potent, if not even moreso than theirs. Simply running and gunning isn't going to cut it for this mission. Sure, the ALL woukld be a great help in this regard, but even then there's only so much a nigh-omnipotent race can do, as ironic as it sounds.

Right now was a moment where they would have to let their strong points shine. The things thate made each of them unique, the things the clean cut, imperialistic ranks of Eve did not have. As Eden had said, their comradery is stronger than it has ever been especially now with many old faces returning to the kaiyo once more.

The complimentary NSP was a neat gift, one that he gratefully retrieved. Seeing as it's now is own personal property and a more basic version of the duty NSP, it meant it was comletely open to customizing. Firearms decorating was something he hadn't gotten the chance to dabble in before, and since he hadn't dome nuch crafting work lately, this was a nice opportunity.

"Right. No home field advantage this time. Better focus fire around their heads to stagger them as much as possible. We don't want them using their fancy tricks on us again. Those buggers seriously get under my scales..."

All suited up and ready to go, Abart's mindy as mostly devoid of photonic markings, save for the iconic Hinomaru adorning his whole right shoulder, his green Jôtô-Hei bars on the left, and a little black and yellow striped line across his right cheek.

Coconut had been present in the briefing, having sat somewhere near the middle of the crowd, but had opted out of collecting the free NSP. She felt that, having just joined the ship, she did not deserve one, nor did she need one as she had a pair of compact pistols for self defense already. Presently, she made her way toward the Mindy IV power armor that had been assigned to her upon transferring to the ship, and decided to look over the unit thoroughly. She had read most of the tech data, and come to realize that despite her skill at maintenance, she wanted no part of any work done on one of these units. Much more complex and less modifiable than the Daisy II she was used to working with, the dilute calico Neko examined this new unit- it was much sleeker, more compact, and much more technologically advanced than the simple, basic, rugged, and easy to work with ground armor that was the Daisy II.

"Perhaps it will grow on me," she stated quietly, though she doubted that- having been born a groundpounder, she had gotten used to her old 'ride' as it were. That, and some of the third party accessories she had gotten used to were no longer available here, as they hadn't seen much use beyond the Fifth fleet. "Regardless, this will be a learning experience," she said, again, to no one in particular. Without much further ado, the relatively tall Neko opened up her armor and began to inspect the interior, while she took the jacket off of her Type 35 duty uniform- another piece of 'equipment' she had grown unaccustomed to, as her home unit had switched to the type 37 as soon as it had come out, and never looked back.

With the jacket came her skirt, as well as the tights and shoes, all of which were neatly folded and placed in a cubbyhole before Coconut slipped into the armor, wearing only the undershirt and underpants that were part of her uniform. She donned the suit, and checked it over donning the helmet and starting up its systems. It was, of course, just like Piloting the Daisy II- one of the few features that carried over from her preferred suit being the lack of a bare hemosynthetic insert but rather one with a synthetic liner that made the suit more comfortable to wear. Startups finished, the olive-skinned Neko looked around, realizing that a starship's power armor bay wasn't exactly the same as a ground shelter or other type of staging area she was used to.

"Hrmm... Where do I pick out my weapons?" she asked, this time aloud, though she hadn't chosen anyone in particular to direct the question toward.

Sacre saw the looks of annoyance on the faces of her fellow crew members at her little thing. She kept an impassive face, like she had meant to do it. However, a part of her that she had never really known existed felt hurt in a way she couldn't explain. She noticed a calico Neko who seemed to be at a loss for what was happening. 'Calico was an unusual pattern for a Neko,' Sacre thought as she headed towards Coconut to do her job as an Ittô Heisho.

As she slid over to the Neko, she started to come up with a nice creative way to insult the Neko. Probably something along the lines of her being a mutt with low intelligence. Perhaps add something sexual in there as well. However, her recent conversation with Eden came to her mind, so she decided to forgo the pleasentries. A good insult was an artform. She looked at the new Neko's name on her hud before speaking.

"Coconut-Hei, are you having trouble with your Mindy?" Sacre asked severely. She pointed to the door that connected the powered armor bay to the armory. "If you need equipment, the Armory is through that door. Can I be assured you'll be done before we have to drop?" Sacre asked seriously.

