Reply The Auroran's The massiveness of the gate astounded KarHallarn as his Carrier came to a stop directly in front of it. Finaly touches were being put on the gate as he watched, looking down at his sensors he saw the rest of the Pack forming up around his flagship. A beep brought his attention back to the viewer, where he saw that the scaffolding was falling away from the jumpgate, and the construction ships pulling away.

"They report that the gate is ready for transport KarHallarn."

With a grunt of understanding KarHallarn, Dechtakar leader of the Wolfpack, presses the button on his command chair, activating the Jumpgate. The gates four spokes opened prom their previous pyramid shape, each of the ends that had formed the point spreading apart as a blue field of light formed between them. As the spokes locked into their open position, and the gate had been fully formed KarHallarn gave the order that would launch his Wolfpack into unknown space. He was proud that it had been his Dechtakar Battlebrothers that had been chosen for this mission. A mission they might not survive. They were to go through this gate, not knowing where it would send them as there was not yet a sister gate to dial in. All they knew was it would launch them into a foreign galaxy. A galaxy where the elders hoped they could either aquire new technology to help with their wars back home, or they could conquer, and take resources from. The small fleet, of only 10 cruisers, and a myriad of smaller heraani engeneer and construction ships began to move toward the gate. KarHallarn looked around at the faces of the Dechtakar warriors on his bridge. He noticed the gleam in their eye's, indicating they almost hoped to be jumping into a battle on the other side. However Karhallarn, although he felt the need for battle as well, knew that they needed to jump into a peaceful sector, so they could begin work on a sister jumpgate and the Empire could send through the fleets it had been assembling for months. Just as these thoughts ran through his mind his ship pushed through the jumpgate, and with a flash of blue light, he was back in the blackness of space, but there was no jumpgate in sight. It had worked, his fleet had been thrown into some other galaxy. His Cruisers immediately set up a perimiter, and scanned for any signs of alien ships, planets or other creatures. Their scans came back telling him the system they were in seemed to be uninhabited, none of the planets supported life, and there was no sign of ships in the system. With that he sent an order to the Heraani engeneer's that they were to begin custruction immediately. The gate shouldn't take too long, most of it was prefabricated, and the Heraani merely had to assemble it. However even with the major parts being already built, the simple massive size of the gate would cause it to take at least a month to put together. A month where KarHallarn was alone, with a mere ten Gjinchar Cruisers and two old Ytrack Carriers. His orders were simple, keep the Heraani alive untill they completed the jumpgate, so the Empire could send fleets to this point. If they didn't get this gate completed they would be stranded in this galaxy alone, forever.

"I want the surrounding systems checked...send out 6 recon groups of 3 Abomination ships...tell them to spend the next month checking all surrounding systems, and to report back any indication of civilization. Tell them to avoid being seen or scanned by alien ships as well. Make sure they know NOT to enter into combat, under any circumstances."

Minutes after the order left his mouth, the launch bays on the Flagship opened up, releasing the Abomination gunships for their recon screen. KarHallarn watches the ships pull away from the fleet, then each activate their Tunneling device, and instantly slip into the surrounding systems.

OOC: This post is to introduce the Aurorans IC. Derran or Marty, if you guys have your map ready yet I'd like to see it, so I can decide where the aurorans are. Or you could just tell me a fairly desolate system with no life in it, and what's around it, so I can know what the recon groups encounter, and RP that out. Thanks.

Re: The Auroran's Contact Info, Jodd-o?

I can see that you've put thought into your new species, and I am looking forward to learning more about them. Perhaps the GSA and your guys can meet up sometime, eh?

Reply Re: The Aurorans You can e-mail me at [email protected]

Or AIM is The Jodd

For future reference please put purely OOC posts in the thread titled "Introduction to the Aurorans" That's where I will deal with OOC questions about the aurorans. I'd prefer this thread to be for all the IC posts regarding the Aurorans. So if you want to interact with the aurorans post here, if you want to ask questions, post in the other thread. Also, after talking to Derran I decided that the Auroran Dechtakar's are building the jumpgate in the galactic north, outside of both Jaaq'tah and Draconian League territory, in Pirate territory basicaly.

