RP: YSS Genesis [Prologue] A Ship Without a Captain

"Y-yes!" Evelyn exclaimed. "Well. I don't know; I was looking for someone on the crew to talk to. I'm Private Evelyn Fritz, from Origin. I'm going to be the medic here aboard the Genesis. I need to memorize faces and names and stuff and... Does anyone know where the... Taii is?"

She shifted uncomfortably. She didn't want to make a bad impression on anyone, especially if she got sent in on any Away Team mission... if the ship had an Away Team.

It was at this point, that Yoko started to worry that she was perhaps the only sane person on the ship. "Well, how the hell am I supposed to know where he is?" the Geshrin asked in response, irritated. "Wat do I look like? His motha?" Stooping over to pick up the fallen cup, Yoko went on to answer Shinon.

"As I was sayin, I got no problem fixin them up and ai'll do that, but I don't like them, the Pee-Ayyes ya know?" she explained, still stubbornly emphasizing the fact she didn't like them.

Shinon looked at the newcomer. It was the abwehran girl she met when she boarded the ship. Shinon blinked at hearin her horrible yamatain but let it be. "Last time I saw Taii he was on the bridge. Try checking there or try asking AI for his location." Shinon answered the abwehran girl in trade. She was from Origin too and she already talked to her earlier.

She instead looked at Yoko again and sipped some more coffee. "I don't want to sound like a bitch but I will tell you this. You do not need to like them, just fix them. And since you already agreed to do so, I am more then happy. And now how do you suggest we get out of this crap topic and all seriousness since it is starting to get on my nerves." She said to woman in front of her and smiled. "By the way coffee here is horrible," Shinon added and looked at brown blop in her cup. "Want some too?" She then asked Evelyn so she would not feel pushed out.

The icy stare that Yoko gave the cat could have frozen helium. Maybe they didn't notice it at first, but the conversation had been taking a darker and darker tone for Omitsu. Why? They didn't know why. Sure, maybe if they bothered to look at the records or ask her, yes, then they might go figure, but that wasn't the case here. In her own harsh, bitchy way, she was trying to tell Shinon to drop the subject. And failed to get the thick headed SAoY cat to do so.

But the last words had dug under her skin like a parasite; it was no surprise that she spoke again, cold, calm and hostile.

"Is that an order to shut the f*ck up?" she challenged.

Shinon looked back at Yoko. "Don't give me that shit," she answered quickly. "First I can't even really order you seeing as you are civilian and I am military personell. Secondly I do not give a shit about you and your problems as long as you do your work right. Thirdly I wanted to ditch the armour topic finally cause it was obviously making you fucking uncomfortable. See I can swear too if I want." Shinon's voice was still calm, but it could be seen she was holding back.

"Oooh yeeeah!" The Geshrin started, drawing out the words. "Now you figure out I don't wanna talk about it!" Yoko spoke sarcastically. "How'd a thick headed girl like you get into the Star Army anyways?" She asked Shinon with a sneer.

"It's really frustrating talking to someone that can't take a hint, yaknow?"

Shinon scowled for a while but then she just sighed and let it of. "Whatever," she said. "You are not the brightest bulb in the bunch either. I tried to stop this stupid topic thirty seconds ago, it was you who got all pig headed and defiant. Whatever I say. You got problems, keep it to yourself if you want. But if you change your mind, my offer stays and I will hear you out none the less. Think about it will you?" She said and put the empty coffee cup in the tray.

The door suddenly opened, and a pair of boots could be heard.

"Now, Now. We don't need to be getting tempers flared over such things. Not right now, anyway" The Taii began, a slight frown on his face. He seemed rather disappointed.

"It seems that we've had much more stress today than we would think. Perhaps it is best to get some rest; it will be a busy day tomorrow."

The Taii walked up to the coffee machine, and poured himself a cup, silently. He turned around, and looked over the three women in the room with him. "Well, then?" Seth asked, taking a sip of the coffee.

His frown disappeared, but the coffee cup was lowered immediately.

Yoko stared daggers at Shinon. "You thick headed or somethin? I already said I was gonna do it a whole buncha times." The engineer had already gotten what she wanted, and it was time to leave. As soon as she stood, the Taii had come in and spoke his piece. Did he hear it all from the AI? It didn't matter. Yoko coolly walked over to the receptacle labeled 'Cups', and held her own over it pinched by the rim between a finger and thumb, pinkie out, until he finished talking.

The cup dropped like a rock into it's proper place before she started on her way out. "There's ya Taii there Evelyn." she spoke to the red eyed Abwehran. It wasn't until after Seth had drank some of the coffee that she commented again though.

"Oh. Don't drink the cawfee, it's not even from Origin for some reason."

As she left without a glance back, Yoko had a satisfied smirk on her face.

Shinon raised her head and draw a breath, but in the end stopped. She just could not bother anymore, that girl obviously missed what she meant. Shinon just caught her forehead and shaked her head. She then stood up and gave quick bow to Taii. "You are rigth Taii, some rest will do me good." She said and left right after fiery mechanic.
