Kotori, thank you so much for that explanation. I can see clearly now, and what I see requires some shades... bright, future, etc.
If I have any further questions, I'll revisit this thread, but I believe my new character (Dagsuz) will be acceptable.

Dag-suz? I can't say I'd recommend that name for someone of nordic or japanese descent... which constituates most of the dominating ethinicity in Yamatai. Nepleslia being strongly american-themed, I'd discourage it too.

I understand you like unique stuff but have some pity for your fellow roleplayers whom are going to have to write down that name lots of times. Couldn't you pick something less... well, Dagsuz-like?

Though I take that back if you happen to be playing a Nepleslian mutant, a Mishhuvurthyar or some other alien overlord. Dagsuz would work fine for those! XD

Dagsuz is a combination of Elder Futhark ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elder_futhark ) runes Dagaz (paradox, synthesis, conciousness) and Ansuz (mind, self, Odin, communication), and is an excellent representation of the character.
I can't see how it's not relevant, personally.
