[Stalwart Defense Industries] The Man, The Ego, The LEGEND!

"I wish to see your prospective selling plans. That is what I was sent to do." Ken says, bowing to the man infront of him. "KFY is looking at breaking into the weapon bussiness, starting with rifles and the such."

"The prospective selling plans of SDI are confidential and not something that we're willing to share. Needless to say that we will be producing designs for many companies, in a completely neutral manner." Stalwart scratched his neck. "However, I do have the test target set up, and I can show you the prototype of the Linear Shot for the company your represent. If you'll just follow me..." He motioned for Ken to follow him, and his bodyguard got into position directly behind the visitor, as he led them to the bottom cargo deck.

Set up in front of them, among what appeared to be a great deal of junk materials, was what appeared to be a block of ballistics gel. "Since the KFY doesn't manufacture high-penetration weapons, I'll explain this. This is a ballistics gel variant designed for railgun-type weapons. Since basically all railguns will penetrate normal ballistic gel virtually without resistance, this variant is far more resistant. Both of the Emrys model railguns penetrate about 10 inches."

He took his prototype weapon in hand and loaded the battery and mag. "Try it out."

"I think I shall." Ken said, aiming down the barrel and at the target. "Ten inches of penetration, eh?" he says, pulling off a shot into the gel. "Nice and smooth, recoil isn't too bad." he says, smiling. "This is a nice gun. Almost a work of art."

"Yes, I know. It's truly something to behold, isn't it?" Stalwart pointed out the two penetrations in the gel. "Both needles penetrated 8 inches - more than sufficient for a weapon of that size. Note the targeting module - it has both cybernetic and psionic communication capabilities."

He stood and smiled, taking his weapon back. "Good sir, what is your offer for the exclusive manufacture and sale rights?"

"Hmmm...." Ken says, turning, raising his own two pistols. "Your head." he said, firing at both several times, and running out the door and up the nearest stairs.

Aria immediately responded by firing at him as he ran. "Damnit, Mora, lock him out of the airlock!"

Mora immediately responded by going to a security panel and activating the password lock on the airlock doors. "I do suggest you give chase, Grey Seraphim. It seems you were right about Zen, after all."

Reaching the third floor, Ken ran fast, droping minor motion bombs that set after landing. "Shit shit shit shit...run faster feet!" he said, looking for an enviromental suit area, just incase he had to blow a hole open to escape.

Aria kept chase, still shooting, as the resourceful inventor looked through the security manual. "Let's see, let's see...bombs, bombs, bombs...ahah!" He started to search the interface for the command, visibly frustrated. "Damn this inferior technology! Why can't they just put 'disable explosive devices' on the front page?"

The explosives blew up as Aria ran by, trying to catch her with sticky substances to shrapnel.

Ken was around the corner, waiting with his pistols up. "Come on bitch. I'm going to blow you apart."

Aria tripped and fell, rolling on the ground and firing once more. "Damnit, Mora! Get your goddamned dampening field up!"

"Ahah, done!" The field came up basically as he said it, disabling most of the explosives he could possibly use. "Thank you, competent refitters!" He grabbed his weapon and followed the path of the explosives.

Ken shot at her arm and leg areas when the android ran through the door, trying to disable her fighting ability. "I'm sorry, but you may decline 2 mill for your design, but I need that money they are offering me."

She got her left arm shot off, showing she was clearly biological, but didn't stop. "So you are from Zen! You bastards wouldn't know legitimate business if it stabbed you in the neck!"

Meanwhile, Mora was huffing and puffing as he ran around, trying to find the troublesome boy. "I'm...whew...quite out of shape..."

"Ha. I'm just a merc. I've done worse for less." he said, taking a few more shots. "Maybe the tech guy should have accepted the money, but I think he's too greedy for his own good."

Aria kept to to the side, continuing to shoot. Damn...can't get a clear shot off yet... "Greedy enough to kill an innocent inventor just to get your hands on a lousy gun? You make me sick."

But the situation would be saved by Mora arriving and taking aim at Ken - from behind. He watched as the targeting system displayed the info on the HUD in his glasses. "I have a target lock on your leg, she's a deadly shot, and we can still destroy your ship and dump your corpse, so I do suggest you drop your guns."

Ken looks back, then brings a pistol to bear on Mora. "yeah, and I have both of you in my sights, and I don't need a fancy targeting system. I belive this is called a stale mate." he said, standing up against the wall. "I'm just trying to make a living, lady. Most of my jobs don't pay in the hundreds."

"I should apologize, then, for snapping your leg like a twig." Mora wasted no time in pulling the trigger.

Ken called out as his leg was shot, but never wavered. "Sonofa....well...it could be worse." he said, clenching his teeth against the pain. "It's a stalemate still...meaning no matter how this goes, no one wins, in case you forgot, doc."

"I should point out that two high-powered needles just went through the bones in your leg, basically shattering them. I wouldn't suggest trying to walk." Stalwart looked at the mercenary with a calm smile, his glasses displaying the target data even now. "What we are going to do, though, is bring you back to your ship and report your actions to the authorities. Though they won't actually do anything, it will cost quite a bit in bribes to clear yourself, something I'm sure your employers won't be happy about."

The bodyguard holstered her sidearm and gripped the arm of the merc. "If you try anything, I snap it. Come with me." She growled as she started to walk, waiting for him to follow. Damned kid.
