“For the Glory of the Empire!” Yayoi couldn’t help herself but said as she saluted the Empress and Yui. Though Yuri saluted like her mother, she was somewhat disappointed that she wouldn’t be allowed to hug the Empress, or Yui, or even become friends with them.

Out in the City

While most of the Resurgence crew was meeting the Empress and receiving their awards for all their hard work, Trowa was with his family. It would take awhile for the Resurgence to be repaired. Normally in during a break like this he would have returned to Jiyuu III where his wife owned a restaurant. But they hadn't been given permission to leave Yamatai at this time so he found an apartment right beside the base so he could spend as much time with his family as he possible during this down time.

At the moment, Trowa was sitting on a couch, reading a book to his daughter and son. Elanor Aeon kept interrupting to point at something on the page and either proudly identify something she recognized in the book or to ask what is that? She also kept stopping to give her papa a kiss. His son was just 10 months old but he was following along as well and smiling and laughing. It felt so good to be with his family. Although in the back of his mind he kept thinking about the last mission against the Mishhu.

Trowa was a veteran of the second Mishhu war. He had fought them many times and knew how serious an enemy they were. Although he had believed that the Mishhu had been completely driven out into the void. Looks like they had regrouped. He looked at his kids, knowing if a third Mishhu war was brewing, it would mean a lot less time to see his kids. But there was also the risk that if the Mishhu launched some big offensive, then his family could get caught up in.
