Ready Room
A different person, a warrant officer, was giving the debrief. She was a light blue Neko with stark white hair. She spoke while pointing at a projection of the battlefield, the projection beginning a playback of the battle from the very beginning.
"Avatar Squadron is our squadron of the day. Taking down bomber and battleship alike. Your squadron leader will give you your final tallies on kills which we will add to your kill boards."
She then commenced to her droning about what was good, and what was bad about each pilot's use of their craft. During the monologue, one of Avatar's other members leaned over to Ayane and whispered while trying not to be noticed by the briefing Neko,
"Nice job taking down that battleship, brass might thank you with something."

It seemed that every ship was detonating something, and Yamatai was winning by far.
With each large beam from one of the Sharies, one or even sometimes a few L'Kor vessels would detonate. The cruisers were taking a bit more time to take vessels down, but it was evident that they were. Within the end of thirty minutes, the majority of the L'Kor fleet lay in ruin, with only a handful of extremely damaged carriers being guarded by a failed vanguard.
Suddenly, the vessels began turning away from the fleet and the sensors picked up charging FTL drives. The response from gunnery consoles throughout the fleet echoed the response of two battleships detonating violently as their cores sent every system throughout the vessel into a fiery blaze.
Of the entire forty-seven ships that opposed them, a mere eight escaped. Most of the escapees were smaller vessels, with only two of them being carriers. The rest of the ships remaining lay derelict and burning, with a slim chance of any retaliation or counter-attack.
Some of the cruisers broke formation to take on survivors and prisoners of war, and the rest commenced repairs and rearmament from a few transports that soon arrived from behind the frontlines. The Star Army had suffered only seventeen casualties, and all had been recovered. The damaged cruiser, YSS Saigō, was patched up to the best of the ability of the transport and repair ships and rejoined formation.
It was the post-battle calm that began to reach even the far corners of the fleet, and Division Three gained one battle star on her record.
