If you were supposed to get an email from the forum but didn't (e.g. to verify your account for registration), email Wes at stararmy@gmail.com or talk to me on Discord for help. Sometimes the server hits our limit of emails we can send per hour.
My next plot reply will be sometime next weekend at the latest. I'll also try to find a lull between waves of homeworks (homeworks come in waves around here) sometime mid-week and reply then.
I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding. ^_^;;
Celia post coming later today. (After I get some sleep and Wes answers my tech question.) ^_^
By the way, if anyone has any suggestions regarding the Celia plot (speed up pace, slow down pace, more NPCs, less NPCs, more/less anything else), feel free to post here or PM me.
Yo, Mr. Storyline. o_o yeah, you know whom I"m talking to. Could you please inform me of whom is of higher rank than me. So I know who to salute properly and whot o expect a salute from? o_o it's for RP purposes mostly, Taii Kaori being hardcore about being militaristic and all.
Question Yang, I have an idea for that ship. Would you hear me out on it?
here it is:
The ship has no lifesigns on it right? how about a abnormal frequency that's a century and a half old leading them to put a small away team there? Instead of life...they find unlife in the form of the ghosts of the crew who died horrible lonely fearful deaths?
I'm actually pretty flexible on the plot, Tyler. But, (^_^; I'm reluctant to turn this story arc into a scary ghost story. My original idea was a diplomacy-themed adventure, with the main source of conflict being the planet being on the verge of nuclear war. Later, I added a spiritual bent to it. Um, I think I can get away with adding a ghost to the story. Would that be all right?
We can do a scary ghost story arc after this one if you want... Assuming this arc doesn't take forever. ^_^
Well what I had in mind wasn't a plot, just something to spice it up and arouse curiousity. Nothing anyone has to go out of their way for, maybe someone could reachout from the other side and tell the story what happened to the ship?
Oh yes. Your char outranks Wikkedson by 6 ranks, in fact.
Don't be surprised by his talking down to you, though. I remember seeing some Vietnam War films where new officers don't get any respect from their subordinates until they earn it. Mostly because the officers get the training and the education, but the soldiers believe that they are better than the officers because they have more combat experience.
I'm in no position to comment on whether this reflects what really happened/happens in the US Army. It's certainly true in the Star Army though.
I also have this theory that Wikkedson treats everybody that way. ^_^
Well wikkedson needs to get off his ass and tell me to do something so i'm not perpetually standing around waiting on him to say "dismissed" imo. B)
And that was seen to a greater degree back in the 70s than nowadays. I'd say for the first year or two as an officer you get much less respect because you don't know jack but you're still told to lead everyone.
