Plot Concept: Not 18+. Rogue elements of USO from 188604 go on scatterbrained adventures... in space!

Dame Eisley used to be the scion of one of the wealthiest merchant families on the Green Sea. Now, the family business is in ruins. What's a youth of privilege to do? Pilot a giant mecha? No, Eisley has greater ambitions! She's out to become the first Osmani starship captain. Maybe you can help?

For their first adventure, Dame Eisley and her associates seek out the support they need to obtain a ship, and most likely a mortgage for it. After some conversations with powerful people in USO's government and nascent school system and a good sales pitch, they're looking to get their wings! Metaphorically speaking.

Plot Format: SP thread, though there may be some JPs for guest characters.
Recruitment: Alex Hart is looking for adventure! Other members of USO are welcome.
 
Certainly possible, but there isn't a large used starship market on 188604. The biggest challenge would be talking someone into buying them a starship and bringing it over.
 
It could also be a new starship. ArsenicJohn is working on finishing off the Sand Demon, and except for the prototype, only new models of that would be available. The design belongs to USO, though I'm not sure where it would be built.

Finding out where to get the ship and the financing for it is part of the adventure, though, so there's nothing wrong with talking to more than one group of people about it.
 
Alternatively, we could use one of the origin ships like the courier 1a or their escort destroyer. And dumont implied that at some point we might get one of the hexagon's assault carriers.
 
Well.. I was going to see if there was any interest in a mercenaries with tanks plot soon. It's possible that she could secure Corgan's services somehow. At the least we could have some crossovers.
