Wiki Image Background Update Request Thread

The wiki's background color is now #000020, which matches the forums. If you see an image that was using a non-transparent background and you'd like it updated to the new darker blue, you can post its url here and I will replace it with an updated version. No animated images please.

Not that it wouldn't work great if everyone had used transparent .pngs to begin with, but there are now a huge number of images now that look disconcertingly off with their different colored backgrounds.

Personally, I would recommend just changing the color back to what it was previously as it would save people from all the work and grief needed to fix all their images. But it's your site, so its your call though Wes. Luckily I've been using transparent .png's for all my images from the start so it's not an issue for me.

Otherwise here's a list of just the Geshrinari Shipyards article images that I've found lack the right colored background and now look strange. Nash seemed to have used transparent .pngs for at least some of the articles, but having some transparent and some solid backgrounds also makes it appear a little odd.

Alternatively, putting the image in a table in order to frame it with a border is easier and looks decent enough.

Okay, I've updated all the starships: and geshrinari: namespace images.

Pretty much everything in the Origin namespace needs to be changed. there are a couple with the old DoGa L1 background, but those aren't used so I wouldn't bother with them.

On a second note, on all of the tables at the top of character pages, is half of the table supposed to be a different color?

The old location where the awards were is gone.

You need to update your character's awards to this format.

The old setting information folders of the site (like /org) were not transferred to the new installation because they were obsolete once the wiki was added to the site. See Obsolete Folders Cleanup Project.

Yes. If you start a table cell with ^ (for table headers) it makes the text bold and uses #000030. If you start a table cell with | (for normal table cells) the text is normal and the background is #000020. This is intentional (see wiki:syntax ).
