"I'm not sure you should take notes, We're not exactly a normal family" Trey chuckled, pulling a keycard out of his pocket and unlocking the door. Almost immediately, two small girls, one blonde, one redheaded, squealed in delight and ran toward Trey, tackling into him as he bent down to receive them in a hug. "Hello Darlings!" the tall man said, grunting a bit as he stood up, a girl under each arm, squeezing the duo and kissing their heads. "How long's it been? three? four months?"
The blonde held up a hand, with three fingers, counting the months her father had been gone, but the little redhead was elsewhere, staring over her father's should at the pink-haired woman "Who's that?" she squeaked, pointing at Lilly for a moment before burying her face in her father's shoulder.
"Oh, that's just one of Daddy's co-workers. She got lost so I said she could follow me." Trey explained, putting the girls down. The redhead hid behind Trey's legs, peeking out every once in a while, as the blonde stood in front of her father, staring inquisitively at Lilly. "Her hair is pink." she announced, matter-of-factly.
Trey chuckled ruffling the blonde's hair. "This is Jade, and this one," he pointed to the girl hiding behind him, "is Amanda. She's a little shy, if you hadn't noticed." He turned back toward the door, and yelled inside "MOM! You got company!" and a kindly-looking gray-haired woman soon appeared within the hallway, smiling at her son.
"And who is company?" she asked, leaning on the door well. "This is... Uh, Lilly, I think? She's a soldier with my unit and seemed rather lost when we suddenly got leave, so I let her tag along." Trey explained, smiling at his mother. "Rosey and Dad at the farm today?" he asked, receiving a nod. "I guess I'll have to go down there and get them then." he said.
