Just to note that there was a report just yesterday about his death being a 'hoax', but earlier this morning it was actually confirmed that he is in fact dead.

I was floored by learning this today. Robin Williams felt like he had always been along and I grew up watching and enjoying movies he starred in (Peterpan and Mrs. Doubtfire being amongst them). He was a great actor that had an hand in very touching stories.

It feels like losing a member of your own family when he's been entertaining you for years. You've watched him spin life on the silver screen and the TV screen. You've seen him in roles that made you laugh and cry, and feel like you've never felt before. I always recognized Williams best from his role as the voice of Genie, the energy and fire that played in his words still ring in my mind as an adult today. I haven't watched most of his more recent work, but I'll remember a particular commercial he made for Nintendo for the release of the Ocarina of Time.

Whenever I thought of him, I came to this, and realized how much emotion this man could instill in only half a minute. This is only a commercial, but it feels so real.

We're all meant to pass on when Death has our table ready. Yet... I wish it could have been in any other way but this.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear about this as well. I for some reason always thought of Mr. Williams as a distant uncle of sorts, and it hurts to know that he's been taken from us in such awful circumstances.

Rest in peace, Robin Williams. :'(

The reaction is almost universal. I think this shocked everyone, everywhere, because it always felt like he was always going to be there.

Anyone who watches the Tonight Show got to see Jimmy Fallon all but breaking down talking about it, and he's far from the only one, but one of the saddest ones I've seen was the images from when they told Koko the gorilla that he'd died.

I don't think any of us are forgetting him any time soon.
