If I ever get a credit card I'll need to get a comission from this "Anna", because she is by far my favorite alternate commission artist (Aside from the ones present on this site).

Just a heads up if you were ever looking for a commission from Ultema, she's opened her commission slots again!

Aww... She did Fay for me.. I'll need to get her to do some more for me when I get my first or second paychecks after bootcamp. I'll also need to get some from Annie, too! *glomps Krieg*

Hi there. I'd be interested on doing commission work for your project if it's still going, you can find samples of my work in my gallery. [link] have a great weekend. :)
Single Character, no background or simple bg, full color. Range $70-120 (depending on character complexity and rendering style.
Definitely worth a look!

Wow, kind of expensive, maybe I should increase my Star Army prices if you guys are willing to pay that much ;)

Sadly, Star Army's members, including myself, seem to have less money than ever before, due to the struggling economy. Even food costs have risen by half in the last year or so!

Hooray for the Navy, where room and board, medical care, and a steady amount of income come with the job! Anyways, hopefully things will liven up for the economy so people have more chances for income.

My comment was meant as half a joke. I mean it's not an envy thing or something but how bizarre it is that while I try to come up with ways to lower the prices the artists recommended in this thread ALL charge at least twice as much as me. So yea kinda like a "welcome to Bizarro world".

Zairyo does indeed produce awesome artwork.

I can't imagine paying $100+ for a piece of character art myself. Even if we weren't in the midst of a solvency crisis that the Fed is doing everything they can to make worse (by treating it as a liquidity crisis and funneling huge amounts of federal money into a black hole with zero possible return). Hooray for fiat currency plus long-term deficit spending!

Everyone stock up on guns!

How do I stock up on guns when I can't even afford art commissions?

Hm. Good point.

Save up to buy one gun, and use it to steal more guns?

I just figure when key figures of government are building impregnable fortresses in South America, it's time to seriously consider having a lot of guns. And bulletproof windows, too. And maybe a zombie defense network.

Zairyo, I might have to commission you to draw a zombie caught in a defense network once I have money again...

I know that some people that have the money to spend or want to spend it don't always know how to find someone for their commission. Both Ultima (single character digi color full body with no background: $30) and Anna (single character digi color full body with no background: $35) have relatively low commission rates for the style that they do.

Commissions are a luxury not something anyone really needs, but when you have the money to spend, it's nice to get something you really want in a style you want. *shrugs* Budgeting is really the way to go if you really want something but can't currently afford it. If you can afford $10 a pay check, it doesn't take too horribly long to save up for a commission.

GRRRRRAAAAAHHHH!!!

*Breaks through wall with Kool Aid*

OH YEAH!

I mentioned it in my other thread, but I am doing full color pinups/character art for TEN FRAKKING DOLLARS.

Seven slots...