Reply If only old Karack were still on the go Pirate Terrority

If Karack and what remained of his Eldar Piratefleet (decreased in size know doubt not because of enemy action but because they had no more use for them. Those in the know will remember that Karack was chased, so to speak, out of NDI space) had anything to do with it, Pirates could have presented a certain 'thorn in the side' for constructions in your area.

But, its not to be.

At least, not now.

Not at the moment.

Reply Arrival Detected ASCV Heart of Arzar. Patrolling borders of 'Pirate Space'

The sensor display flashed, as a spike in energy readings was registered aboard the sleek Eldar vessel. The Heart of Arzar and its accompanying escort of Sword class Frigates had been on 'pirate Watch' for the past month, and apart from a few brief skirmishes with rogue vessels, things had been quiet. Until now.

The Eldar manning the sensor station looked up to the Captain "Sir, we are detecting a large enrgy spike, deep inside the patrolled area"

The captain brought the readout onto the main holo-screen "Could it be pirates perhaps?" he asked.

"Unlikely sir. Long range scans show what would appear to be a fleet of ships now congregating in the vicinity of the energy spike" replied the sensor officer

"A transportation of some sort. Notify the rest of the patrols, and inform command. Send sonstant feeds as soon as we gain any new data on the vessels. Ask command to advise".

The coms officer responded, and transmitted what they knew to their escorts, the rest of the groups on patrol, and command. Moments later, they were hailed;

"Heart of Arzar, this is Rex Squadron. We have recieved your transmission. Shall we investigate?" came the voice of Rex Squadrons commanding officer

"Negative commander. We are awaiting instruction from Command. We will maintain position, and wait". He hated to admit it, even to himself, but he would be glad of something to fill the endless hours of nothing they endured out here.

Perhaps these new vessels would prove of interest.

Reply The Wolfpack The young Warrior went running down the corridor, nearly knocking down fellow warriors and various crew members in his sprint to KarHallarn's quarters. Skidding to a stop in front of the large metal door he stopped for a moment calming his breathing then banged on the door.

"KarHallarn, the jumpgate has been completed, they are waiting for your order to activate it!"

KarHallarn stood up from the corner he had been meditating in and walked to the door, opening it and looking down at the warrior that had brought him the news.

"Back to your post, I'll be on the bridge in a moment."

With that KarHallarn, the Wolf, began walking toward the bridge of his command ship, a Ytrack Carrier. Nodding to the warriors he passed in the hall he felt relief, that finally they would no longer be alone in this wasteland, soon they would have a lifeline back to Aurora. Soon thousands of ships would be coming through that massive jumpgate. He reached the bridge and looking out the viewport saw the jumpgate, scaffolding falling away as the construction ships drifted slowly away from it. Once he saw the ships were all clear, and the scaffolding had drifted away, he turned to the warrior sitting at the Comm.

"Activate the jumpgate, send through a message telling the fleet we are ready for them."

