RP: New Dusk Conclave Separation Of Myself and I

"Well this sort of operation is sort of unknown, but I believe it shouldn't take longer then 8 hours."
She said to Adi quietly, looking a bit more to the ground then eye to eye. She soon elaborated further however.
"Though the operation is still not going to happen for a short while, so we have time to speak if you have any other questions."
Aras said, before turning more to Adi's partner. Maybe the patient wanted to know some more as well?

Sonia had been very quiet, and for good reason, her slightly widened eyes transfixed on the mechanical arms docked into the ceiling. Even docked, their array of surgical tools could still be glimpsed, and brought flashes of memory to her mind. Tools of similar nature, cutting and stripping her flesh to implant the very thing she was here to remove. Even trying to keep her cool, it caused a cold sweat and a slight increase to breathing. At first the voices had been muffled to her transfixed state, before realizing it got quiet.

Returning her attention to the now, she realized she was being waited on for something, "O-oh, uh, I'm sorry. How quick will it take for the drug to knock me out when the operations start? I'm pretty genetically enhanced, so you might need a bigger dose.......I r-really don't want to be awake for this again." she said quietly.

8 hours seemed like a long time to Adi, but she was willing to wait for any amount of time, even years, if it meant her girlfriend being happy. She whimpered when she heard Sonia say "again". She rather suddenly pulled Sonia in for a hug, the small feline princess wasn't fond of the machines either.

Aras rushed to assure her patient.
"Oh, of course, we'll take all precautions to make certain you are fully anesthetized for the procedures."
She simply couldn't imagine what kind of cruel doctor could do an operation like that without being certain the patient wasn't comatose. It was simply terrible to her, and she would make certain to check the patient before the operation.
"It would be simply barbaric to not, I assure you I'll work myself to have you comfortable for it."

"Yeah, Hades wasn't so kind.....You'll also want to disable the device, it has no limiters being the biggest reason for that and this surgery. To prevent restraints and anything else breaking. So give it to me straight doc, what kind of condition do you see me being in during recovery?" Sonia expressed her worries, and was happy to have them answered, now she was worried about the after. She didn't ask for specifics on the operations, due to not wanting to imagine them, and already having a good idea since she witnessed the majority of the reverse operation. Adi holding her close was a great comfort, and she rubbed a thumb over the shoulder of her girlfriend to comfort her.

Aras could practically feel sweat beading on her brow as she prepared to respond further. Sure, this sort of operation was next to unheard of, but Aras had a little experience of her own with major bodily operations, and knew what the usual verdict is.
"Well, uh, this will be a rather intrusive operation for your body. I'm sorry to say you will likely be bedridden for some time afterwards to allow for your body to adjust to lacking the implant, and after that you will likely be rather fragile for an even longer time. You should fully recover eventually though, but as this surgery is rather unexplored, I'm not certain exactly how long that may take. No longer then a year or two, I presume"
Aras practically stammered out her verdict, stating her educated guess as quickly as she could, but still audible enough to be understood. It wasn't easy telling someone they'd have to change their usual behavior for an extended period of time, she knew from herself, but it was rather necessary to not lie to the person she was about to work on.

Adi rubbed Sonia's back with her hand, looking up to her and saying "I-I'll be there the whole time after the surgery." The thicc princess was nervous, but determined to help her girlfriend, whatever it took. She was still clinging to Sonia tightly, her chest pressed against her. She was both afraid of the machines and afraid for her sweetheart. "I-I promise... I'll handle anything y-you need..."

"I know you will Adi, you've been nothing but loving and helpful the whole way so far."

A sigh left the blonde mercenary's lips as she let that verdict set in. Giving a glance to the mechanical tools again, her mind showered all the things she had been blocking. Memories of going through the agony and defiling of her body. It still ran a cold shiver of fear, but it also filled her with a anger at how she had been warped. In the end, that anger is what she needed, knowing it would pull through it with that feeling. With a new look of determination, she looked Aras right in the eyes, "Alright then, that's acceptable to me. I assume the frailness could be treated by using synthetic muscle to replace what was lost from the implantation?"

