I dunno, this seems kinda like a step backwards for Yamataian technology, considering the nodal system can effectively make something from nothing, it'd be much easier on the supply chain just to use existing nodal fabrication equipment to make clothing, as opposed to bothering to heft crates of spray-clothes to locations unknown, or even taking up important space on spacecraft.
If anything, for Yamataian military usage, I'd recommend a reusable cloth-printing device which would use task-specific nodal fabrication devices. Pre-programmed nodal devices would be used, allowing for security to be maintained if the devices are used in secure environments, pre-programmed meaning, the nodal devices in the printer would only be able to manufacture a select range of textiles, in a select range of patterns.
For this spray-cloth tech, I would perhaps recommend it be put into circulation by a corporate entity, or even one of the government aligned corporations that exist within the Empire, for civilian use. If anything, due to it being quite reasonable for humanitarian usage, it could be a good idea just to churn the things out. Humanitarian usage seems the most reasonable choice, by the way, since refugees, disaster victims, and other folks on hard-times would be the only folks in the Empire without access to the infinite resources which the Empire has to offer.
