I figure it is time to finally submit this. The idea of the Iris is a mixture of Girls Frontline, Ghost in the Shell, Detroid:Become Human, and a some fanart of a terminator that started the idea that would become the finished product. For unapproved articles going with it, I really didn't want to make every single type of basic cybernetic out there so I used a chart from Cyberpunk Red in hopes that it will help others to better organize their own cybernetic efforts. Everything was generic enough in names, though I did some tweaking here and there. The other one is a thought experiment on how human I could make them. Never go full Adam Smasher.

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
The article states "intended use" and that they are capable of a "wide range of tasks" but doesn't clearly define either of those outside of the nitty gritty in systems and components. Can you more clearly define what its intended use and capabilities will be?

It reads like a sex bot which is fine.

It's general purpose, so basically whatever someone wants them to be. But I can get even more exact with generic models of dolls specialized for tasks/jobs. Have a ton of MJ gens to use, lol.

Starting with describing the range of capabilities in a general section to let the reader get a better understanding of what they are for would help.

Alright, I kind of wanted to explicitly know if they were used for combat because of this: "Designed to mimic the human form precisely, the Iris is defensively weaker on its own compared to more dedicated combat droid and even competitors such as the Service Android, Type 36A "Emma" androids."

If they are weaker than an Emma, which is by no means capable as a combat droid, then they shouldn't be used for combat. Honestly, this statement seems to be in contention with a majority of the rest of the article as stated.

It was done to highlight the DRv3 tier, not strength or capability since it is customizable. I assumed Tier 2 for a normal android since none of the others specify besides NDC Operators. Combat models like Steve are Tier 3.

This is one of the highest-quality articles submitted to Star Army! I really appreciate the work put into it and the fine detail Demibear put into it. The commissioned art looks great as well!

Now I'm confused. The article states they're Tier 1, not Tier 2 or 3. Or is that what you're saying, justifying why they're weaker than an Emma?

Making them weaker than Emma is in contention with making them combat-specific. Both of those statements can not exist at the same time on the wiki.

I edited that section and made the comparison against the J2 Steve. I am just failing to see the issue beyond making the comparison to the Emma.

The article wasn't very clear and the Emma comparison only muddied those waters further, so I appreciate that. As it stands, here's the checklist

Here are some fixes this article still needs:

1. Several of the sub-sections have no text after the section headers (all sub-sections of system and components) Just put the tables below some of the text.

When these fixes are made, please post a reply here so I can re-check the article. Thank you!
