You aren't easily cutting through Mishhu armor with a searing blade. When mishhu armor themselves (zesuaium plates over thier bodies) they are going to be pretty damn well protected against it.
As for attack pods... well, the searing blade probably has little chance to deal worthwhile damage on them.

Anything the Searing Blade can do, a Zesuaium weapon can do just as well. Except burn, of course.
What kind of armor are we talking about here? Mishhu Zesu armor isn't going to be damaged by a Searing Blade -- unless you go E. Honda on the armor and have time to recharge the blade's bacterial cell without being fried. A Zesu weapon's probably your best bet anyway.