"Yes, yes, of course, though you will still likely be a bit fragile. With a bit of care you will recover however."
For speaking so confidently, she certainly was afraid inside. This would be a very intense day, and she hoped she could have it turn out bright in the end. She still had no idea when the rest of the surgical crew would arrive, so at this point it was just a waiting game to distract the patients before the operation. As she was stared in the eyes by her patient, she almost wavered for a moment, though she kept strong and stared on, a only slightly quivering smile on her face.
"I simply have no idea when the rest of the crew will arrive, so I apologize for that."

The butterfly was uneasy about the uncertainty over where the rest of surgical team was. If they didn't know where they were now, did that mean they were unprepared for the operation? The long-haired feline looked down, there wasn't much she could do in this situation but hope. She was practically attached to Sonia, but she knew she would have to let go soon. She was glad that they could use synthetic muscle to help alleviate the side-effects of the surgery at least. She anxiously waited for the doctors to arrive, reasoning that perhaps if they arrived soon, it would mean that they weren't that far behind schedule which could be an indicator that they were, in fact, prepared to perform the surgery.

["Medical personnel are signaled as ready for operation. Currently in route with supplies. Please administer medical forms to patient, also Miss Aras, an additional form has been included. I believe it is a release form, for a request within the AR&D department for donation of the SHAM unit after the operation is over."]

"Well here we go it seems. I don't care what is done with the damn thing, so hopefully you guys can do something useful with it. I'm ready to get this over with, just let me give Adi a kiss before we start. So hand me the files already please." Sonia said, coming off as possibly a bit abrasive, but understandably so with what was about to happen. She was still nervous out of her mind, the anxiety she was trying to hide making her be a bit on edge. She only briefly looked away as the suited doctors entered with carts of supplies. Drugs, scalpels, pans, hypos, tools, canisters full of medical nanoes, and a few scanning devices. Two men who were dressed as security brought a humanoid shaped case and set it to the side.

"A case for the device once extracted. We'll have it picked up after the surgery has concluded." one man said before the two left again. After the carts were placed and the machine starting it's boot up process, another signaled Aras that everything was set.

At first Aras was a touch confused as to why the research team would want a mechanical endoskeleton, though she quickly realized that she had no idea the level of technology it used. Maybe it could be used to develop technology for much more beneficial means, which would certainly be better then what it was for now.
"Yes, certainly."
She motioned to hand over the datapad with the various forums, but did wait for her to complete her request before actually handing them over. As the rest of the crew clambered in with supplies, Aras really scoped in the scale of this operation. This had to be the most complex thing she'd done since medical school, and certainly more resource intensive. As she waited for the forums, she just gave a nod to the rest of the operators to signal that she too was ready.
"You two can say your farewells before the operation, and then we may begin when you are both ready."

Hearing that they were just about ready to begin, Adi started quaking. Slowly, she turned to Sonia. She shakily tried to stand on her tip toes, but then she hopped and kissed her tall girlfriend on the forehead. "I-I-I..." she began, then paused. She squeezed Sonia's hand and continued "I'll s-see you again soon, my love..." Adi let go and sniffled, knowing now was the time she would be separated from her lover. The tools and the team of doctors scared her. It was a good thing that they would have more hands during the operation, but to see them all preparing was intimidating. She was a nervous wreck, she was shaking so hard it was causing her long antennae to wobble, and her tail's crimson fur was incredibly poofy.

Sonia quickly caught Adi before she walked away, taking her hand for a moment as the other lifted her lover's chin. She gave a kiss that lingered before parting their lips from each other to speak, "That you will, and I'll come out better when you do. I'll be waiting til it's over and we can see each other again." she said before letting go and offering the best smile she could. As Adi would be escorted from the room so they could get under way, she would be lead to a nearby row of seats just down the hall.

With the hybrid girlfriend out of the room, the smile turned to a frown. "Give it to me straight doc, what are my odds? I know there is no way in hell you've done this extensive of a surgery before, or one that's going to remove 45% of the patient in the process. It's very really I might die today I realize, please do your best to prevent that. Shall I disrobe now?" Sonia asked as she looked to the table, the people not helping with the surgery having left with Adi. They stood waiting, clearly waiting on her and Aras alone now. The blonde merc who's tribal style tattoos that covered the entirety of her left arm down to the wrist, and her left leg to the ankle was very deathly nervous. She stepped closer to the table, placing a hand on the gel of the bed.
