Interest Check Nepleslian Fleet Based Plot

Basically in short, we would be acting as a fleet with each player representing a ship in a force. They are going to range in class depending on how much you can handle detail wise (Smaller ships for new people and Larger for people who feel experienced.). Each person could create a character that would represent the ship so that way we are not alienating the humanities aspect of the plot. Better to make it look more human and realistic IMO.

Just wanted to see if this would generate any hype enough to try and push it forward and spinning.

NSS Vanguard : Primus Class Battleship -GM

NSS Sentinel : Primus Class Battleship -GM

Escorts and Other vessels wanted! Battleships above are the Flagship's guards. I need muh fleet so gather your hype ammunition and put a note down below if your interested.

I figure it'd be better to start everyone and everything small since a new fleet ain't cheap.
 
Flagship would probably be the whale with hypothetical guppies as escorts. I was thinking cruisers as max size.
 
Someone's got to ask the obvious: What's the plot going to actually be about? I mean, for years now it seems like the Nepleslian Navy has very little to do. The Mishhu War ended almost 4 years ago. The Reds/Empire of Nepleslia was defeated long ago and has no ships to fight. The Kuvexian War is a Yamatai thing. And Yamatai's been rather nice to Nepleslia for several years now. There's a couple new factions around like the Ersetu but none of them seem to have any beef with Nepleslia. So who's going to be the antagonist here? Who would be bold enough to attack Nepleslia? Especially when the Lorath haven't actually managed to leave the setting yet and are still DATASS members.
 
It could very easily be Nepleslian wargames to start. Last I checked, there were fleets undergoing repairs in numbers and command structure. Using that logic, there will be plenty of them or even new fleets using simulations and "live" firefights while undergoing build-up/formation. Beyond that, however, there is obviously the fact that there's a new push to sorta have some internal turmoil present in Nepleslia. The 309th's BRR, for example, could be only one of many new militant groups/rebellions that could show up. Would they be fitting for the ENTIRE Nepleslian navy? No. Smaller fleets with a focus on mobility and quick response? I could see it.

Atop that, I recall Cadet's people are supposedly going to be an NPC antagonist option for Nepleslia later. Might be wrong since I don't really remember the talk that happened around them, but there's a few NPC antagonists factions to present formidable threats to a smaller strikeforce rather than the full-blown fleets they'd likely keep in reserves/high alert for more serious scuffles. Just my two cents, though, since I had a similar issue with a ground-forces focused plot. It's simply a matter of the GM stringing together threat chains and playing the plot's available resources to their strengths.
 
Can I get a message from the people who are interested definitely? If I break enough I'll go draft a page or two for the Plot then ask Gunhand for stuff. I hope you like stuff Gunny.
 
I'll allow this concession, Carrier is authorized. Now you get the option of naming the vessel or submitting to my terrible names. I suggest you go with the former unless you want something dull. Now, I'm lifting the remarks about ship sizes and regulating all further player vessels to Cruisers and Below.

I'd be down to command an Atlas or a Hray, since there's already going to be both kinds of small carriers. That cool with you, Hamm?
