Welcome to Star Army! Don't feel like you have to rush right into making your own plot, test the waters a bit first to get a feel for the setting and what you would like to do. But definitely don't be afraid to unleash your creativity, too, down the line if you've got that aforementioned juicy idea. That is how the RP continues to thrive and grow.

It is as close to what I wanted to play as I could. I kinda shifted him from a JAG/detective type to a smarty-pants adviser/doctor.

Hey. so sorry to be late on the draw, and if with this character you're not interested in another so soon then I totally understand. However I noticed that you had a desire to make an MP/PI type of character. Well I've recently started an interest check for a plot involving a group I recently made called the Nepleslian National Security Office. Specifically it follows one of their field teams, Field Team Six. They are essentially a direct-action team. To get the kind of feel for what they would do, think of Section 9 from "Ghost in the Shell" or perhaps Tom Clancy's "Ghost Recon" and "Rainbow Six" series.

While they would be doing quite a bit of shooting and death, agents of the NNSO are badged officers, and they don't take prisoners of war like Marines do - they arrest suspects. While they are certainly far more harsh and violent about it than normal cops, they do arrest people if the opportunity presents itself to bring them before a Nepleslian court of law.