The Comm officer activated the gate, it's arms separating and forming a swirling blue void between their spokes. Through this void was sent a message, simply telling those waiting on the other side that finally, just under a month later, the gate was completed. A few minutes later the first ships of the Heraani Expeditionary Fleet came into view, sliding through the gate two ships abreast. KarHallarn stood on the bridge watching the parade of ships cross his viewport. He was glad the first fleet sent through was Heraani, as he had originally come from the Heraan house before being sent to the Dechtakars. Of course outwardly he could harbor no favoritism, as their entire culture was built on the Dechtakars being neutral between the houses. However he was glad the Heraani had the honor of being the first fleet into this galaxy, and not the Moash. Of course, the Moashi dogs never would have come first, no matter what the honor...they always left the risking of lives to the Heraan house. He quietly hoped to himself that the Moash would be dragged down from their position as first house soon...perhaps in this new galaxy, new opportunities awaited for the Heraan to take their rightful place as First Family. The gate closing as the last Heraani ship came through broke KarHallarn from his contemplation. He would be expected to meet with the Heraan Mundokiir, who was leading this fleet. So he headed back to his quarters. Once back in his room he began changing into his formal wear, a loincloth. Just as he finished changing a beep came over his room's comm. He knew what it was, and knew where to go, without needing to answer it. He walked out of his room, walking down the halls covered in naught but his tattoo's, toward the Carriers bay. Climbing into the seat of his personal Firebird he took off, heading for the Flagship of the Heraani fleet, a Va Ytrack Carrier. Landing his Firebird on the carrier he climbed out, still lost in thought about the Heraani place in the Universe, leaving his ship to be taken care of by the technicians on the flightdeck. Two Heraani warriors immediately took up positions on his flanks as he began walking toward the Flagships hall. He came to the giant stone doors of the hall after a 20-minute walk, and after many gawking stares from Heraani warriors at his tattoos. He had almost forgotten how strange some of his tattoos would be to warriors that were not used to him, and had not seen them before. Namely the battle tattoo's on his arm, a white goose, in a ring of green, and a blue dot, in a circle of purple. The first indicating he had survived a battle with the Wild Geese, only twelve Aurorans in the entire empire had that tattoo. The second indicating he had survived a battle with the Polaris, which very few Aurorans had as well. As he stepped up to the stone doors they slowly swung open, admitting him to the hall, a massive stone room, looking like something that belonged more in an ancient temple than a starship. He walked to the center of the room and stood there, waiting for the Heraan Mundokiir to make his appearance. He did not have to wait long, soon Kuron The Silver Hand, so called for his cybernetic right arm, stepped into the room from a side entrance, which led directly to his quarters. He walked over to KarHallarn, his cybernetic left leg clinking on the ground as he walked and stopped a foot in front of KarHallarn, facing him. His face stern as stone, KarHallarn began to wonder if something was wrong, until Kuron's heavily scarred, and heavily tattooed face suddenly broke into a grin as he embraced KarHallarn like a brother, for indeed, they were.

"Little Wolf, long has it been since last I saw you. I see you had an uneventful job here, for that I am sorry. I had hoped you would add some tattoo's to your skin before I saw you again!"

With a grunt KarHallarn gave Kuron a lopsided grin.

"How am I supposed to accomplish that when I am tasked with babysitting engineers as they build an oversized gateway? This area of space seems to be more or less uninhabited...fortunately or unfortunately, however you look at it. However now that you are here, perhaps we may both add a few tattoo's?"

Kuron laughed, and looking down at his bare chest remarked.

"And where shall I put them Little Wolf? I am running out of space, I may have to retire soon simply because I will no longer be able to keep record!"

Indeed what Kuron said was true, standing there in nothing but his loincloth he looked from a distance as if he were clothed from his many tattoos. His face turned serious suddenly though, as they got down to business.

"Well Little Wolf...now that we are here we must begin with scouting this galaxy out. Simple orders, I want you to take your Wolfpack, and scout out the space further out, while I keep the fleet here to watch over the gate...perhaps now you'll get a chance to cover some of that skin. We'll spend more time catching up properly after you get back, I need you to go with all haste, the Moashi dogs..." he took the time to spit after saying this "are itching to come through the gate and steal the glory, however of course they want to know what they're coming in to...so they send us to risk our necks. So get going, and come find me as soon as you return."

KarHallarn nodded and turned to leave the hall, walked back to the bay, and took his Firebird back to his ship. Soon after he was back, the Wolfpack, ten Gjenchar Cruisers, and two Ytrack Carriers, jumped into hyperspace, heading for galactic southern space. A sector the locals called Ayenee.
