Art Raph's Chibi Art Requests (Closed)

Does your character not yet have a cute chibi illustration? Fill out and reply with this form and I'll see what I can do.

NOTE:

  • You may only request your own characters.
  • Your character's bio needs to be fully up to date and accurate!
  • URLs should be actual URLs. Do not use hyperlinks.
  • Try to use standard uniforms, e.g. Duty uniforms for Star Army chars.
  • Include URLs for any pins, ranks, or patches used if necessary.

Sweetness, though only problem I have is that Dakura is looking a bit to.... sober... but if changes can't be made its all and good
 
@Reynolds: Please choose a suitable uniform; the filed uniform has been discontinued. As noted in the OP, "Try to use standard uniforms, e.g. Duty uniforms for Star Army chars.."

I would rather keep the hat, since it's part of the uniform and the hat being off was not requested in the original request.
 
The Field Uniform is the only uniform that was issued to Simo Anzu. It's the only one she's ever worn, in either plot, and it's likely to be the only thing she'll ever wear unless a new type of Field Uniform is issued to her. If PAs are considered the new 'uniform' for infantry, should she appear in a Daisy instead?
 
Her inventory contains a working uniform and a duty uniform. The Daisy is an interesting idea.
 
I had Anzu be given those two uniforms by the ship's AI as a little joke, with her reaction being to stuff them in the bottom of her closet and remark about how she'd never, ever wear them.

I guess the Daisy would be fine, but I wouldn't want to give the artist extra work to do, as I'm sure a mech is more complicated than clothing. Especially if they're not a mech artist.

I believe Kai and Cadet also pointed out that Anzu has the only art of the Field Uniform outside of the official art on the page, so it would be nice to continue the tradition by keeping her in it for the chibi.

If she can't take pride in the uniform, she should leave the Star Army. In a military, there's no place for soldiers who won't follow regulations. Also, I don't want any more art of the field uniform, full stop.

I don't think the DAISY armor is more complicated to draw than the NMX infantry uniform Amanozako is wearing in Gunsight's sig. It should be fine for chibis I think. We can show it with the helmet removed.
 
Well there's a difference between saying you'd never do something that has never come up, and actually disobeying orders. She's never been ordered to wear one of those uniforms. My friends in the Navy have told plenty of stories about lazy slobs who didn't take care of their uniforms, or avoided wearing anything but coveralls or whatever other working gear they could get away with. Anzu is supposed to have gotten in trouble fairly often, so this isn't too far off the mark.

But, since you're in charge of the art, there's no reason to argue about it! It's your money, so they should reflect what you want to see. I fully understand.

If you think the artist will be fine with a simplified chibi Daisy, that works for me.

Edit : If you're thinking about a Daisy with the helmet off for more than one character, you might get them to do a generic Daisy with helmet on (that could be used as generic chibi art for any infantry character) and then just have two different heads drawn. If that makes sense. It seems similar to how the chibi art is done already, but a helmet gives a chance to have a truly faceless, generic figure, that could be used by anyone. Or put on the Daisy page. Etc.
 
I think I should get a generic chibi or two with the helmets on, that way we can use them as placeholders for characters lacking custom chibis.

What do you mean? Each chibi is unique and the bodies are not reused by the artist.
 
If you're getting multiple Chibis of Daisy Armors, might I suggest getting one with a Masculine chest plate, since the Daisy II has both Masculine and Feminine chest plates available.
 
I haven't looked too closely, really, they just seemed similar enough that I thought some stock poses were reused when possible. I thought that was one reason why everyone is usually in the same uniform that cuts out too many defining features below the neck.

With armor in that scale/style, you might not be able to tell the difference, really. One male and one female might still be a good idea, though. Could do something for the Mindy, too, which would cover plenty more people.
