NH-28 Restraint Methods, Devices, and Reprogramming

If this is approved, I would love to RP a subject being under this treatment... it seems to me like it would be a learning experience.

...Perhaps Star Army's black ops could acquire one and attempt to use it under lock and key?

((SIDE NOTE: Tomoe, your new character seems unusually interested in... restraining... Nekovalkyrja.))

Well, I think you might still be taking the NH-28 a bit lightly even with that text, but Wes would really be the best one to judge. Still, it's a nice attempt to make something similar to the SAINT "How to kill a neko" manual.

After that, what's next? Nekovalkyrja Dry Cough syrup?

It's a beautiful tech submission with a lot of thought in it, but I don't know if it's comprehensive.

Here's one possible oversight: 1) The NH-28 carries an aether generator inside her, which can be overloaded to self destruct her. 2) The NH-28 has no fear of death, but isprogrammed not to allow itself to be captured.

-Finger snap.- Thats what I forgot, the aether generator, thank you for reminding me.

Fixed, added countermeasures.

Also don't forget the NH-28 doesn't need to be just one single unit. It has the metamorphic capabilities of the NH-18 to some extent (it just doesn't use them because it's not advantageous to its composition) and can generate a lot of weapons on need, including nodal support bits.

This makes it quite deadly to platoon of infantry and also confirms that the NIWS likely has a CFS unit of somesort to charge them (and propel itself in space).

I can confirm this as well.

A CFS system means the NIWS can flashfry/microwave-cook anything that gets in a 2 meter radius if it wants. This is bad.

Wouldn't it be simplier to just blow the NIWS up and "break" the humans/nekos on the ship instead? It seems like a lot of trouble to go through to try to humanize an NH-28 and then pervert her. I mean, isn't giving someone free will and then holding them in captivity counterinuitive? I don't think that after humanizing a robot such as this that you could ever trust them 100% due to human unreliableness.

I think he's putting so much effort into it. For one simple reason

1- Nekos have never been captured or restrained (alive) by anything except seraphs and mishhu. both of whom were specifically created to destroy them. Try researching someone those species Tomoe ^.~

I'm sure we could, if we looked hard enough, find some example of nekos being captured. Remeber the Elysian-controlled space station?

I think we could but that's elysian-seraph. let's see nepleslians capturing them alive without dying and without having the neko go boom and without seducing them

There was an Elysian-controlled space station that someone visited back int he very early SARP - I think it was Chiharu and Hiso Iseki on the way back from captivity but I'm not sure. It's been five years. I remember there were neko pimps and hos there.

The task of changing a NH-28 is one of multiple reasons;

1: Due to the Black Spiral's control of at least one NH-28 unit, such a procedure may be put into use.

2: In case of enemy capture of an inactive NH-28 unit, which is then put into use to serve an enemy of the Empire.

3: In case of introduction of 3rd party manufactured NH-28 units, such as PNUgen.

4: Because nothing should ever be immune to everything.

------------

As for the technical issues... I did state that there were massive requirements behind capturing a NH-28 in a combat situation. As for a surprise attack, I think I covered everything... air speed and temp manipulation to prevent nodal support usage (The buggers don't work well in bad weather), temperature reduction to slow hemosynthetics... and other such cautions. Hrm, but with the addition of the notes on preventing power from reaching the NH-28's generator, it should also cover the CFS issue.

Anyway, during the early stages of the process, only an idiot would go near her without a power armor.

Also, the task of breaking the humans and nekos aboard the ship is a given, of course its going to have to be done, but it would also be nice to salvage the NH-28 unit. Such an expensive and useful killing machine should be given a chance to continue to contribute to the Empire, even if she is a pet or a sentient individual whom is given privileges if she behaves.

I think it is worthwhile to spend a few hours of IC time within an IC week to reprogram a machine which could contribute positively to a plot environment... it would also provide some interesting RP for whomever is playing the NH-28, and the trainers.

*frantic waving of hand to volunteer*

...What? I'm not a bondage fetishist, I just think this'd be a fun thing to do and it would contribute to the story greatly.

I find it rather unlikely that Wes is going to allow someone below an Officer rank control the single most destructive creature in the known universe.

Personally I'd feel uncomfortable with anyone below Shosa or so.

I don't mean to question your abilities, it is simply that you can't play an NH-27 without an Officer rank - and the NH-28 is several hundred times more dangerous.
