I actually have a couple of questions relating to economics on Yamatai.

1) Is the economy mostly capitalist or mostly socialist?

2) Is there/what is the sales tax and/or income tax?

Mostly socialist. Also, the law prevents the Yamataian government from taxing individuals (they only tax businesses and make most of their money with sectors of government controlled corporations like KFY and KES).
