Makes you kind of wonder at the title, doesn't it?

Let me start off by saying 'The Professionals' is actually a nickname of a brand new squad being formed within the police force of Nepleslia. Not just any old regular squad of officers however, allow me to introduce to you the brand new Designated Tactical Response teams of Nepleslia. Basically, it's the SWAT team Nepleslia has always needed and will now have.

DTR teams were created solely to handle high risk operations that are too much for regular officers to handle and too little for the Golem armor to be authorized; they are an all-purpose high risk response team that responds to high risk situations. These situations include:
-Hostage Rescue
-High Risk Warrants
-Terrorism Related Events
-Explosive Ordnance Disposal
-VIP Protection and Escort
-Tactical Aerial Insertions
-Counter-Sniper Operations

This plot will follow a squad of first generation DTRs led by a former Nepleslian Marine turned cop nearing his four-ties. Handpicked by the Senior Sergeant himself, they will serve as the high risk responders that Nepleslia has needed for a long time to combat the rampant and well armed crime happening around Funky City. Though however, they'll soon find out they're in for something much bigger, something that involves some blood sacrifices and some very big booms, all masterminded by some mysterious and obviously deranged individually who has developed a rather large following in the underground.

Player characters within this plot will be outfitted with brand new stuff ranging from a new carbine, a nearly full body armor suit, a grenade launcher, and even an under-barrel taser that fires 50,000 volts per charge. Plenty more equipment and toys are in the works and some are already finished.

Character wise, I'm going to give the you the freedom to create any type of policeman (or woman) you want. However, there is a restriction of how high your rank may be. I can't have officers higher than the Senior Sergeant, so I'm actually going to need to limit it down to Field Officer Grade 2 at most. Promotions can be rewarded at the end of each episode if I think it is needed. Field Officer Grade 2's however will be restricted only to players who do not have a special role within the squad. These roles are specified under. Got to buff the normies too right?

Since it is an all purpose high risk team, there are special roles that can be taken such as:

-Ordnance Expert (EOD, grenade launcher, etc.) - Sebasti Ivanovsky
-Designated Marksman (Mid to long range specialization) - OPEN
-Assaultman (Short range specialization, breacher) - SirSPT
-Field Medic (Gives bandaids) - falconsfan08
-General Technician (Operates advanced equipment such as drones) - OPEN

All spots are first come first served. Keep in mind that even if you do have a specialization, everyone is a rifleman first. Everyone else who does not have a special role can be delegated the position pointman or shield depending on the situation and will also be allowed to have the rank of Field Officer Grade 2 at the start of the plot. I also have a max capacity of 8 players with a minimum requirement of 4-5 to start. I can however made an exception and add another player for a total of 9 if I see fit.

That's about it, I'll have the wikis up and running sometime in the future for the full rundown of DTR teams, role and purpose, new equipment, and the plot wiki itself.

I told myself I wouldn't get involved in another plot. I had a nice plots to be in already and any more would probably be a sign that I have too much free time.

I was wrong.

I'll see if can get a character out for this over the next several days or so.
 
Well crap, I said I wouldn't join another plot but I'm interested.. Maybe if there is still a spot later on I'll join.

@HotelKilo @SirSPT If you plan on creating a character with a specialized role, I'd like to know which role exactly since there is only one position per role available.
 
The DTR backround wiki page has been created! This should enable you to find out more about the DTR and what makes them tick. It still is very unofficial and I am still in the process of creating wikis for the equipment. Everything is still being processed and I will at some point submit everything to the NTSE.
 
Everything looks good to me, although within the strategy portion of your character's skills would need a slight edit. Since DTR recruits are required to go through additional training that would give her more in depth knowledge of things ranging from CQB to breach & entry to formation tactics, you could just mention that she underwent additional training for DTR and has further knowledge.
 
The plot wiki page has been created, and as soon as we get the minimum amount of players to go, I'll create the OOC thread and actual RP thread shortly after. The plot wiki has information on where the plot is located, what precinct, info on the NPCs, etc.

Only info on the NCO squad leader is available because I feel he will be the one you guys will interact with the most since he is kind of the squad leader. The support team NPCs will probably have their own backstory at some point.

Also, the plot page will eventually have links to each individual equipment wiki.

I'd be glad to help you with character creation. If you can create the wiki page for your character, I can go over it if you want and give you feedback. You can use the other two characters created by SirSPT and HotelKilo as an example. You can also use one of my characters I use for RP in the bounty hunters plot as an example as well.