Wyatt continued marching around the power armour bay with measured strides, making sure the barrel of the weapon resting over his shoulder didn't accidentally whack into any crew-mates when he turned. The sight of an armoured Separa'Shan that was not the sassy medic came into view - this wouldn't mean anything to the marksman normally but he noticed something on the cheek of the serpent's suit, something obviously not intended to be there for it had no purpose.

Right?

It seemed somebody had affixed some kind of decal to the suit, Wyatt understood the rank being displayed but not why somebody would mark another person’s suit in this way so he wandered across to the snake-person and tried to figure out how to pronounce the name his hud showed. He gave up in the end and resulted to just calling him by the part that the minkan could pronounce.

"Abart is it?" Wyatt queried, hoping he had not butchered the fellow Joto-Hei's name too much. "It seems somebody has stuck something to your helmet," he informed the snake in a quite serious-sounding tone, raising his free hand to point at the yellow and black striped line.

Coconut eyed the Separa'Shan as she rather rudely gave her instructions, though she could have done without the first comment. The snake-like woman would luckily not see the somewhat dirty look being given her, before the olive-skinned Neko responded.

"I'm having no trouble with the armor, just mentally highlighting the differences between it and the Daisy II that I'm used to. Thank you for locating the armory for me, on a ground deployment everything is laid out differently, so I'll have to learn my way around." Coconut gave the medic a small wave before making her way to the armory in order to pick out some weaponry that was at least similar to what she was familiar with.

Her first choice was a pair of thigh-mounted mini-missile launchers, containing multifunction avoidance missiles. Next she opted for a pair of shoulder-mounted Mini-missile pods, which had shield and armor piercing mini-missiles. Finally, she picked up a shiny new LATR, and while the shiny exterior made her balk, and the hefty weight of the unit was a little more than the weapon she was used to using, it was the closest thing she could find and was comparable in effectiveness. satisfied with her loadout, the Neko made her way back into the power armor bay and, finding a spot to sit down comfortably, Waited for her next instructions.

When Chlorate entered the bridge, Hoshi settled into her chair and was careful to let her officer's katana loosely fall between the cracks around the armrest, looking pleased.

Hoshi's voice came out as hopeful as she said, "Pray Yui can help those that seek to depose us from our position in this multi-verse."

Eden didn't need to play referee and kept her back turned on the peanut proceedings as her volumetrically displayed clothing stayed on, making her look like she was getting into her Mindy with rank pins and all. She was waiting for Alastair's exercise to begin as she crawled into a loadout that was typical for her. It was one that heavily relied on the Mindy's in-built hard light projection. The photonics array would be as effective as monomolecular Zesuaium swords.

Mark made his way to the bay and quickly suites up. He was using the usual loadout, but this time with a photonic array. If he was going to be facing alternates, He needed to be the man he used to be. To execute foes without question, even if they looked like his loved ones. He gave a sigh as he stripped and climbed in, once again thankful for the armor hiding his aberrerated body.

Mark linked to the suit and felt the deck beneath his feet and his weapons in their places. With a flex of the mind, he switched on the photonic array and shifted the colors of his armor holographically. Black with red markings replaced in appearance the steel and blue of the Mindy 4. An enlarged hinomura on each shoulder and on the center of his shield, dominating its center. Yes now he looked like the bringer of death he once was.

In all hope the IYS crew would hesitate at the sight, allowing swift kills. He would be one of the many descending blades that were the kaiyo crew, quickly bringing the enemies end.

He made sure the team and Eden knew he was good to go. He looked about and stopped when he saw Harrison.

"Why aren't you in your Mindy?", He said monotonely after approaching the man.

Harrison quickly turned to see Mark in his power armor and gave a slightly nervous smile, then said, “Well Sir... this is my first day in. I’m sorry to be a burden as of right now, but I would like to know what it is I’m supposed to be doing right now. They didn’t really inform me when I signed up.”

Harrison scratched the back of his head. He didn’t quite like the awkward situation he was in. However, he was trying to get onto the right path so he could start what it is he needed to be doing.
